62 Galaxie vs 65 Fury? We had one of those Galaxies for a few years. In about 1968 the heads were rebuilt which did not stop the excessive oil burn, but it was less. It had 100k on it and the engine was about as sludgy as this Fury. For the Fury - A set of KYB shocks all around and a tightening of the steering box usually makes a big C body Chrysler a very happy driver. I think I used the Dodge 1/2 ton style of rear KYB shocks as they have a longer rod travel. They usually ride and handle better when set at the highest recommended setting. Set the height before the alignment, it changes the geometry if the height is changed. FYI, there is a bit of rear steering in the Hotchkiss design rear axle with leaf springs and articulating shackles. With the anti dive, anti squat, and anti roll geometry that Chrysler engineered, they make great highway eating road cars.

Spraying it with the paint you purchased would have given you better results.

MKe it look good by: 1) iron your canvas on 2) sand down once dry to clear up seams. 3) 25% water not 50 4) sand between EVERY coat of paint. 5) don’t listen to chrisgriffith because his art work doesn’t go flying down the highway at 60-70mph (80 here in Texas) 6) either way, nice freaking work on this man!

Paul Shinn channel is a great channel with loads of info on the Model A. Those ar such fun cars I myself is thinking about getting one I would really love a 1932 ford but those things are so expensive and hard to find a good one because many were used as Hot Rods and still are today but the modal A is really cool.

While I don't need (or want) to drive on our scorcher days, but to know that a mechanically sound car will be fine on our normally warm days is comforting. Running on the Stromberg 97 is an oldschool way of hot rodding in the day. What you have is a 4 banger hot rod. You didn't say whether or not the head is a high compression head or not. My 4 banger uses a Stromberg 81 and I have had great performance with it. It is an original 81 and I have read that it is preferred for the 4 cylinder over the 97. Of course the Zenith carb would be a good choice to go back to.

Use a screw on door knob bumper on the door aligned with the contact point. They make stainless steel and you can paint escutcheon black to match.

Drill new holes on the window for drains and fill the wrong holes with LEXEL. If the functions don’t damage camper trying to “ fix it”!

Same issue with VW valve covers… dry cork and a bale to compress the seal… upgrades include covers with two bolts.😅

Use a micro fiber roller and Rustoleum above the waterline paint as the top coat… results in a very smooth finish.

When you put that hub cap back on, I have a 1930 Model A take the wheel off put the hub cap on and on the inside of the wheel bend those tabs over that are sticking through. the hub cap will never fall off again.

I need to replace drivers door harness on my 2006 sienna but can't get to first base. ALL the wires were cut and somebody pulled them out to inside of the car. Only place I see on inside of car to pass the harness is a 1/2 by 1" slot in the car frame. Seems too small to pass connectors through! Help!😅😅
