- Last weekend I installed a snorkel in my GWM Cannon ute / P-series / Poer / Pao.
Super scary drilling massive holes in my my truck 😆
Huge Thanks to Northland Autos ( www.northlandautos.co.nz ) for selling me the snorkel (and the wheel flares)
I've also fitted Maxxis 275/64/R18 AT-811 Razr tyres that I bought from www.capitaltyres.co.nz and keppler.co.nz sorted me for daily road tyres (extra rims etc) so I can easily swap rubber if I want.
Ready for some overlanding this summer 🤩

It's the same one .. but mine came from China via a local GWM dealer
I was thinking about the drilling into your pillar wouldn't that weaken the structural integrity but that's the same in Australia mate.. I guess if she rolls you want them to be as strong as possible 😊
I have eventually drilled the a pillar, but only the outer skin, which makes it legal
The top of the snorkel looks like you may be able to put a foam pre filter in it, what do you reckon mate?
Yep plenty of room to do that if you wanted
Mate , didn’t you record the work under the bonnet , connecting up the snorkel to the engine ? Or is that going to be a seperate video ?
Oh .. I didn't actually ... but it's super easy and straight forward.
One elbow, and a flexi hose, both provided with the snorkel

Is the head interchangeable? Not a huge fan of that box siting on top of it.
You could fairly easily attach something else with a large hose clamp?

So now the wadding depth is no longer 500m what is the max depth with your snorkel?
The weak point is now the alternator.. which is about 700mm above ground
