I’m so inspired by how mature LeBron is at such young age. Makes me wish I could’ve had that same foresight when I was younger. But I can’t change the past, so I’m making efforts to work hard for my future right now.
For many folks, sports actually help mature IF you have a decent coach. People think it's all about dribbling a ball or passing, but in reality a coaches job is to teach you how to be a man and hold you accountable. They teach discipline, working together, persistence, planning, and being smart about how you approach life in general. When you mess up there are punishments for you and often even the whole team. If you get in trouble you jeopardize the whole team. It's different when folks are looking up to you and you get extra father figures in your life. Don't beat yourself up. You were young. I thank God for sports, because that's what kept me on track of the field and on it. Gives you that maturity from being held accountable and having so many folks your age look up to you and you making a mistake could mean them doing the same trying to be like youm
