Local recovery and mechanics must be making a fortune in that area!
I would love to live at that house, I'd never be bored
😃👍
I’d put a sign outside my property saying: “I’m not here to help you. You were dumb enough to drive through while the road was flooded.”
Lol they were all driving too fast on entry.
Everyone knows that you need a steady bow wave, otherwise you flood your engine.
Yeah you are 1000% sucking in gallons of water into your engine unless you have a snorkel
@@esc5085 as some random guy on the internet that owns a pickup truck i can say ive been fooled as to how deep a puddle was and water made it over the cab and into the box and it ran rough for the next hour but i still drive it 3 years later and not even a check engine light.
These drivers will be in for a surprise when they learn they need a new engine, transmission, pwr steering, rear end. $$$$$
As long as you drain all fluids and flush all water out within a week everything will be fine.
I'm a mechanic and agree 100%.
You mean £.
@@aurevoirugootubee3927 Well i will admit im no professional mechanic but im talking from experience. I guess it depends on the car though.
They'll need a new engine at minimum. Considering the idiocy displayed in this video, the first thing these morons did after flooding their engine is probably try to start it.
I feel like a good bit of these could have been avoided if they just slowed down, people are going so fast water is just pouring into the engines
Just use another route, not worth the risk to save a few extra minutes
@@robertordewald8678 What are you talking about? The Soviet Union could make you do anything.
@@yawningpheonix this message was posted on the wrong site
According to Google Maps, going through Ollerton instead takes an extra 1 minute (Wellow to the A614 = 4min through the Rufford Ford, 5 min if you avoid it)
Nah takes too long time, better to just get stuck right there.
People fail to realise that by going fast they're letting their car get flooded. Pretty much all of these cars should have been fine going through that water if they were slow and didn't make such a big bow wave. Typically the air intake is inside the wheel arch at the top, and so long as the water level stays below the top of the tyre you should be right. But no, instead people just try to power through, submerge the front end in knee deep water and then get surprised when they drown the car. Go slow, 5-10km/h max and you'll be fine in shallow water.
I have a GQ Patrol with all the bells and whistles, breathers relocated to the engine bay so I can drive through 1.4m deep water all day with no issues besides damp carpet. I'd still slow right down and go through idling in 1st gear.
Yes sir!
At least start slow so you don’t make that initial wave when you crash into it
The water was fordable but at a crawl. I once took my 1976 Trans am through water up to midway over the hood. I had opened the shaker hood, It helped, but slow and steady will get you through where speed will get you stopped.
If the water level is above where the air intake is you're done if it's below you're fine. End of story. That's all that matters
@@north-shoregcs3894 maybe for a well sealed diesel but for a gas engine if you push into the water hard the resulting water pressure will push water into the electronics and kill the engine. There is never a finite rule with a car or truck when water is involved.
@@north-shoregcs3894 by the speed al of these guys were driving their bow wave flew over the hood, getting in the air intakes... especially the vans if they at least didnt make sucha huge bowwave they would have been fine
The air-intake on many cars is only about half-way up the wheel-height.
yea, it's near the wheel right? I really wonder why
I've seen jeeps with the scoop, that's the air intake right ? even those fail, why then ?
Common sense isn't so common now days
It never was.
😪😪
I watched a lot of videos about that, and the kids are having a good and fun time watching all these stupid drivers “hilarious”
I too watch them. Lol
Why are they flying through that deep water like that
I was saying the same thing,smh...
Some folks think it's fun, others don't think and the 3rd group are to dumb to breathe without instructions. You get to choose which one you are..........
They think it's only a foot or two deep - which it is, but ironically when you plow into it at an angle that makes a huge wake over the car. If they were to just steadily creep on in it wouldn't be nearly as bad
I did this once about 25 yrs ago in a Mazda B2600 mini pickup. Made it through the water, actually drove just fine for the last couple blocks to my house, pulled into the driveway and went in the house for lunch before I had to drive back to class.
That pickup sat in my driveway for another week. Wouldn't start. Finally had it hauled into Mazda. They called me back: "Yeah, did you, by chance, drive through some really deep water recently?"
"Uhhh....yes.😔
$800.
Once those lights go out it's over
Note from the Accounts Department to Design Engineers of any car types seen making it through these fords full pelt 'Please get the air intakes lower and up front as we are losing revenue from these valuable potential engine replacement sales'.
Most of those idiots would have got through had they driven slowly and kept the bow wave just in front of the car.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw this lol
I'm a Dutch guy, my solution: drive backwards trough the water. Thank me later.
it looks like nobody thanked you lol
Bruh
Thanks bro it really worked
Had to laugh when you described the Renault as "A Versa van of all things"... that was too funny :D
Same😂😂 who tf drives those
Video was fine without commentary
They should identify the drivers of these cars and send them for psychiatric observation in isolation.
00:32 jeep guy be like the snorkel dosnt huh
This is their own fault. In Tuscon, Arizona you have to pay for your own rescue if you get stuck
4:36 The road closed sign is in the middle of the water. LOL!!! I think this is a setup.
It's not a setup, it is real. The sign just floated away
This just happened to me a week ago, didn’t know the puddle was 3 ft deep- 2015 Dodge Dart, hydro locked engine, threw a rod. Car is done. FML
Top commentary!
I died when he said "OK I'm now famous on CZcams"😂😂
These are the types of people who shouldn't be allowed to own firearms.
I wonder what goes through their head as they do this... "Hm... This is a common place for cars to get stuck? Eh... Its fine im a better driver and my car can swim... Oh I got stuck? They should've warned me!"
me taking notes which vehicle operates best for the zombie apocalypse
Ha
Someone needs to cone off the road.
