Finished in 2 hrs, headlights look great, managed to stretch 1 packet over two cars (identical 2003 Ford Falcons) 4 headlights.
Yeah, they give you plenty.
Great video, clear precise, and no ramblings. Purchased Cerakote western australia $46, shall start cleaning in 10 minutes, Will use this to confirm the routine.
Excellent.
Can you see kangaroos better now? ;-) I'm in Arizona: we have deer sometimes, and coyotes. Deer and javelinas, a wild pig type, are the main concern on the road.
Yep!, although really, not met a Kangaroo as yet, they are there, I see dead ones often, but a family of Emus yesterday, on road verge, Cerakote holding up well (happy as larry)

Used this on my Subaru and wow what a difference. Good product!
Looks great. I just got mine in and am anxious to try it.
I did mines today looks great
Used this over the weekend. They turned out great. Just have to wait to see the longevity of it.
Mine is holding up great so far.
Nice work! I'm going to give it a try.👍
You won’t be sorry
Looks like there was much improvement after just the first step. Little leary about using sandpaper on the headlight itself. What will happen just going from step 1 to step 3? I may be happy with that. On my 2005 Honda Pilot, bumper has the be removed to change headlight. With so many failing headlights these days, you would think there would have been an easier way from the manufacturers. I had other headlight replaced after hitting a deer about 10 years ago and the replacement has never dulled. Thank you for this, always see the ad for this on TV.
It worked better than expected and it’s lasted a while now.
One side came out perfect but the other side is still a little cloudy. Can I buy another box and do that headlight again?
I bought the kit for safety. I feel It is better with a clear lens to see the road and for others to see me. My 2007 car needs it now in 2024, I believe. I'm half way through with the sanding and will wrap it up later today after I towel dry it very well then let the Arizona sun blast it for a few hours.
I used that a few years ago. It did a great job, but only lasted about 6 months and it wore off and was cloudy again.
Six months ain’t bad
Did u put the clearcot on
Try meguiars medium blue kit. Layer up acrylic sealants once your done curing their initial clearcoat. Youre done for the life of the car just using acrylic all-in-on lightly to clean and then sealant. It wont fade. It wont rub off. Each layer is good for an additional 6 months to a year. Those sealants are heat resistant. They are elastic and act pretty much like a ceramic coat just less thick.
great job my man.!! its look amazing after this kit !
im wonder if i use this product for for my car headlight then cover it with PPF i will not back to cloudy again?
Thank you, it actually worked better than expected.
Hello! I subscribed and liked your video. Nice job. Cheers!
Thank you
Apart from soap and water first, can I use a metal polish before starting stage one?
I’m not sure. You may want to email them
I have a question. What if you do it just say in January and it starts getting cloudy again in May. Do you order the kit and do it again? Can you do it over and over on your car headlights? Can you do it three times a year on your headlights, will it damage the headlights sanding them down?? 0:09
Sounds like some good questions for the manufacturer.
I used this and it says it lasts for the entire rest of the ownership of the car...
What if i have a coating that has drastically peeled away, can i sand off the remaining and then use this?
Very fine sandpaper
Good review. Shame this will be hard to find in the U.K. Regardless, having read the previous comment, that this last up to six months, if you can get hold of Meguiars Headlight clear coat (I can’t remember the exact name), which comes in an aerosol can, that coating lasts up to 12 months.
Since you’ve done the work of taking off the broken down factory coat, which was the yellowing, this should save you having to keep doing the process on a regular basis. So just applying/re-applying the clear coat against UV rays should be good to go. 😊
Or Turtlewax headlight cleaner&sealant is another good product to use every year or so. 😊
It works surprisingly well
I did it yesterday, on my 2005 Sequoia, and it looks amazing. I hope it lasts at least a year I can live with that.
Mine looks the same 3 months later.
@SargeC4Reviews thanks. It looks like brand new. I'm glad they last at least 3 months.
@@mikek4443Could be a new, annual diy maintenance task for all of us. I hope it lasts longer though.
How are you finding it longevity wise? Have they started to go cloudy again?
It’s still looks great.
@@SargeC4ReviewsThat is good to hear! Great video and the results for your car look awesome.
Can you do this in freezing temperatures?
Put it in a garage to warm up.
That's good Thank You, you may want to ceramic coat your car, the finished looked pretty bad with the water laying on it. I ceramic coated my Toyota and Wow did it ever look better, and repels water like you wouldn't believe, totally easy too!
I haven’t washed it in a few years, but the next videos are gonna be clay barring it (obviously after a thorough bath) and ceramic coating it. If anything is gonna show a good before and after, it’s my RAV4. 🤜

But does the wipe leave streaks? I've found that many of the protectant wipes leave streaks
This one did not.
This is self leveling ceramic coating.
@@philadams8659it definitely leaves streaks just smooth ones you cannot notice. Nothing beats a good fine mist clearcoat with good wet layering. I tried meguiars medium headlight kit and I probably never will again since I can now layer up acrylic sealants on top of the 1 year acrylic clearcoat. 🙃 They also look 100% new. Only a 3m sanding and uv clearcoat lacquer does that. I was impressed. They also used self leveling but the right way. Melting the plastic that has fine grit hazing. In a 2 step!
Im guessing cerakote did the same mix but with their ceramic mixed in. I used their trim ceramic and with proper prep + extremely attentive spreading of the wipes. It didnt just bring a 10 yrs old trim back to life it also made it look freshly dressed and cared for. I mean as a detailer thats just gorgeous. It makes the black trim glitter metallic charcoal under the sun. That hard shell coating is no joke. It made extremely gritty and hazed trims look brand new slick. Touch it once before it dries and its there forever tho 😂
You must blind everyone on the road with LED bulbs in a housing without projectors. Even on video it looks like it scatters light everywhere.
Good video though, I ordered the kit.
They’re pretty well focused, even if it doesn’t pick that up on camera.
Please! We need a great entrepreneur start up to make GLASS REPLACEMENT Retrofit complete headlight lenses for most vehicles ASAP. If DOT gives you grief (and they will) just say glass is more environmentally friendly than PLASTIC housings. Then, you'll get the ""Green"" light to get DOT certs. If not, make 'em anyway. You will be a millionaire in NO TIME.
👍
You can’t use glass headlights
By law they have to be plastic
It’s for safety reasons
@@anguslean4058 That’s not true. My 1985 Jeep CJ7 has glass headlights. I drive it daily. If you want glass headlights buy an older vehicle.
@@nathanieladams7624 hellooooooooooo it’s an 87
No new cars have glass headlights
They are outlawed.
Wow. With those less I think you should leave the headlights faded
🫶🏻
After 6 months it goes back to original yellow blemishes
The ones that dont come with a sealer will go cloudy again (3M). This one should be much better
Apparently you’re supposed to wash the headlights with soap and water first.
True
I just wanted to ask that, and whether soap and water can also be used during the sanding stage ...
Tied them . Definitely didn't work . Overrated and very overpriced
They are often on sale. I got mine for $11 bucks. Thats a steal.
Really? You may be doing it wrong because mine worked and has lasted.
you did it wrong I did this one my Tahoe and Corolla it came out great
Best on the corolla i got suggestion clean it between each wipe use on the first step.. i did this it came out better on the corolla..
Tried them as well. Definitely worked. Very underrated than the 3m ones. My headlights look brand new now.
Used it today. Worked great!
