The amount of work done by Polyphony Digital on this game is ridiculous. The best £70 (or few grand on a racing setup) you will ever spend.

I’d love DD and better rig, but don’t NEED it. Very cheaply got into a game that has lots of fun and my driving has dramatically improved. VR is next

I've had the PSVR2 since it was released and I simply can't drive without it anymore. On a flat screen, even if it is very large, it doesn't feel the same. I may be a little slower with them, but the experience is much more fun
I'm the same way. I couldn't imagine going back to a flat screen ever again. I honestly don't know why more pros don't use it.

Put any one of these I racers in a motion sim cockpit with a fanatec DD extreme and then put that VR headset on them and we'll see if they call iRacing sim racing anymore.. No disrespect to iRacing or anybody that races on it I never have and I'm sure it's an excellent Sim but VR is where its at
Buying my first PSVR2 headset this week, can't wait to drive cars around the nordschleife in VR.
Don’t worry if you feel a bit motion sick to start with, keep at it with short sessions, and you’ll get your VR legs in no time. I was very worried about this as haven’t been able to play first person shooters for years but am fine in VR.
One thing is, the ups and downs of the Nurburgring may not be the best place to start 😂
Tip: start with a slow car, it helps you ease in
as the others say, take it slow in getting use to the motion sickness, and before no time you'll be pumping 200mph up the back straight of the nordschleife , you can also play res evil 4 & 8 in vr, so premium
@@colinshackleford8345 I have done iRacing in VR a year ago with worse resolution. I feel like when you are driving a car it feels natural and you dont get motion sickness when you are in controll.
But for shooters in VR where everything moves around quick and your person moves around without you moving thats when you feel it the most.
I bought one today, honestly the experience is the best but don’t expect quality of graphics, mine has some grainy texture on probably the lenses,i always see something grainy which stays with my view and doesn’t move. Planing to get it replaced, does anyone had this issue?
FYI: you can use your sony headset with the psvr2 too as well. I do the same for the full sound experience in vr as well

I don't know if I would be able to recreate it in GT7, but one of my most abiding memories of a road trip through stunning scenery was in a Diablo GT, #25 of 80 produced by Lamborghini, through the Swiss Alps on my way to the Lamborghini factory in Sant Agata.
As gorgeous as this game is, what you just described.... Pure bliss. Hold on to that memory as tight as you can.
When I see this kind of videos, I really consider to buy a VR :D
let this comment nudge you over the line, it takes time getting use to the motion sickness, but once you're used to it, its properly next level, along with the resident evil games, go for it !!

Given the advantage of depth perception with racing in VR I'm surprised more streamers don't utilise it.
Sooo good to see some psvr2 content Rory👍.. i know its difficult to talk to your community on your streams in VR and i imagine using a talk to speak app would be going to quick to keep up, but it is the most enjoyable way to play the game no doubt.
Trouble is a little bit to much time in there you come out finding flat screen exactly that, Flat .. I haven't been able to go back, it takes some adjusting as artificial markers especially for exits when x or y leave your screen dont work as there is no edge, so you have to drive more as you would in real life looking around the corner for a line for the exit. I was knocking on A* door before getting it, dropped down to high B whilst adjusting and just enjoying it again. I have a lot less time on my hands now but have crept back up to high A in VR and can hit the top 100 occasionally 50 on a week i have a bit of time. Much more consistent also. Great video and footage, i wish more people got to try it as even as good as your footage is its still only 1 eye. You have to try it to know 👍

Hey @Rory this type of content is amazing, its just such a beautiful game. It reminds me of games when I was younger and how much games and the video game world has become such an escape. Its given access to amazing visuals that the average joe just simply will not get the joy of seeing easily.

Outstanding car choices as well, my dream 5 car garage would be Ferrari 250 GT SWB, Ferrari F40, Audi RS6, Yaris GR to stay grounded and a Rolls Royce Phantom for those days that I want to be driven 😁. With all the money in the world, a track day car for me would be any of the screaming V10 era F1 cars, ideally one in red though please

You need to start in small doses to get your VR eyes and stomach. Took me 3 days before getting fully acclimated. 5 minutes day 1, 10 minutes day 2 then on day 3 click 4 hours. PS don’t start on Oval and use slower car to start
Hopefully you won't have any problem with it at all. Everyone's different. First day I got it I played nearly 2 hours straight without issue.
If you have prior issues with motion sickness, then just do like michelgagne said and ease into it. And don't give up right away. Your brain will acclimate.
2 of my favorites made the list... LFA, and Zonda are some of my favorites also.

Great video. Driving just for the fun of it. I’d do exactly the same but my track of choice is Tokyo Expressway South East Short I think. It’s my guilty pleasure. VR2, add wheel and test out each car on a ride round the city and a hot lap to see which tops my leaderboard.
Really appreciate how individual each car feels and performs and the characteristics you recognise inside brands.

I do the same on nordschleife, no better way to relax. It is quite rare to have a game you actually play for the gameplay it provides and not cause you're forced to login by some gamepass or season objectives.

As someone already pointed out, we get caught up with points and rankings all to much and forget about the simple joy of getting to drove these cars with the insane detail that PD has put into them. It's only because it's not streamer friendly. Can't interact with the chat and the lack of an in depth hud all but kills it for competitive racing. Personally, I use it anyway in sport, just can't race without it and most cars you can read the guage easy enough. But him being primarily a streamer, just doesn't make a ton of sense for him

im not the best driver but i felt i improved from vr, just buy it for the pure immersion, its amazing, gt7 and the resident evil games are the best gaming experiences out there right now, go for it ! and take your time getting used to the motion sickness
I tried PCVR on Assetto Corsa Competizione with a 4090 and it looks lacklustre. F1 24 looks awful in VR. PSVR2 and this GT7 are insanely optimised.

Sadly, not in the game. Though, Gran Turismo isn't suited for that kind of vehicle.
Though, VR is on my list to get. Right after I upgrade from the PS4 to the PS5.
Then, It'll be great to drive the 911 RSR and the newest Viper GTS... the sounds that viper makes are incredible. I'd take that over an LFA any day.

Has anyone ever tried GT7 in VR with a pad? I'd love to get the PS VR 2 but is it worth playing with a Dualsense ?
I started out that way, and it was fine..just having PSVR2 was worlds better than cockpit view..not even a close comparison. I was satisfied for quite awhile, but finally decided to put a rig together, and OMG the immersion went to another level! So yeah it doesn't hurt to do it in stages..you won't miss a wheel and pedals if you haven't got 'em, but once you do, you won't go back. And you won't go back to a screen once you get used to PSVR2.

Depends on your taste. If you like more content and more cars and like casual fun, GT7 would be better. If you're competitive and want serious racing and more realistic physics and a more immersive experience, ACC would be a better pick for you then.

@@ahmedali5881 the lobbies die down once it gets to night time, but even in the night time there will be one half populated lobby, in my experience, when you have crossplay enabled.
ACC has no vr on PlayStation. I personally switch between both. ACC for serious driving and GT7 for fun

@@arnie78wa maybe 1 slot a week would work. Chat is where channel engagement is and thus where income comes from. Ignore chat and you lose income sadly.
