  • Today we take a trip south and west of Sundre Alberta where we find a beautiful spot on the Red Deer River. It is one of my favourite places to go and I am sure you will see why in the video.
I have changed editing platforms so that I can incorporate drone footage and footage from the GoPro so please bare with me, it’s a bit of a learning curve to say the least.

Yo,dude .. lower rod tip, leave fly in water longer, fish are slow and in cold water.. Use buck tail streamer..

Lived there for 12 years or so. Nice place to go fishing but I wouldn’t live there again. Lots of small lakes and rivers in that area. Good brown trout fishing.

I find it curious that there would be any fish in there at all? Shallow and barren

Can you please tell me where this is, exactly? Thanks!

Got chased out of that exact spot by a black bear. Came across from the other side. And wasn’t scared of twenty people.

  • @matdowdall

That rough area is where a majority of Grizzly attacks have happened in the last 10 years roughly

It’s nine minutes before your line hits the water. You won’t catch many fish until you learn to mend that line.

I agree one hundred percent stop watching tv and get out in nature!!

  • @mathewjaycox843

I understand giving some commentary, but when the majority of the video mis that and no actual fishing, you lost me. I clicked on the video to see fishing as I have fished this area myself.

You need something shiny. Spinners work best. And yellow is the colour.
