This has got to be the bloodiest comic book in the universe.
Thragg using his own children as projectiles is just beyond atrocious.

thragg's death was so beautifully cathartic. There he is, unable to breath, completely alone, slowly being melted and roasted on the sun's surface alone. the last thing he sees is Allen carrying invincible off to safety
It's kinda sad, knowing without help. Mark would've died there and Thragg would have survived and rule the universe but pmot armor right
@@youtalkingtome6174 Even if Mark lost, Thragg would not have won. The moment both of them dipped in the sun, it was over for Thragg. Actually I'll take that back, the moment his children gave up that's when he lost.
@@NadiaLeeTalbot He'd still beat Mark without plot
@@NadiaLeeTalbot He'd still destroy Mark. You're not beating Thragg one on one without help. Battle beast the only one that had a chance but he lost
The sun burnt them all to he'll. Thragg was not used to pain, mark was. The ultimate deciding factor of the fight was mark got thragg in the sun when he pushed them to its core thragg wasn't winning anymore. Even if he hypothetically got out he would of been jumped by his children and the coalition in that weakened state Allen could of 1v1d him
I’m not sure why you left this critical piece of context out, but the only reason Mark was able to stand any chance against Thragg in their final fight whatsoever, was the fact that Eve used her powers to amplify him after she resurrected him following Thragg ripping him in half and basically killing him. It’s directly stated by Mark that she made him significantly stronger than he was previously... and even then he would have absolutely lost if not for Robot. Mark nor Nolan have ever come close to being a challenge to Thragg, and even the three that captured him did so because he wouldn’t fight back against them.
Until the end of the series, like, the very end of the final issue after the 500 year time jump. When Mark is undoubtedly beyond Thragg. And Thragg would have died in that fight in the sun anyway.
she didn't make him significantly stronger Eve herself said only a little.
@@swagninja3188 its still a (( significant amount )) in my opinion, because A) mark noticed it almost immediately upon being healed ,
B) making a being such as superman or a viltrumite feel stronger would still be considered an amazing feat to do in itself.
But i dont think it was anything insanely magical she did or anything either, to me it was like the equivalent of maybe giving mark a age jump with his powers. Since viltrumites get stronger as time passes and this is one of the reasons Thragg is sooo powerful. She probably just exploited that a bit when reconstituting him. Sort of like a saiyan exploiting a zenkai boost
@swagninja3188 That was just a little as in just a "little", sarcastically. Mark was literally ripped in half in their previous encounter...vertically. Do you realize now much stronger you have to be than someone do that to them? Mark was blatantly improved to a dramatic extent post resurrection. Idk why people deny that obvious fact.
Thragg was a lone wolf. Greatness is never achieved by the individual. It takes many. People always gloss over this. Good point! I love this story!

Yeah that shit is unhealthy cause wtf
Yet he gets bodied by 6 people in total in this show LOL
People say that Angstrom Levy is Mark's arch-enemy, but ultimately Levy just pops up a few times to cause havoc before dying unceremoniously, while Thragg casts a shadow over not just the whole story, but Mark's whole life, and even Levy himself is just a by-product of Viltrumite conquest at the end of the day.
Both have very petty grudges against Mark, but Thragg couldn't bargained or reasoned with the way Levy ultimately proved to be, and Thraggs' grudge against Mark isn't just some big misunderstanding but a complete clash of philosophy, ideals and life path.
Levy's emnity is very one-sided and Mark barely knows who he is, but Mark and Thragg truly hate each other and while Levy might be willing to threaten Mark's family to try and kill him, Thragg outright kills his little brother and rubs the brother's blood in the face of Mark's daughter, before going on to kill Mark's dad and trying to eradicate Mark and his entire bloodline from existence, and this after years of bullying Mark or trying to have him assassinated for being an obstacle to his plans, all of which left Mark traumatised or shaken .
Thragg- or Viltrumite culture as a whole, which Thragg embodies- is the true arch-enemy of Invincible. Levy is just kind of lame.
Very well said, Thragg is a villain that challenges the core of Invincible’s beliefs, Levy is meh.
Thragg challenges him on a whole different level. Levy is just a hater
Comparing Thragg and Levy is just unfair to levy lmao
You couldn't have fking worded this any better. Props to you man
I wouldn't say his relationship with levy is one sided. It starts that way, but grows to be extremely personal on both ends.