“Cheech & Chong still smokin’ in that car” 😂 I took 2 bong rips on that one !!!
What is not going into the transmission, just into the air intake, thus stalls the engine.
In germany we build bridges for pedestriants and also for cars at the same time. You should definately give a try 😂
Or a better schooling system ... why would anyone ever think this is a good idea? 😂
I guess some people enjoying hydrolocking their vehicles 😂😂
I love the title by Saying but not written..... driving through water by Knockle Head 🗣️. 😂👍
It's like a sporting event people gather to watch! I'm down for it!
Why isn’t anyone trying to stop them from crossing and then why aren’t they calling them idiots for trying.
AIR FILTERS need air not water. Electronic components have a chance, not a soaked filter!
YOU ARE NOT A SUBMARINE! Try it slow and give it up if you need to.
It's probably the best idea to try to start it again after it dies in these situations.
Madonna behind the wheel 🤣🤣
Stuff like this is the reason for Arizona's stupid motorist law.
So many clowns on the road!
Glad I got an electric car so I can drive through this no issue since I ain't got a air intake
Isnt there any risk of being electrocuted or is everything water tight?
Should and could. I wouldn’t do it.
Have u seen how many flooded electric cars catch on fire
@@Manuel3525m only if there's any damage to the battery casing for water to get in. Generally any EV battery is completely sealed unless you do something to damage it
I love the ones that stall after they speed through. Like theyre fine but already gone
Half the people would of made it if they went slow. All of them went fast which caused the water to go over there car hood and flooded there engine. If they went slow it would of not went that high and they would of been fine.
Mercedes cars are the worst to drive through water
it is a nightmare to drive round it though it’s adds an extra 45 minutes onto your journey depending on where you’re going
Got to go slow but steady. Hitting that amount fast is only fun for observers. At that amount of water I wouldn’t bother
The ducks..
a good sign you need to turn around

The commentaries are hilarious 😂
So Mercedes is the Worst Car ????? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I live here, not much to do around here, people drive this way for fun and the kids love it. My advice when it is this deep is to drive slowly, backwards. The airfilter won't be huffing in the water at high RPM with a bow-wave and if any gets in it will not overwhelm it.
That sounds silly but you’re definitely right about the backwards technique.
I was thinking on same lines.
I guess wise people think alike. 😊
I wish I could sit here and smoke a fat doobie while watching this
What's stopping you?
Place?
These drivers knows nothing about cars. They just fill petrol/diesel and drive...
Yep, not wanting to go around and ruining your car...these people are the ones in crashes, rather than going around they go through an actual river worth of water, like the engines can take that, even the lagest trucks get f there, also Ford is also a "Europe car"
This is why you always buy American
Edit: New Corvettes make it through deeper than this
Bro made a decision to make some money instead of waving all those people to stop. 🤣🤣🤣 Probably a better choice compared to driving through the flood waters. 😅
Love your comments! Lol
Great commentator 😅👍
Madonna behind the wheel. That was funny😂
water into the intake
What happens when you try to follow the advertisements
This was Hilarious, why go so fast. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣I'm in Oakland, CA and we had rain for 2 days now which flooded some streets. While driving down 98th I noticed water about 12 inches and ppl going thru, I tried to stop and back up but all these cars were behind me on a super busy street. I had to plunder thru in my luxury SUV now I'm not too happy now and wondering if I messed up something, smh. The other cars were just driving thru like it was a 1 inch puddle, crazy idiots🤡🤡🤡🤡
The air filter is low and it sucks up the water and gets water in motor and water does not compress and blows the motor
Hydrolocking a car you take care isn’t worth it.
People goes too fast through it and their car drowns out. Drive slower through it so water don't go over the hood and flood it
Who’s recording all of these ? Lol is it someone with a camera standing there ? Lol
I see this everyday still people don't understand
Wtf… I just started watching that channel where they drive thru the water and now u do a video on it… what are the odds.. u spying on us? Lol
My dad would make me get out and push
LOL
I believe any car can make it as long as the water doesn't reach the top of the hood.
Have you tried it or just have faith?
If you go through slow don’t create a wave you will make it every time but not if your driving a ricer
depend on water high too
@@m.wen1234 well yes
Not necessarily every time but going slow is most definitely the key...
Rip to that Benz
Lol, this is the ultimate car water test as drivers had to pay everything from their car to city's poor sewage design.
I think you should go slowly through the water I know it’s possible It’s just if you go too fast it creates a wave and that water is just gonna go all over the bonnet and the water will be everywhere and the engines are gonna be flooded and yeah
Lmao
Lol lol most people are crazy 😜 🤣
Sandra you never stalled in a puddle?
@@Jaykilla1981 no
'and stupid' LOL
Gotta go very slowly for a chance
IF he really your SON in the UK ,,, what is he doing over there what made him move there , how old is your SON
It’s complicated.
My jimny finds this easy
Because it was designed to
Do this. Vans and cars are not.
Jeeps are supreme
The commentary I could do with out
Turn down the sound LOL
If they went slower they would've been fine.
They entering too fast. I think they could pass if they just tried to make it really slow.
Without spashing water everywere, especialy up over in the engine.
kkk i tryied the best to say it in english without a translator.
Eu falo português/ I speak portuguese :)
Let's drive
Land Rovers only.
They would fair better with an electric
Bad road.
I've already seen all of these
My Toyota Sequoia Limited would've definitely made it through...
Transmissions are sealed…….please learn something about cars.
Duck
I’m pretty sure American cars can drive through no problem
All these ford's would say otherwise.
