Are people involved (colleague, supervisor, department head, minister, etc) going to be punished? I have friends who were from the SPF with similar claims of abuse. Many highly derogatory remarks used to insult the minorities are "Malay pig" and "untouchable". I believe they were used as insult to the Malay and Indian race respectively. There are also allegations of bias when considering for promotion and workplace abuse. If the allegations are true, how can Singaporeans, especially the minorities, feel safe in police presence? How can they be sure the SPF officer is fair when dealing with police call and without prejudice. Can the SPF publish statistics of arrest base on race and how many of the arrests were made by officer from the other race? If there is a correlation between officer from one race arresting people from the other races, then the allegations might have substance. There must be an open investigation and have new policies to protect minorities against racial discrimination and abuse. No justice, no peace.
