Could you raise your monitor to eye level so that you are looking at the camera like Holly is from now on?
By the time I was involved with playboy, was after the girls left, so around the time Heff married crystal I was actually at the “wedding” she was a bit cold everybody though seem to be very sweet I had very good experiences and I finally posed about two years later which was super exciting, I remember the first time I met heff it was at dinner/movie night, he looked up at me and said “hello darling “looked at me again started to laugh and said “you look just like my ex girlfriend Kendra Robinson you are beautiful welcome to the musician kid “prior to this all of his friends like dick all the way Ray kept being a little bit weird “you should’ve been here years ago you’re perfect “nobody is perfect and I told him flat out a couple of years ago I was 16 🤦🏼♀️Other than a few sketchy characters my time at the mansion was always wonderful memories obviously I never dated him I never had intimate moments with him so I know that and trust that she is telling the truth because I was lucky but I’m not going to lie I saw some shit… Loved this episode definitely get Bridget on here next! You are killing it!
Also I worked at Hooters it was my first job I was hired at 17 but they had to wait two weeks till I turned 18 honestly I just wanted the outfit and the experience it was not the best but I have respect for it LOL I still have the outfits! And it is absolutely true when working at Hooters they advise you to only talk to the women when they come in and the children do not upset anybody it was crazy!
The hooters memories are coming back full swing! The kitchen and the managers were only men, The rest was women who honestly got super catty But also we would have to be escorted out to our cars because sometimes the people that came in to eat or drink got a little weird that’s another reason I upped and quit but I think it’s kind of funny that a lot of girls that did play boy started at Hooters
@LetsGetIntoIt Sloan your the Man mad love from Boston Buddy!! If I had the guts to do a pod cast I'd want it to be as cool as yours. Keep up the good work my dude!!!👍
SHE IS STILL ABSOLUTELY STUNNING GORGEOUS ❤❤! STAND HOLLY!!😊
Being graded an A but being made to feel ugly… ahhh that level of abuse where they want you to feel like you wouldn’t be anything without them but secretly they’re insecure you’ll leave them.
I was thinking the same. It’s very abusive and narcissistic behavior.
It’s sickening 😢😢
But these are grown women who subject themselves to this. The more materialistic you try to obtain the more people your gonna run into this. I don’t feel bad for them to be honest. They signed up for this knowing what was entailed. It’s like the women who end up in his bedroom and speak of how disgusting it All was and then keep continuing to show up to these parties. They used hef for money and fame and he used them. It was purely transactional.
@@Peepandbridgette87I completely disagree. Read her book Down The Rabbit Hole - very eye opening.
@@Peepandbridgette87 I think these girls didn't have money and he exploited them and promised them the moon. They were trying to make themselves better and coudn't figure out a better way.
I love Holly! My Nona was a playboy bunny at 17 and was groomed by Hefner but when I watched secrets of playboy she told me that everyone is lying about him and that he’s a good guy, but he literally groomed her as a minor and he was like 40. People around him really are blindly supportive of him even though he’s clearly an abuser
I’m glad that you can see that regardless of what your Nona told you. 🙌🏻
what’s a nona? i’m greek and Nona is the greek word for godmother haha so i’m trying to figure out what u mean
@@_birdieprobably grandmother. A lot of italian-Americans use that term in the states....other folks too
I believe they knew what he was doing in grooming them but since he had a lot of money you know how that is. People care more about the green piece of paper then another human being
@@merpaderp2361i thought they meant to type "nana" or somethin but the "o" is far away from the letter "a" on our keyboards 😅 Lol
So Hugh could have tons of "girlfriends" and also be with girls that were not "girlfriends", but the girlfriends couldn't have a relationship with someone else because they were "cheating"? Dude...
I think it was all control.
Yup. Sad how he treated these women as disposable & their feelings weren’t considered.
@@cherishoneal9108It was definitely control
Classic one penis rule. He's thinking he can have a harem of women and control them, because he's entitled and privileged and a white man 😠
It's same logic polygamists use. It's stupid, but it didn't originate with HH.
