HEATED: 'Don't be RIDICULOUS!' London CENTRE of dirty money as nearly 40% laundered in capital

  • 'This government has tried to put in much tougher legislation over this area.'
Conservative Peer, Jacqueline Foster, and Co-founder of Novara Media, Aaron Bastani, react as nearly 40 per cent of dirty money is going through the City of London and other crown dependencies.
This comes as the UK’s deputy foreign secretary said the Foreign Office will make new demands on the crown dependencies and foreign territories to conform with UK rules that establish public records of beneficial share ownership.

Now go to Novara and see it's lack of right leaning guests for balance! So at the moment GB news is less bias than Novara, so what's better a echo chamber or different views from both spectrums?

Any company based in the UK should pay Tax here

    • @PeteH0121
      @PeteH0121 Před 13 dny

Yes, any company which OPERATES in the UK should pay tax here but they use loopholes to ensure that "technically" they don't make a profit in the UK and that's how they get away without paying tax.
I suggest that somebody comes up with a scheme which looks at dividends and bonuses paid to those on the board and upper echelons (regardless of WHERE they the payments are made) and calculates their tax rates accordingly.
Ideally, this needs to be sorted between nations so there is nowhere to hide but since most politicians are millionaires themselves, they have no interest in closing all the loopholes.
They'll TALK about doing it but never ACTUALLY do it.

These are things that men and women of every country need to be examining in regards to its own practices and who exactly these practices benefit. Because, if they are not directly for the benefit and prosperity of its own Citizens as in First And Foremost then they are bad practices.

When the state stops being so currupt and inefficient the taxes would be at a rate that is affordable to everyone.
We need to get back to a low tax, low red tape economy and a small state is part of that, things won't get better until the bloated state is sorted out!

I don't get why ours in the UK is 25%, companies will go where they get the best deals on taxes (12.5% Ireland ,Switzerland starts at 11.9% to 21%). If you want people working and companies to employ staff here then make the UK the best place to setup your company. This will give the economy the push it needs and start the turn around this country needs.......

The main problem with the British Tax System, is that it is designed as overly complicated, so that those that know how to can avoid paying. I know a lot of people who set up limited companies to work as contractors in the rail sector just so that they can minimise their tax liability. The rich have trusts and offshore companies so that they can avoid tax.
A simple tax system would be that everybody, inluding companies would pay a flat rate 10% of ALL of their UK based earnings, NOT of their profit, but their entire income. So if you earn £1000, you pay £100, or if you earn £1,000,000, you pay £100,000, with no allowances or expenses write offs.
Do away with Non-Dom status, and dual or multi nationalality status. Do away with getting British Citizenship, unless you give up your foreign passport/ nationality. That would close the loopholes.

What the lunatic is saying about dividend tax is WRONG, Dividends are taxed at 20% however when you then go to pay yourself the remaining 80% of your profit you then have to pay another 7%, so I most small businesses there are normally 2 director husband and wife, So in a year you may make, Example £1000 profit, the taxman take 20% leaving £800 then you split the divvies two directors and you both pay another 7% each so on the money there has been 34% applied

All big business will leave the UK if capital gains is taxed at the same rate as wages and entrepreneurs will think twice about starting a business!! They employ people,so it has to be a balance!! Business owners take risks, millions of businesses go bankrupt they don't all make money!! But people will not take risks if it's not worth their while!! The gentleman is wrong and not looking at the big picture!!
