I always hoped Brett Gelman was truly as weird, nerdy, smart in real life as Murray is in Stranger Things; I am soooo happy he didn't disappoint. 😄❤️ I adore this guy.

He is the little bit of luck guy from ny lottery. So now you can like him even more knowing that his head is proportionally wayyy too big for his body and every role other than the lottery commercials is him doing a hell of a job acting like his head isn't wayy too big. Between his "Fleabag" character being so pathetic and awful, and his "Stranger Things" character being so fun and likable (not to mention badass), I'm enjoying his versatility as an actor.
Emerging as a character in Twin Peaks “the return” is something that really stands out as a holy sh!t moment in his career(in my book at least)
Well it's not and that wasn't correct engine/prop sound for an Antonov An-2 at all!

I liked Murray's character from day one, and was so stoked to see the character blossom! How great that the writers saw that potential and ran with it.
Can we please talk about the entrance and the suit and the shirt? I didn´t think it was possible to like him more, but here I am.
The cool thing is, it's a callback/inside joke between him and Stephen. Have a look on youtube and there's a recent interview Brett did of Stephen in the Ed Sullivan Theater and Stephen talked about hom 'Movie Star' entrances are completely different to other guest's entrances and then Stephen did an impression of the standard Movie Star Entrance for his show. Brett just did the same thing then .

Murray turned out to be a great character, though nothing tops his appearance in Season 2 when he says "So Jonathan, how was the pull out?"

Murray is far and away my favorite character on Stranger Things, and I'm so pleased that the writers have given him more scenes and broadened the role beyond that of the "crazy conspiracy theorist." Thank you to The Late Show for having Brett Gelman on. 👍😎🤙

He used to have a blog way back in 2009 and he wrote the weirdest poetry. One of the poems, “The Road is my Home,” made me laugh until I cried. Wish I had a copy of it still.

I am Russian native can I say - his Russian language in ST was AMAZING. Proper pronunciation, cute accent. He totally nailed it, bravo!!! Not an easy language at all to master
I began to like Murray after seeing his relationship with Alexei. He came off at first as xenophobic and paranoid, but it was nice to see that role as a translator used as the basis for an unexpected friendship.
"I was a very weird child." Well, I'm glad he outgrew it.
He's everything I expected. He's more because the scatting was definitely a surprise.
He’s amazing on the show and hilarious in anything he’s in. He had such a brief appearance on The Other Guys but he was hilarious there as well.

Stellar entrance and to top all of it this puppy suit ensemble, I mean, the fact he's more extra than Murray is just winning at life.
When I saw Brett appear for the first time in season 2, I was sooo hyped. I recognized him from previous comedy stuff he'd been on years ago, and every time Murray's on-screen, he totally steals the show. Amazing addition, and love to see he became more important as the show progressed.
"We have to balance out the look with relatability." 😂 When I see Brett Gelman's name in the credits, I look forward to seeing him. Even his Peloton ads were hilarious.

Murray has always been so much fun to watch, even back in Season 2. He’s one of the main reasons I enjoyed the Russia storyline so much. Everything out of his mouth is pure gold, and he’s a total badass too!
"How was the pullout?" is probably the funniest line in all of Stranger Things!
He walked away from his own Adult Swim show because the network was platforming neo-nazis - Even when AS pulled the plug he stuck to his guns. He made a sacrifice for what he believes in. HUGE respect to Brett Gelman for that.

Murray gets better with every season. I love how the Duffer brothers allow the actors to be more and more themselves with every season, which makes them more "real" adhd likable. At least that's how it seems with Murray, Steve, and Robin. Such a great show!

@@alumpyhorse he was in twin peaks: the return. The return takes place 25 years after the end of the original show. At the end of the original show doppelgänger Laura Tells agent coop “I’ll see you in 25 years” and when coop emerges from the lodge… he goes back to his room at the great northern. You see him in the bathroom and then he smashes his face into the mirror. Coops body came out of the lodge but it definetly ain’t coop in there

In 2018 The Return started airing on showtime. Gelman was a character in 2 of the 18 episodes. And the episodes and show are alll the F over the place. SO if you’re gonna watch the return you absolutely need to rewatch both seasons of Twin peaks as well as fire walk with me before starting the return. And it is so with it.