Holly hasn’t aged a bit! Just looks way less stressed and relaxed ❤️ Beautiful girl, inside and out. Loved hearing her story.
she’s always going to be one of the original IT girls for me ♡
Plastic surgery and fillers certainly keep you young!

Man….. SLOAN, you have got one of the most sought after women to interview ever! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 congrats 🍾
I know! Sloan is slaying! Love his work ethic!
I was thinking the same thing. Great work, interesting interview with good questions that were revealing yet respectful 👍🏼 👍🏼
This is a great interview!! I'm enjoying your content so much. Thank you so much for all your hard work. I know you probably don't hear this enough, but THANK YOU! I appreciate you & all you do! ❤️
👏🏼👏🏼agreed thanks for all you do SLOAN
This is brilliant.
I found it really interesting when Holly is talking about being undiagnosed with autism and how she enjoyed the scripting at hooter because it made social interactions easier for her . That wouldn't have even occurred to me until she explained it.
She doesn’t come across to me as painting herself to be a victim. She’s just answering his questions.
💯 agree.
Could it be because he never married her and didn't let her have his kid. If Anyone ever wanted to be there and stay there, it's definitely her🤷
Because she was not a victim
Not acting like a victim 👍🏻
@@myopinionintitledtoit8590 statistically it takes someone an average of 7 tries to leave an abusive/toxic relationship. That can take years....
Shout out to Holly for being a late diagnosed autistic queen! As another person who didn't have that information until later in life, I see you girl! 💖
❤❤❤I wish that more people understood this .
I don't have a formal diagnosis, but I have most of the pre requisites and others with autistic children or siblings have randomly said how I have traits that they see in their loved ones. My university said that I also score highly. My father is also autistic. A diagnosis would certainly make sense to me and how I act, react and perceive things.
I don't live in my country of birth, so, I will wait until I have citizenship to chase a formal diagnosis.
Holly seems such a lovely, articulate, down to earth and nice peson! As a fellow late diagnosed Autistic woman, I started listening to her speak, and really resonated with lots of her experiences, and I thought... I bet she's Autistic, too. So when she said she was, I definitely did a mini fist pump 😂 ❤
I watched for five minutes, KNEW she was autistic, and then looked down at the comments and was like wow!
@@valeriemccallum5021 SAME. I'm still in the process of unpacking how being autistic has had an impact on my life. Unfortunately, I found it super relatable when she was talking about how it made her more vulnerable to winding up in compromising situations. This was really eye opening for me and I'm so grateful that she's at down and shared her story!
Holly seems so chill and a super strong woman. Great interview!
I think bc she's moved on...so she's not angry or bitter about her past, she's very level headed and aware of what went down, and she's healed from those traumas❤❤
She was attracted to the money and fame. Then she realised she wanted to protect this. Cutting out any woman who came close. Basically if he was alive today we would be watching many court cases against his behaviour. She matured and realised this and what happened is definitely not okay
He’d liked Torturing her …emotionally & physically! He’s a Sick pervert
Sloan!!
please just look at the camera it’s a weird interview
Seems like disinterested
but the questions are excellent
so i blame the camera angle
Yea I seriously doubt there would be many court cases. He made many of these girls sign documents for hush money
Sloan you are a sensitive but focused interviewer. We can tell you do your research before an interview but never over-talk the person you’re interviewing.
Kudos to Holly for fearlessly sharing her truth! I read her book and found it enlightening and interesting. She is the personification of enduring and prevailing!
He didn't do his research😂😂 He didn't know what her book was about & didn't know she Hosted the Playboy murders
@@tanyadouglas5241or maybe he asked those questions so she had a chance to tell us for herself
@@trashedout6 Nooooo 🤣🤣🤣
If he's the interviewer, as he was, he should look in the camera. He never looked forward. He's got to know he looks down at his monitor the whole time.
So distracting.
not sensitive at all ,when she mentioned a difficult time with hef he just moved on to the next question
My Husband walked into the kitchen where I was cooking, while watching this episode.
