Quick check from the Challenge website revealed the Singapore team didn’t perform well. It was ranked 62 out of 73 in the competition. The senior leaders should do some explanation why its best officers’ abilities weren’t even able to match their counterparts. Unfortunately, the Singapore uniform groups in recent years had been spending too much public funds on so-called transformation initiatives and buying fancy gadgets in the hope to showcase quick results and tick off KPI deliverables. It is time to give more focus on the individual core skills and on the specialist competencies.

@fame5367 as someone who's served within the force as well as ministries for many years, what the OP said was true. And its not just SPF but rather its how many of our public services operate. Its kinda sad honestly. It's all about changing for the sake of change, rather than for the betterment of the Singapore society as a whole. And i feel that so many Singaporeans working in the govt sector has this mindset ingrained into them, its very hard for certain individuals who actually care about their work to better the lives of singaporeans to actually make any real substantial changes.

Same with the National Sports, lacked of realistic high intensity training. Shooting was terrible from an elite group.
They must have sent the rookie officers to participate in this, STAR never shows it's face to the public. All the experienced operators who could have done better were probably on duty instead
