Skoota 28 power cat escorting a ferry

  • This video was taken by Rick, a Skoota 28 builder when he and his family visited us to try our Skoota for themselves. It was quite a windy day (around 20 knots) the ferry wake made the Skoota roll more than normal, the ferry is going at 15 knots. We have twin 20hp outboards - the ferry 3600hp!

      The Skoota 28 has twin 20hp outboards, cruising speed 12 knts, max is 16.
      The ferry has 3600hp, cruising speed 14 knots, which is why we were going at the same speed

      The engines are twin Tohatsu 20 hp, which give a top speed of 16 knots, we normally cruise at 10-12 at approx 7mpg.