He said, “Is that Holly?!” His tone and his energy was as if he had just seen an old irl friend.
It made me think…Many of us love Holly and view her in a way that’s like a long time friend. She’s so down to earth and real, she’s relatable to those of us who’ve watched her over the years.
I find it so incredible how she’s navigated her way out of environments that we’re not good for her and how she’s moved on so gracefully.
Holly, you’re truly and honestly the definition of an Icon for all the best reasons. Much MUCH love to you!
Icon? Bottom line she was ‘prostituting’ herself to an ugly old man 🙈😂
Yes, we love her!! ❤
😂 that’s so cute.
She’s a class act. I wouldn’t have been able to do it 😅
So true. Holly is truly loved
Holly and Bridget's personalitys really got me into the show especially Bridget shes so cute and determined to be a good person even now! 💖☺️
BRIDGET WAS AMAZING!!!!!!
Kendra got into real estate as a single mother. She is so strong.
My favourite episode was when Bridget got her puppy Wednesday.
@@helenarichard kendra was & is the type you didn't take home to meet your parents. You just took her home.

Don't think so.
She's not sexy. She is a tom boyish girl next door type.
Hollys book "Down The Rabbit Hole" is a MUST READ by the way. PHENOMENAL book. Audio Book is available too ! One of my favs by far.
I own the audio book. It's an awesome book
I agree!
yes but she milking this for all its worth. shes been talking about playboy for the last 10 or 15 years, lol
@@janecoe9407it's her life experience and what she went through was TRAUMATIC. She's allowed to talk about it however much she wants wtf
I recommend also listening to her books via audio she is funny when she does hefs voice
Wow! I worked at Hooters at the time Holly did. I wasn't one of the cool girls but I did work with her and she was definitely cool. Happy for her success!
You just weren't sluty like her good for you girl
I worked theater in Las Vegas where Holly was doing a show that was only supposed to be for six months and ended up being there five years which was awesome I want to tell you about Holly she is one of the most beautiful, smart and friendliest person you would ever meet.
I'm someone who was a kid when Holly was famous so I've only ever heard her name vaguely so this is my first time hearing her whole story. And can I just say, WOW! She has totally earned herself a new fan with this interview. Holly is so down to earth and so straight forward. What a beautiful soul this woman has. Thank you Sloan for bringing this interview to us! So excited for the rest of this interview!
Same!
@@kerryalfaro9437 😅 yah, a bit! I just turned 23. Legal adult but still very young lol
Isn't she such a beautiful soul!!!
I was so shocked while watching the Playboy murders, when Holly appeared onscreen, I about fell over. She does a great job on it. I think it’s awesome she made something of herself, and not to only be known as one of Hefs girls
She didnt make something of herself she went ahead and married a young billionaire after Hef and then started the hate train talking bad about Hef just because she was jealous that he married some one else and not her.
it’s very interesting to me that Holly said she wasn’t very sexual at that time and didn’t grow into her sexuality until she was 30 bc I can totally relate to that..I just turned 28 and finally feel like I’m really open to it compared to when I was younger. Very fascinating.
Especially considering the trend to sexualize minors and exploit their confusion by normalizing and idolizing medical castration..
Women hit sexual peak in their 30s and men in their late teens. You'd think the dynamics would be reversed!
I met holly at her book signing some years ago in NY and let me tell you she is so GENUINELY nice and warming. It was brief but you can always tell when someone is genuine.
It's usually the really nice ones that are passive and get taken advantage of
So crazy that she says Hef made her feel ugly - I remember from watching back then and now, Holly is so beautiful, like a doll! Happy she's now able to voice what she went through - I love her and Bridget's podcast Girls next level ❤
She is gorgeous now and was gorgeous before but he “recommended” what she needed to fix and he paid for it. I mean she had so much plastic surgery that she did not even need. It still makes me sad when I think about it.
I don’t believe a word she says. She’s only after money. She’s waited until Hef died and couldn’t defend himself before she started doing all this. Absolutely disgusting!!!
