Actually its officially locked at 250km/h. But the speedo isnt showing the speed at 100% accuracy. My C350 can drive exactly the same speed when it hits the speed limiter :) Had a funny race against a W205 on the Autobahn when both of us had been hitting the 250km/h limiter while I was about to take over - looked very silly 😂
@wtcvictim: Yes, it's a stock 2009 SLK350 - R171- with a 3.5L V6 and 305HP! No modification on engine or exhaust.....straight and level road, 7G Tronic in S mode...
this is m272 non-cgi 2008-2011 for facelift SLK R171 with 301hp/305ps and 360nm. sound so good!! just wondering if i put straight pipe to it, would sound amazing
@wtcvictim: that is what I was wondering myself.... so, maybe the street has a light downslope which was not visible, or its the premium fuel at 102 octane ;-)
The new SLK350 R172 has 306 hp as well, but a different engine. For me on a test drive it seemed to be a bit slower than the one in my SLK350 R171 'Sportmotor'... Both are top speed limited to 250 km/h. This brings an indicated reading of 261 as shown in the video and is then regulated down to indicated 256 km/h....
La 350 R172 est plus lourde et n'a plus d'option boite manuelle. Mais en principe, y'a que 2s de différence au 0/100. C'est plutôt à chercher coté sensation, plus les voitures sont vieilles et moins elles filtrent les sensations (bruit, vibrations, ...) ;)
@fourstripes767 auf werksangaben leg ich nicht viel wert, da jeder sein auto unter anderen bedingungen testet. wäre aber ein sehr interessantes duell... gute fahrt weiterhin...

i´ve done 270 on mine, and is the 2005 model with only 272 hp and 350 or 360 nm ,not sure. do you think its normal or the speed limiter is been removed
There's written 260 km/h as top speed, and the car went at 261 km/h. It's an EPIC WIN!

@fourstripes767 the fuel could be an aswer since I've seen a slight increase using carrera 100. What kind of petrol are you using with 102 octane ?
this guy must have the 301 hp 3.5 engine. it's actually faster than the new slk 350 by .2 seconds.

There is a large S in the shiftmode annunciation
R172 350 has 306 hp and 370 Nm - R171 350 Sportmotor has 305 hp and 360 Nm, but acceleration 0-100km/h as Mercedes: R172 5.6 sec and R171 5.4 sec
Meiner r171 hat 5.0 sec....
