  • Honestly, this spring has got me sprung! ok, that was whack.. But seriously, the GameChanger Audio Light Pedal sounds incredible. I've been using it a bit on my drums and a lot on moody piano parts that need a bit of organic movement and texture! Thanks again Gamechanger for sending it over and letting my have a play with it. I've never been a big fan of spring reverbs either, but I love the kinds of sounds you can get out of this. It's somewhere on my long list of things I may want to consider purchasing some day if my bank account allows it.

Great video! Thanks for turning me on to this pedal, Ricky! I’m definitely going to pick one up.
One note: unless I’m mistaken, the “Harmonic” setting refers to the series of harmonics. It’s accentuating the overtones related to the fundamental(s) being played. So you’re correct in it not being “harmonic” in the sense that it doesn’t coincide with Western Harmony, equal temperament, etc.
    Cheers!

Beautifully presented, thank you! Regarding the harmonic effect, each note contains harmonic overtones to infinity. The springs and spring tank add additional layers of harmonic overtones. It sounds like the harmonics function on the pedal filters out the input and mainly outputs the overtones of the springs, creating beautiful analog fractals.

The biggest improvement for me would be to have a stereo in and out. I love spring reverbs, but my god, somebody please release a stereo one already. The only stereo spring reverbs I can find are rack mount units from the 80's, which are cool, but lots of maintenance is required when purchasing them generally. Great review!

@@Leviathan-mj8gi Yeah I hear you there, the rack units I mentioned have 2 separate spring reverb tanks. Maybe one day a new stereo version will appear!

Have you tried the EXP input with CV clock or clocked LFO via CV?