She actually wasnt a beautiful woman before so the plastic surgery really helped her alot. Her eyed were popped out and nose huge as hell. She mad at him but in reality she knows he helped her.
@@evaeagle7887Exactly. Holly was definitely not beautiful before all the PLASTIC SURGERY. She was the least attractive girlfriend out of the 7 girlfriends.
Holly is a beautiful woman. Her growth as a person is admirable. Proud of her❤️
Great interview. I worked at Hooters, was a Hawaiian Tropic model and also shot covers for Playboy.
I went to the mansion for several parties and i remember the decor being out of date and the curtains and rugs being filthy. The iconic mansion wasn’t what I expected.😬
I did not have Holly’s experience but I believe her…it was a parasitic culture.
On my last shoot/event for Playboy they dumped me off at a mental institution. They did not care that in their care, I was not okay.
Playboy is heartless business that preys on young, vulnerable girls who have been told they are worth nothing so they settle for less.😖
What do you mean they dumped you off at a mental institution?! What the heck... thats horrible. Hope you're okay now
What why did they dump you off at the mental place ?? Please explain girly id love to hear your story!!
I hope you’re okay and doing well 🙏🙏✨
@@romiiivique1292 It’s kind of a long story but in a nutshell, I was working in New Orleans for a Mardi Gras feature.
I didn’t drink or do drugs but that night at dinner, I was offered some. It was a big deal to celebrate this moment as it took 3 years of shooting with them to get to this level( it was not only a shoot for the mag but a Playmate test) I was always the responsible model but in this moment of celebration, I decided to indulge.
Whatever was passed to me messed me up so bad that I didn’t know my name, where I was or what I was doing. They freaked out and just dumped me off at a hospital in New Orleans.
To be clear, Playboy only supplied alcohol at dinner, it was after dinner I was offered drugs by a stranger. This was my fault. My bad choice.
But the ‘family’ that claimed to love and care for me was gone as soon as I needed them. I was friends with the photographer, stylist and production manager and in one second, I lost my job, friends and self worth. It was devastating.
@@missbraindamage thank u. I love your name, BTW…I didn’t want to text too much but I answer this in the comment above.❤️
a lot of those ladies have made it clear they didnt find heffner attractive, those ladiues used him for clout and fame. he used them too.
Holly is so naturally beautiful & down to earth. I met this lovely woman at a Playboy mansion party & in that brief moment of introduction i could see the pain in this strikingly beautiful young woman's eyes & coming from a life of trauma myself, I gave her a huge hug & wished I could have taken her home with me when I left. Hef gave me creepy, evil vibes & major negative energy right away & I made sure to stay as far away from him as possible, both times I went to the PB Mansion to party. Dicaprio & Mark Mcgrath are major creeps as well, along with many of the eliete older men. I also lived & danced in a show in Vegas (Jubilee), though much earlier than Holly & during the early to mid 2000's when I met her at the Mansion. Been wanting to & look forward to reading both of her books, & I am so so happy to see Holly healing from her Playboy/Mansion traumas, along with being healthy, still striving, a mommy, & at peace. Wonderful interview Sloan! Holly is definitely friend material & positive energy to have/keep in your life. I hope you two stay in touch ✌️💖🤗🙏
You sound like you've lived an interesting life, you should write a book, I'd enjoy it.
Also, you have a good heart, you seem really sweet.
Yeah, you could totally tell she was sad…OKAY😂😂😂😂
How shocking that it would be such a toxic environment at a place like that surrounded by people like that........ 🤔 You'd think Stevie Wonder could see that from a mile away
Naturally?
The way Holly genuinely projects herself really speaks to me… I see parts of myself in her. Sloan, you’re doing such an amazing job!!! 🤍
Love watching you improve as an interviewer from episode to episode, you are so engaged and empathetic with Holly and as usually very well researched
You are giving someone that's been through so much and inside the mansion a voice. You are an angel Sloan and we appreciate you allowing others with important messages to have a safe place. Keep it up and never let anyone bring you down. 💗
@leannahostetler4528 right? And she's always had a voice, she's had TV shows and authored books about it
She wanted the money and fame she should not be complaining
She’s had plenty of ‘voices’. When is she gonna stop
Can’t wait for episode 2, I grew up watching these girls and they genuinely made me feel better about myself as a 10-12yr old at the time.
