Faceting oregon sunstone.

Im cutting a piece of sunstone in this video. The design i will use is the oval brilliant 45. I use an ultratec faceting machine.

Beautiful work, Brent. Be careful though... It's easy to get "hooked" on cutting Sunstone. I spent a whole summer last year cutting the stuff and my Topaz was getting jealous. LOL Thank you for an excellent video my friend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have a doubt on Sunstones..I have come across Sunstones wherein they look totally different than what you are showing here. I have seen stones where they have shiny dots or spots on them. The jewellers or the online people sell it saying it's a Sunstone. Is it true?

Yes there are different color shades of sunstone (feldspar). The red shades seem to be the most valuable, the greens might follow. The spots you might be talking about is the copper bearing ones giving whats called a schiller effect where these copper inclusions reflect and give the stone a gold look.
