    12% in high/reverse, combines to 33% in low and its about perfect. In fact on 35s i wouldnt mind being lower

    Thank you for the tip and advice. I have a RZR 900s sitting on 34" mud swampers. I stay in low all day long since it's built for the mud. I just purchased the 25% gear reduction, but haven't installed it. have STM clutches that were turned for 32"s on stock gearing. It turns the 34s just fine, but I will take your advice and see if the shop needs to retune my clutch.

      I promise they do after the fact whether they understand it or not.

    Match your gearing to
    Your activity with your tire size. Those numbers may vary per person.
    The “25%” reduction option added with low gear independent reduction is the most common reduction being ran. And can still run 70 with the turbo transmissions. With the right clutching.
    Turbo r has lower than 25% reduction parts in it and the new 1000xp have the 25% parts in them from factory.
    Polaris doesn’t seem to think it’s a bad idea…they’re just following the trend of their parts sales from all the reductions being done over the last 3 years

      But people are putting in non turbo and being limited. Not a good reduction for them. Your group is very different than average people I deal with that bought this unknowing.

      And I’m pretty positive none of those you mentioned have a 25% or greater in high range.

      That’s true turbo r and new 1k have higher high gears to compensate. The non turbos can still hit 60-65. We’ve got a few buddies with 1ks that have the 53/26/26 internal plus 30% portals. One of them we had get a duraclutch from you earlier this year. He’s on 35’s and loves that setup with the duraclutch. Several of our people have the 53/26/26 plus the satv stage 3 to add another 13 in all gears.
      Sent a guy to you within the last couple days. Said he bought 3 belts off y’all. We love your belts in our machines. So much different feeling with them vs any other. Been in the big rocks for three years now with them and still look and perform like brand new.
      I hate the labeling of the reductions as the way everybody refers to them. Popo changes so much stuff every year it’s not accurate year to year lol

      Our east coast/rock crawling/rock bouncing/hill killer group is definitely different lol. BUT it is bad if someone bought something that someone didn’t do a good job explaining to them the total effects of gearing changes

    I have a rzr xp1000 and we have 32 In tires live in West Virginia so it’s road legal and we need to be able to do 70mph would you recommend a clutch kit or do a gear reduction in low because we run a lot of trails and the belt slips sometimes

    • @Hunterworks
      @Hunterworks  Před rokem

      They do run at least that. No reduction in high. Email me this todd@hunterworks.com
