My dentist did not use any attachments on my teeth he just put simple aligners i also have diastema and open bite.

If your dentist decided to treat without attachments, he/she must have a good reason. Every case is different. Let us know how it turns out for you!

For cases like this, clincheck usually generates optimized attachements that are very different from the vertical rectangular beveled attachments you placed. Do you always replace then with your own attachment design? Are these better than the optimized attachments?

Very good observation :) As we explain in our Attachments 101 course bit.ly/attach101 and our Basic Tooth Movement Mechanics bit.ly/toothmechanics, everything is about the surface where the force is applied. So if we see that a vertical attachment will give us a bigger surface where we need a force applied, we will prefer to use that type of attachment instead of an optimized one.

How did you open the deep bite? Extrusion of posteriors or relative intrusion of anteriors?
Any IPR done on the lower arch? Or any expansion of the lower arch?

    • @theCLEARinstitute
      @theCLEARinstitute  Před 2 lety

Good question. In that case there was no posterior movement. We used relative intrusion of the anterior.

Hello Sir, I'm having a similar gap as shown in the thumbnail and other little irregular shape in my lower tooth, 2 days ago I did my Invisalign scanned,
I can see that simulation video, After 7-8 trays of Aligners, a Small Traingle will be formed, I will be needing 0.2mm IPR for both sides of my toots without touching my enamels..
I am worried about IPR sir, does it cause any side effects in the future???
Also sir, After some years will it regain its original position???
My Orthodontics say that, my case is very normal, very very little gaps are there, you also no need to wear retainers as well..
    Please guide me sir,
Thanks and Love from India ❤️

Thank you for your comments. We do not (and we can’t!) provide diagnostic services online. We have a private consultation service for dentists who need help on planning their cases and provide clear aligner education for dentist and team members. You can find all the details here: www.theclearinstitute.com
It is important to have a good relation with your orthodontist and/or dentist and that you can express your concerns. When in doubt, it is always possible to go get a second opinion.
      Good luck with your treatment!

  • @priscillacatalina1065

My orthodontist completely messed my smile up and gave me an overbite crooked front teeth. I only wanted my gap closed now I’m sad

We are sorry to hear that. You should have a good conversation with your orthodontist and tell him/her how you feel. Communication is the best solution.
