I love how the ADS gives are more traditional FPS style of controlling recoil and the left click gives the CSGO style of recoil control. Seems like really smart game design to appeal to a large audience.
Emerican Pyscho traditional doesn’t just mean old. If it’s been done one way for almost 20 years, that’s the tradition. Not being able to aim isn’t standard, it’s just old
I really like that they did this, as I like the way some things in handle in CS, but also like traditional ADS handling

I would disagree, in that ADS feels very inaccurate in Valorant (which I like). From my experience most FPS with ADS keep the aim steady with some inaccuracy, but the gun can still hit pretty well, in this game that doesn't happen nearly as much. Also ADS isn't used all that much in Valorant, more like long range spots which there aren't that many of, but it's still used here and there, overall you'd rather keep your mobility and not use ADS.

I love how ADS is normal aiming mechanics where the bullets follow the crosshairs but when you hipfire it’s CS style, not only does it make sense but it awards people who get good at multiple styles of aiming
It’s still the same CS recoil when you ADS, the fire rate is just slowed. The bullets go above the crosshair.

Dose1 yes, he got early access, which Riot gave in hopes that he would like the game and talk about it, but if he had been paid, a black box that said “Includes Paid Promotion” would have appeared at the beginning of the video on the bottom left of the video. I love how some peps of the comment section is saying that shroud is getting paid for this but i think shroud is just enjoying the game and trying to put as much content about this game so that more peps will be interested in the game and play it and that he isnt paid to do this and also it has already somewhat confirmed that riot are not paying content creators and streamers to advertise their game.
This game is closer to 1.6 than GO and Shroud really really enjoys it even more because of that. There just hasnt been a game like VALORANT ever and ofc CS veterans are gonna like it for being a new take on the unexplored genre.

personally I can't say my opinion in this as I haven't gotten my chance to play it PepeHands, but if enough people consider that it's something that needs to change I hope they listen.
I'm probably wrong, but the way I understand armor is that if you get hit by a 50dmg bullet, 25 will go to the health, and 25 to the armor.
But you have 150hp anyway
I don't recon someone not getting 1-shot by a vandal bullet or a sheriff bullet to the head, so that's why I'm doubting

It’s pretty cool how almost every weapon in valorant is viable, and pretty good. They just fit different play styles, whether you prefer to push, flank, snipe, anchor, or suppress.
We want you to tell the difference between these two guns:
Operator, the tactical scope rifle in Valorant

2:20 - 2:30 the heavy armour absorbs 50 damage and it is 50% plus the revolver does 160 damage. I thought that meant: first 100 damage takes 50 on the person and 50 on the armour and then it is 60 damage left for the revolver to do so it does that to the person => 110 damage. Isnt that right?

I know the shield mechanic is emulating the difference between the kevlar and the kevlar + helmet in CS:GO but I think you got the point in the armor mechanic which is making the armor only a one-button thing. I may suggest to Valorant that the players must be able to double-buy the armor without hurting much of the cost.
2:33: Why does the Sheriff NOT do one-shot headshots with the heavy shield? The Heavy shield absorbs 50% damage, but ONLY for 50 damage.
The sheriff does 160 damage, you have 100 health. From the first 100 damage 50 go to the shield and 50 to your health and then there's still 60 damage left, meaning you get a total of 110 damage even with the heavy shield.
It will only NOT one-shot you, if the distance is 30-50m.
And the vandal should be able to one-shot everyone at every distance.
I believe the shield doesn't work like that, if you take 200 damage the shield will break after absorbing the 100 damage, and then the remaining 100 damage will be applied to your health. In the sheriffs case, you would take 80 damage to the shield and the remaining 80 to health, so you would survive

Quick question about the example with the Sheriff pistol and the heavy shield. I don't get why it still isn't one shotting with 160 to the head. Isn't the shield supposed to absorb 50% of damage taken for up to 50 damage, which would make the damage you take 160 - 50 = 110 (more than 100 damage)?

@ooczzy I mean, Riot themselves confirmed it and if they did pay him then he would only be saying good things about the game and how it's 10 out of 10 the best game ever made etc. It is illegal to get paid and not mention that they're getting paid. If a mod notices something is up then they will contact the main office and tell them something is up. They can then question the suspect and check his recent activity and so forth. He is NOT getting paid. Why would he risk his successful career just to say something good about ONE game?

Wouldn't the sheriff still one shot to the head for heavy shields? If the heavy shield absorbs 50% and breaks after absorbing 50, that means you've eaten 100 damage when it breaks, but its blocked 50. Therefore it makes your total health 150, which is enough for a sheriff headshot to kill. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think shroud got his maths off.
It does, I think shroud was thinking the damage reduction works like in CS where even 1 Armor will grant you the full damage reduction
But we have seen way too many 1 shots in the game play for that to be the case.
The sherrif does 160 damage to the head under 30m. but 145 after 30m. So a sherrif headshot could leave you at 5hp if you're full shield and full health past 30m. Not likely to hit that long shot anyway, and it's common not to have 100% of your shield left, because it carries over rounds.

Are you sure that vandal doesn’t one tap head with heavy armor? It deals over 150 and heavy armor only gets you 150 as your health pool (with 50% of that taken by armor while armor is still active. So, if I take 50 damage, 25 goes to base health damage and 25 goes to shields leaving me at 25 shield 75 health). That means if I get hit for 151 then I die with heavy shields.
Personally I think that Deagle not oneshotting through level 2 armor is a wise move because:
1) $800 asset should NOT counter a $1000 asset in ONE click.
2) 40 secs freeze time allows you to make a better strategy, use it to set up your team. Strategize more!
3) CS:GO Deagle is "almost" AWP for $800 and much more movement speed. It's absurd.
