Hi Paul with the long silence at the beginning of each item, it started to feel a bit spooky. So I had to keep checking that no one was watching me 😂 👻
That's what we call in the trade, "A massive cock up™" I like to think that I've perfected that particular skill over the years. I forgot to add the music! Doh!
I have a Sony 5 disc CD changer that is 20 + years old and it has the ability to change discs while one keeps playing. Disc exchange was actually a fairly common feature on all but the most budget models as a friend of mine has a Technics mid 90s disc changer that has the same feature.
Fascinating review Paul. I think Yamaha are taking this heritage thing a bit too far. Don't get me wrong I really like Yamaha's latest range of amplifiers and receivers but a multi-disc CD player?? Anyway I look forward to more of these types of products, maybe a DCC or DAT player or maybe even a twin cassette tape deck. Remember them? Showing my age now 😢
Always enjoy your posts and videos Paul. Great info. I was just “gifted” 3 AV/Receiver Amps. All used but in excellent condition with original boxes, packing materials, manuals, remotes, etc. Yamaha RX-V775BT Harmon/Kardon AVR 146 Yamaha RX-A4A Thoughts on each of them? Plan on using at least one of them with a Pioneer PL-514 turntable. TIA!
I have a question Paul. What is your view regarding damping provided by walls covered with 'lumpy' 80's style Artex finishes & will this act as an accoustic diffuser? Also I think a high ceiling can help accoustically but unfortunately not with your winter fuel bills!
Thank you very much Paul for another brilliant review. I think there is problem (probably minor) with the VU meter on your t-shirt. They don't move when you speak. Just saying. 🙂
That Leema preamp for 1500 pounds is a crazy value. I was sure you were going to say 3000 or more pounds. Wow. With subs and tape out plus all those digital inputs. Crazy. I paid about $800 a few years ago to have a vintage Carver C1 preamp refurbished/upgraded. For a little more than double that, I could have had the Leema!

That Yamaha looks like its going to be my next cd player. Another great video as always.

Yeah I had a Phillips one that did the same.
A brilliant news update, Paul, thank you. Those new Leemas look wonderful, thanks for sharing their story.
My old AIWA NSX 540? was a 3cd changer and was able to play one CD whilst changing any non played discs- fantastic memories - Great Upload.
My old Sony 5 disc CD player would let me switch out CD's while one was playing. Cool tech.

Anyone know a good online source of canvas art? Thanks.

The Leena Website doesn’t even feature the new range.
Neither does Yamaha's website have the new CDC-603. They need to get with it.
He played for Celtic
You're joking. Really?
Thought it was his Dad?
I am surprised to see Yamaha make a new CD player. Their older models were very good.
