Let me know what you think.

Scary situation and I hope he has no long term issues from it.
I was 10 and my cousin was 13 when she was hit by a car, I remember the doctors telling all my aunts and mom the best way to us kids about her injuries and passing.
Her brain is like a volcano and the impact shook it so hard its erupting into her spine and it was best if we saved others with her healthy organs (She saved 6-7 life's ❤) so she could go be with grandpa and protect/play with us from the clouds.
At 34 that still sticks with me. Our Brains our so fragile and precious..yet so amazing how it functions and can heal

Such a scary situation! We lived through a very similar situation with my brother following a head injury while playing high school hockey. He was checked in the ER, though no CT was done. This was back in the day when they were very new, and not utilized like they are now. He was given the all clear, and sent home with the usual instructions (wake every couple hours, assess mental status, etc. He has no memory of this. He also has no memory of the fact that, following his usual routine after a practice, he went down the basement to his workout room and lifted weights, including bench presses, then took a shower and went to bed. At 3am he awoke, incoherent, and continuously vomiting. So back to the hospital we went, and after neuro consultation, was sent to another hospital for a CT scan. (At the time, there was only 1 in the city). Fortunately, there was no bleed, but he sustained massive cerebral edema. Fortunately, he was able to be treated medically with mannitol I’ve infusions. It took months before he was back to “normal”, without headaches or memory loss. All in all, he was very lucky! Closed head injuries are very serious, and TBI is a real thing!

Great video as always. I think it was very educational for people that question if they should go to the hospital after a head injury. I think this is what happened to actress Natasha Richardson after she fell skiing. She went back to the hotel and went into a coma and died. She never realized the extent of her injury. Thank you again.

My husband has a brain injury from a Ischemic stroke and was in the area called the lacunar infarct I believe.
I noticed something was off about him because he had a regular routine in the morning and he stumbled a few times but seemed ok but I had this feeling that there was something more.
I called 911 and walked him outside to wait for the ambulance to arrive.
He was seated in the ambulance and they checked all his vitals and I was told they were good but they transferred him to emergency and I couldn't go because it was the first day of lockdown so whatever happened on the way or when they got him there I didn't see that part but he stayed in hospital for almost 3 months and ended up with right side paralysis and our lives were forever changed that day.

I was thrown at full gallop from a really big horse, no helmet, I still all these years later recall that whole fall. When I landed I hurt my leg and screamed. The horse took off back to the barn, brining out the owner on its back fast. I was alert, when I stood up I started having some visual distortions that the men around assumed were just "hysterical girl", I was mis seeing pumpkins as fire helmets. So I was lucid and asked for a cup of tea. Sitting there the Grandma brought me Tea and I had zero recall of asking for it, and got irritated. Fortunately, we are in 🇨🇦, a relative of the horse owner who was fresh home from Viet Nam looked at me and said Hospital now! He recognized head injury. I fell into unconsciousness in the car on the way to hospital, and have no recall 9f events until hours later. So thanks for explaining that period of lucidity that really confused the people around me and I nevr quite understood how for an hour or more i was there, then lost consciousness. At the age of 18 it is too easy for adult males around to assume hysteria vs. TBI.

It’s gotta be some kind of sociological impulse from when we were children and the comforts our mothers provided. Lol respectfully…