Everything she talks about and describes amounts to dubious consent and trafficking. Gaslighting, emotional manipulation, there's so much trauma to unpack, and she is hella strong for all she's come through.
Do you know there's millions of everyday people who go through this kind of abuse? We got narcissists running amok everywhere. She states she wanted to be his only gf. She states she only wanted to be there 2 yrs max but stayed 6. She was just as manipulative if you ask me cause she had an agenda. Her agenda didn't work.
She knew what she signed up for she’s no innocent.
@@skylark...The psych term is Stockholm Syndrome. Victims stay with the abuser because they have feelings for them: as a coping strategy. That, together with the emotional manipulation & coercive control & often isolating them from the support of family & friends & exerting financial control too, leaves women too mentally ground down & conflicted to leave.
@@sarahholland2600 I'm aware of this. These women are not complete victims. They also have agendas and are manipulators themselves. Both have a role in the relationship.
Knowing she is autistic, I am too, we are REALLY vulnerable to abuse and manipulation. Autistic women experience a higher rate of abuse because of this.
Very true good point
This! I hope she'll talk more about her diagnosis journey in part 2. I loved how she was so open about it. I'm also convinced that it played a part in her being manipulated by that awful man. It's great to see her dojng so well
We experience life-long fawning. 😢
This makes so much sense. I was honestly shocked to hear she is autistic and maybe that is my own ignorance, but I always looked up to her like she always knew how to act. I looked at her like she was one of the girls with the manual. And I was the one of the ones who didn't understand get a copy. I also was abused and manipulated by most men that were in my life and I found myself in scenarios that it seemed no one else got into. I know this may sound extremely ignorant but how do you know if you are on the spectrum? Hearing Holly describe herself makes me feel like maybe I should see a doctor? I relate to her a lot - anyone have feedback? I mean this in the most genuine way
Too true.
As a woman in Holly's age group, I can concur how cool it would be too see NAT from the Peach Pit from the REAL 90210.

Sloan, you are such a excellent interviewer. You actually listen and engage with the person and keep the conversation going naturally while asking such poignant questions. Keep up the good work! We love you!
It’s crazy how he treated her as tho she is ugly!!! She’s absolutely stunning beauty. I always loved her and thought she was goals. Specially her big doll eyes, she’s so beautiful sad to know she wasn’t treated better because she always seemed the most genuine out of all the gfs.
She’s such a victim. Cause he knew the girls were only with him for his money which is grimy. If that’s the case then she’s not a good person. For the money and fame.
So excited to see you get an interview with Holly! I have always loved her and been fascinated with her point of view and her story.. Congrats Sloan! Well done! 🙌💖🎉
Possibly my favorite interview you have ever done. She is fascinating to me. Thank you.
I loved hearing from Holly & I can’t wait to watch part 2!! Her story is so interesting and I love hearing about what was really going on behind the scenes. I’ve always liked Holly but finding out more about the real Holly makes me like her so much more. She seems so laid back, relatable, honest, intelligent, funny, down to earth & just like an overall lovely person. Tbh I don’t really like most famous people but she’s actually seems like a genuinely good human being, which is hard to come by in Hollywood (especially nowadays.)
Btw I’m so freaking proud of you Sloan!! You’ve come so far & you’ve been absolutely killing it!
