I am the proud new owner of this little piece of awesome. It's fantastic, and we just took it on our first trip for a two night stay at a camp ground. We added a Yeti 500 watt battery and are mounting a DVD projector to project on to the gate/out of the back on a screen with the back open.
We will also be adding a powered fan to the roof vent and wiring up the internal lights, (gate and overhead lights that he has mounted). The star lights are being replaced with RGB light strips for mood.
I enjoyed your build series on this camper. I think the buyer got a steal for the time and ingenuity you put into it. Escaping California is a good deal too.
Yeah time alone would’ve been way more…. if he did just a little more to “finish it off” the aluminum trim outside I think saw in one of the build videos that was gonna be on It ,and made electrical wiring complete ( meaning have it all tucked and setup for any /all camp appliances ,etc) ,some sort of way to connect cooking ……would’ve doubled that price easily imo….then Again I don’t know shit about all this , just seems like a huge bargain to me 😂
You could have sold it on eBay and have people bid on it and kept the minimum bid at $3500. By the sounds of it the new owners are pretty happy with it. But you had fun building it and a lot of folks watched you do it and learned from your experience. i watched you build the whole thing and it was very interesting. Thanks for doing this and good luck with whatever you do.
The MDF flooring weight could improve if instead of MDF you'd use poplar or pine, which are lighter woods. They're more susceptible to denting, but it would definitely lower the whole camper's weight.
@@MotherlodeMotors LOL, it sort of stood out being both sides at same place, and I've seen some make that mistake, so came to the erroneous (but seems not obvious) conclusion. I've nearly done that one myself though.

None of this is to say it wasn't perfect as is. Just some personal touches to make it ours :)

great build. impressive. what type of glue did you use for the fibergalss covering? standard type wood glue?
I believe it was titebond 2 or 3. Whatever the waterproof one is.

You trailer dented both sides of the Camry?!
