    Although Singapore is only a small island but their financial and economy system is transparent and strong. Singaporeans are knowledgeable, polite and hardworking. Singapore has good education system laid down by the British. Singapore is the cleanest city with lots of greens 👍👍👍👍👍 Singapore was part of Malaya but was separated from Malaya on 9/8/1965. After 57 years of independence we can see the vast difference between Singapore 🇸🇬 and Malaysia 🇲🇾 who is still struggling with political turbulence, corruptions, racism, religion and economic crisis. Malaysia failed due to the Malay pride and lack of respect for the good systems laid down by the British which was completely destroyed by their former PM Dr Mahathir and now the people and the country are paying huge price for the mistakes of one man Dr Mahathir.

      This was probably done due to timing issues; if there were fewer elements in the parade, a march past in slow and quick time would be possible.

    • @typicaldrum
      @typicaldrum Před 2 lety +3

      @@jn316rc actually the timing is about the same, because as of 2014, there's still slow march for GOH, whereas for 2016, the slow march was dropped. In 2018, the Flag Party and Parade SM was included in the Parade, whereas the arms was changed from M16 for GOH/GC and MP5 for SOC and PCG from 2016 and before to FN SCAR L for GOH, SOC, GC and M4 for PCG w.e.f 2018

    • @jn316rc
      @jn316rc Před 2 lety +1

      Fair enough. Thanks for your insights!
      (Coincidentally, around the same time - not that such parades weren't around in the 2000s - the Singapore Armed Forces had perfected their practice of holding ORD parades in No. 1 uniform, all of which culminated in the NSFs slow marching out of the parade square to Auld Lang Syne. Else, there weren't many other opportunities for the average NSF to do the slow march to begin with.)