Sending you my love, keep up the good work ❤
It’s so good she is speaking her truth now. That she doesn’t feel she can’t because of the abuse she endured, She’s dumping loads of years of it! Her voice is so important! Proud of you Holly ❤
I used to watch girls next door back in my early teens and have read/reread down the rabbit hole by holly… its such a great book and good look inside what she’s been through. I need to pick up Vegas diaries asap. I love holly, have always followed her especially after reading her first book. I’m happy she’s happy and thriving 💓
It's wild now that I'm older how much I relate to Holly. At first when she wrote the book and I read it I didn't understand, but now I am older and I have matured and have had time to reflect upon my younger self, I realise I was in a very similar situation myself with umdagnosed ADHD. And when she talks about the choices she made as a younger woman, I can understand, relate, and pretty much see myself having a very similar thought pattern if I were to be faced with the same lifestyle she was.
29 years later and I'm still looking for friends Hols, Make sure you give Bridgett all the kisses because she is one of those few people who you can Gel with and I'm so glad you found her ❤
Dudee I can't believe you got to talk to her! This is so cool. She was definitely my favorite back then, her energy is just so calm and lovely. This episode was very interesting I need to watch part 2 NOW 😍😍
You're a fantastic interviewer! Podcast is definitely for you. I actually enjoy it over your CZcams videos. I appreciate that you ask the hard questions but do so respectfully without tip toeing around anything at the same time. You're not fake and trying too hard with the guest. You let them set the pace which is so important in order to have a meaningful interview experience. Great job!

As someone who watched the girls next door religiously and I’ve seen all her interviews… you did SO good with this interview Sloan. I love that it feels like 2 friends talking in their kitchen and not some “lights camera action” scripted interview. I’m so looking forward to part 2 and heck, I think I’m going to get her audio book because I’ve been reading in your comments how good it is. Keep slaying Sloan! And you too Holly!

Omg everything she is saying is so relatable. I also lived in Los Angeles from 19-29 and also found myself in compromising situations that came with their own benefits and success while also being toxic (especially by todays standards). Even about her sexuality - being asexual and knowing "sex" as more of a tool or expectation in our early 20s. So true. It was all so performative until my 30s. We change so much as we grow and mature and sometimes we think it's just us. But really our childhood idols were living the same thoughts
I loved how you interviewed her and she was comfortable with you. I loved her back when the show aired and had no idea that she had a bad experience.
I love this podcast. You let people tell some amazing life stories. Also I’ve been a huge fan of holly for YEARS!

I was a kid...and i always watch it, no drama, made me happy. I remember that i return to my home after my hospitalization and i was so happy in my room watching the show
Holly has a great attitude paired with a spectacular personality. I used to watch GND and was always drawn to emulate that kind of positivity. The Hef weirdness was the toll but it skyrocketed her into fame and now she can afford therapy lol ❤❤❤
Omg I’m so happy for you! You’ve got the one and only Holly Madison to do an interview?! Yeah, you’re definitely on your way to the top! And I’m so happy to see a fellow DMV native rise and be successful 💕
Congratulations on getting Holy to do your podcast! I read her book Down the Rabbit Hole and her experiences sound traumatic. It’s good to see she appears to have gotten past that hurt and is living a great life. I can’t wait for part 2!
She seems so real n genuine. I like how open and honest she is.
What a great interview! Thanks for sharing Holly! You are a real treasure.
I was such a fan of the show “Girls Next Door” And Holly was my favorite because you could see her level of intelligence in the show. All of the girls had their own special personality and they were just so fun to watch. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed seeing interviews with the girls because it gave much more insight into what they experienced.
I'm actually re-watching all the seasons again and I'm on season 4! So this is cool to see from Holly's perspective 😊good job, Sloan!
A wonderful interview! If you're open to constructive feedback, I would suggest looking up at the camera while the guest is speaking and when you're asked g the questions. You are an amazing interviewer 😊
You have become one of my favorite podcast! I look forward to you and your guest each week.
I never got into playboy, or anything like that. But it's interesting to hear what someone who was on the inside had to say about it. Holly seems like such a nice and sweet person. I hope she does well in life! Can't wait for pt. 2!
She HAS done well in life!
