As a Bangladeshi, 🇧🇩 I'm really excited to see this documentary. 🎬 The Bangladesh Bank heist was a failure of security on multiple levels. 🚨 The bank's IT systems were clearly not up to par, 💻 and the bank's management did not take the threat of cybercrime seriously enough. ⚠ The fact that the bank tried to cover up the heist at first only made things worse. 🤦 The Bangladesh Bank heist and the recent hacking of the NID card system are just two examples of the many cyber attacks that Bangladesh has suffered in recent years. 😱 When government officials are corrupt, they are more likely to overlook security risks and to pocket money that should be spent on improving cybersecurity. 💰 I hope that this documentary will help to raise awareness of this issue and to put pressure on the authority to take action. ✊
Biman Bangladesh Airlines also suffered cyber attack recently this year. Honestly speaking, you will never know how hacker will apply their tricks. It can happen to any giant company in the world too.
Cyber attack in bangladesh should be defined differently. Rather it should be defined cyber sabotize attack Because we have seen almost in every cyber attack happened here, both attacker who are gainee and the security authority themselves who are also gainee from those cyber attack. Most people in Bangladesh believe that members of political party and few senior officials from Bangladesh Bank are involved in this Heist. They didn't disclose it to the public till 3 months after the money gone. Even no mentionable actions taken to bring the money back. One Philippine's jugde was astonished due to lack of effort from Bangladesh's side during the trial in Philippine's court. I hope the documentary will cover some of those areas besides cyber criminals.
Those dumb awami don't have brain to do that it is a serious lack of professionalism, unfit employees, lack of education, mostly recruited paying bribe to govt official to get job....what else you can expect

Where do you find most people think political and government officials are involved in this heist? Why impose your own ideas on others? Did the documentary say that even one money of this hacking has gone into the pockets of any bank official or any political leader in Bangladesh?
@@Md.ArifIslam-gz6ss According to the BBC report, Dr. Atiur Rakesh Asthana and his company, World Informatics, continued to try to recover this money.
Asthana says the governor was thinking that he can bring back the stolen money. As a result, he kept the hacking incident a secret. Not only to the people but also to his own government. But later failed and told everyone, what is his crime here? Did he steal the money? As a top official, what else could he do except resign?
Hope this documentary covers the shady parts from our policymakers and authority during and after this incident.
This was big news here in the philippines when it happened. There was even a senate investigation. Mainland triad members were involved. Some usual suspects were presented, names that were formerly involved in other crimes like meth drugs labs, drugs distribution, kidnappings etc. It was also suspected that owners if not top officers of a major local banks knew this was going to happened and allowed it to happened in exchange for a cut perhaps. In the end a lowly branch manager of the said bank was charged in court and is now in jail for 12 yrs. But those mainland chinese connection got away scot free. And also bcoz of this incident, new law was enacted that would make money laundering using cainos now much harder. All in all, out of the billion dollar that the north korean hacker group , lazarus tried to steal, they were only able to steal $120m. But only $84m went to north korea, the rest disappeared, probably split between those mainland chinese middlemen, and some local people
*In the history of the economy of Bangladesh, this dollar heist has damaged the economy of Bangladesh the most. As a result, there is still a shortage of foreign exchange reserves in Bangladesh. If not for this theft, maybe Bangladesh would not have taken a loan from the IMF.*

This is huge shame for Bangladesh for our weakness and insecurity in banking system.
In Bangladesh Bank, security system was very low. Employees were not smart enough to understand that. I had no idea how US Reserve Bank deals with Bangladesh Bank, when incident happened, I understood it was better choice for Hackers. Unprofessional Bangladesh Bank’s employees made it possible to give away our people’s money. If it was 5-10 Billions, I would not be surprised. In Bangladesh, everywhere, organizations don’t understand Cyber Security. Employees are not smart enough.
Even when US Bank advised Bangladesh Bank to turn off the Swift, even after that poor Governor didn’t follow the instructions.
There is a rumor that our politicians are involved to this.

As a bangladeshi i fell unsecured, what a security in our banking system & what do actions our leader😢.
This is the highest time for Bangladesh for a proper action. I know this is one of the biggest hack, but what did we learn from this? What we see, Bangladesh only talking about SOC(security operation center). A SOC is not very helpful if you keep a door open. Every public and private company need to find these open door first. But yeah, there are some other issue too, most company's internal team think they are the best, or they feel proud to pay a foreign company just to scan IP or as compliance requirement.
Open your eyes, and take proper steps to protect you from future cyber attacks.

Im really glad that finally we got covered into the biggest fan following studios in Hollywood. though, only seen the cringy unworthy drama the FAST francise so far from the studios. Hopefully, this will follow the true information what went wrong into the heist that happend.
