I’m really not surprised at that price because yes they are 1 of 1’s but many were just shields and laundry tags that were player worn rather than game worn. Plus they are literally 1 of 25’s at least in most products because of all of the parallels. The price was low because there are tons of one of ones out there and it really dampens demand. Also not a lot of the cards were autographed which kills the price. And lastly football in general does not do close to same comps when it comes to comparable players. Ja Morant cards from 2019 do a better than Kyler’s 2019 cards.

For me, i invested in 2019/20/21 rookies this year, so that in itself could be my biggest mistake but i feel there was a abundance of talent in these 3 years and many of these have superstar potential so i'm playing the long game on these 3 rookie classes 😁 Wait i just looked at my cards and i see a lot of D.J Wilson cards, Autos, patches etc... i remember getting them for next to nothing but last time i checked a few months ago he was down in the G League..... I wish I never watched this video. Those Murray's were mine. I only sold them at the time with Goldin because my wife and I were having our son and she was going to be at home with our son for 3 months after he was born. So my full time job income was the only income we would have for months. Thus why I sold them. Golding told me they were worth between 15k to 20k so I agreed to sell. Little did I know they would bury my lot in the back of the catalog for that auction and screw me over by never promoting my lot outside of putting it in the catalog. They should have sold for at least 3 times what I got for them. My son, my family, my other kids are always more important than cards. But I'm still heartbroken over having to sell them and for how little I got for them. Murray is my favorite player on my favorite team. :(

Him trying to justify the trade even after he admits to it being a bad trade is ridiculous. Then he piles on with the “I know a huge MJ collector and he agrees with me”. Zero percent chance any real serious MJ collector would say his cards produced after his playing days aren’t as sought after. 2003-04 MJ exquisite cards are no brainers for collectors not to mention every other year through 2009-10. On top of that 2003-04 is LeBron, Wade, and Melo’s rookie year so that also adds to the value and collectibility of MJ’s within this particular set. Many other sets Upper Deck made throughout the subsequent years have extremely desirable and collectable MJs as well.

That Josh Allen Colossal Laundry tag. Good chance everyone’s favorite breaker Boomo99 originally pulled it. I know this because he was doing breaks of 3 or 4 cases at a time and I had Allen in the prior break and “only” hit an Allen colossal /25. The very next break he pulled not one, but TWO of the Allen Colossal RPAs /5. Considering there’s only 5 of them, there’s a good chance yours is one of two that was pulled by the legend himself in a span of about 10 mins. Go bills

Who in their right mind trades a pop 1 auto of Jordan for a hated superstar with no ring.

Even if you're not in it for money like me, you are still going to be aware of market fundamentals to save money for even more cards. An experienced collector is never making these types of mistakes.

For people in the era of Jordan and before, the statement about cards issued after retirement being worth less seems strange to me. There may be analytics that prove that, but I have never worried about paying a premium price for a card just because it was a post retirement card, especially of a star from the 1990s or before, when autographs were certainly not as plentiful and many of those older sets do not hold up to time.

While I am not in the same league as many collectors and cannot spend $100,000 + on a single card, I had a purchase (or more precisely many purchases) this year that went bad.
I have been a Raiders fan since the late 60s. So the beginning of this year things were looking up with a couple recent draft picks. One of t hose was Henry Riggs. I started buying a lot of his cards, trying to get all the parallels of some and all graded PSA 10. Needless to say this was by far my worse pick-up. Granted no single card matches any of yours, but i did buy a lot. And to rub salt in the wound, some of the auctions I bid on and won closed after his wreck and subsequent release. Can't really do anything with those cards.