I literally love the both of you !!! I’ve listened to the whole podcast up to date and it really opened up my eyes a lot to what they went through during their tv series
Absolutely amazing interview Sloan!!! I’ve always been a fan of Holly.. something about her drew me to her.. possibly the name lol I’m so glad she feels comfortable and safe enough to be so open with you! You rock! Keep shining! ❤
Sloan, love everything about you and your content! ❤It’s an absolute pleasure watching you grow your interviewing skill set over these episodes. This was such a great interview! One piece of advice: try to talk to the camera and watch it when the interviewee is talking. I know it feels super awkward, but after a bit of practice it becomes second nature. Regardless, though, you’re absolutely killing it! So very proud of you! ❤😊❤
Great video, Sloan. She was & is still my fave girl next door, besides Bridget. And her book was well written & very eventful. I will always be team Holly & so proud of her in many ways! She put up with a lot, and so glad she rose above all the B.S. from living at the mansion. 💋
This is amazing thank you both so much for making this happen. Sloan you have such connecting and communative eye contact and if you would of used it in this video it would of been the cherry on the cake. I know its nerver wracking interviewing celebs but you got this xxxx
omg this was my fave interview so far! great questions Sloan also I love you holly thanks for taking your time to share! ❤️💕 peace & love
Holly was always my favorite! She's a very interesting person to hear from on here Sloan. Thank you so much!!
DO NOT JUDGE THESE WOMEN. At the time Holly’s story is going on in the late 90s and early 00s, I was in NYC making my mark in Corporate America, so we lived very different lives. I was actually allowed to go to the hottest NY clubs as I wanted and be with who I wanted, etc; that’s called “basic human rights” which these girls didn’t really have. We tend to judge, but he really was a manipulator. My brother dated someone from the college edition while she was in the process of becoming an actual Playmate. Out of respect, as this is not my story, I will not say her name as it is a decently known one. I will be honest, I looked down at her at first. Then I listened to things she said. She came from a major city, but from a broken family and poverty. She was completely manipulated. I remember her fear when she was going to do the actual Playmate shoot, as she actually had an idea that she was going to engage in “liaisons” to keep this clean. She felt that she had to do it anyway, which is why my brother ended the relationship; she was controlled to think evil of people with real estate and corporate money and convinced that we would somehow wrong her. She was made to feel that sex was her worth and the only way for her to get out of poverty was sex, specifically for the entertainment of Heff. This was drilled into her head so much that she would not even consider what our family were saying to her (a decently prestigious NY family, so not from people who didn’t know success, celebrities, and money; we had all that). Don’t judge as he knew how to manipulate people and change their perceptions of reality in ways that those outside of his world cannot imagine. I’m sure he found all their vulnerabilities and manipulated them to be what he wanted to “create”. Notice you never hear that anyone from a successful family with close bonds and financial security were the girls he went after. It’s because he wanted to control all the women in his life and sadly he figured out how to do it and who to do it to. My heart goes out to everyone he harmed.
She is so interesting, eloquent, and has a great energy❤ amazing interview, Sloan!
I was a freshman in college when "Girls Next Door" came out. This is amazing you got to interview Holly. She doesn't do many interviews.
Not me thinking this is just SLOAN covering Holly’s story. Only to give the video a chance and learn it’s an interview!! I am so proud, happy, and impressed!
Great interview Sloan! Holly- tysm for sharing so authentically. You are one strong woman. 💐🩵
Congrats Sloan! This is a great interview. Mad respect for Holly in speaking out about Hefner.
Holly is so honest and straight talking,my kind of gal. Great interview, thank you both.⭐️⭐️
Great episode I love holly & the girls and really loved the show when it came out. Women in my age range, many of us were fascinated by the thought of being one of the playboy bunnies, not necessarily hef’s girlfriend but the glamorous & exciting lifestyle. Like she said things were different people weren’t so exposed. Many secrets stayed that way and the air of mystery can be charming. Can’t wait for part 2. And it’s great to see Holly healing and able to move forward. ❤️🙏🏼
Sloan, you have such a good conversational flow. 👏🏻
The interview we needed 👏🏼 I grew up with the girls next door and now I listen to the girls next level podcast 👌🏼