I wish that conquest would’ve challenged thragg, so thragg could body him. Can show how both thragg is op and that he doesn’t have the full loyalty of the empire which later turns on him.
Conquest would’ve been torn apart easily. Remover that mark Omni man and Oliver got slaughtered vs Thragg. Mark killed conquest before the Thragg fight even started. Not even a close gig he
Thragg did have the full loyalty, they turn on thragg because he is only the regent. Nolan is Heir to the empire. Thragg betrayed them.

Didn't know Freddie Mercury was so strong... And old... And alien.
Omniman told Invincible when he first met Thragg: Oh hell nah son. We literally can't win.
That's so hype. I love it when there's unbeatable villain and the heroes have to look for a way around it.
The thumbnail alone clears up why he’s so freaking strong. He looks way younger than Nolan but is 2200 years older. Plus genetic buffs holy shit😂😂
we actually don't know how much older he is, all we know is he is one of the few Viltrumites still around that served Nolan's dad. But yes, apparently he stopped aging at some point.
Black don’t crack
Cant wait for battle beast vs thragg being animated 😮
I cannot wait to see hin in the show. He is my favourite viltrumite next to nolan
Thragg using his kids as projectile weapons never ceases to make me laugh
If you think about it, Thragg's plan to allow Viltrumites to integrate to Earth at one point as part of his truce was in fact his biggest mistake that would later lead to his and Nolan's demise.
Just like Nolan, the Viltrumites will eventually realize that their old ways are horrific and they come to see that Earth truly changed them for the better, resulting in them turning on Thragg, even Nolan sees this as a chance to reform them since he himself realizes he's come to truly enjoy his time on Earth
Viltrumites are so much more interesting than Krypotonians
Hell... Sayians are more interesting and then Viltrumites add some "supermanism" to it, I love it.
Look at Thragg standing next to Cecil he looks huge, can't wait to see him make he's appearance on the serie.
These videos are done so well. Ice one man
You’re telling me Thragg not strong enough to 1v4 Lucan, Kregg, Anissa and Thula by himself? Nahh ion believe it dude was able to 1v2 Omni man and invincible by himself easily
Tbf it has to be kept in mind that Thragg was also in shock that the Viltrumites would betray him in the first place.
Thragg was tired and got jumped by all of them at once
You know you're reading an awesome comic when the main villain is Evil Freddie Mercury.
All I wanted to know is who thragg's barber was. 🔥
He was probably the only barber who never made him wait 😂

The Viltrumites are like animals or insects, they are all about who is the strongest, it reminds me of the children's playground, they are like kids.
So basically Thragg is General Zod and Invincible is Super Man.
No, not at all.
Stop trying to shoehorn everything into DC.
They are distinct characters with roles, personalities, ect.
@@23Raind bro its not that serious he's not " trying to shoehorn" anything, if they want to make the comparison let them. yes they're distinct comics with distinct characters but they do definitely share baseline similarities. You would have to be delusional to not notice.
@@krankkid7394 superficial similarities. You can find superficial similarities between supergirl and starfire. Does that make starfire basically supergirl?
Mark has little in common through personality, and little in common through powers. They share what 3 out of how many powers? Mark's powers are also pretty generic.
The costume is radically different. Omniman at least had an outfit that vaguely fit the bill.
@@23Raind ok man. 3 similarities? Your clearly going out of your way to downplay how similar they are😂
@@krankkid7394 a laugh emoji...Guess you have nothing to back it up.
One thing that still bugs me about Invincible is that the ruthless supremacist that is Thragg never triest to instate a breeding program to create pureblooded Viltrumites and instead sends out Nolan to find a near match species for them all to breed with.
What i dont get is that the viltrumites have females among their own kind. Why not breed with them instead of going out and breeding with other females outside their race? It doesnt make sense to me.
To avoid inbreeding I guess. They only had a handful of their people left.
Very small number. At the time of omni man preparing earth for viltrumite subjugation the entire race numbered like 50 individuals,51 if counting mark. So yeah inbreeding would be a BIG problem. They ought to have spent more time working on that instead of being so obsessed with spreading the empire. Hell, even before the scourge virus half the population died in the purge. Imo they kind of had some out of whack priorities.
50 people isn’t that much to repopulate a whole planet with. You gonna get extra chromosomes with those kid about 1 generation in 😂
@@johnnyboygriffin5764 Nolan implies there were about 50 Viltrumites left in the universe after the Scurge Virus decimated them. So long as there is no more than a 40-10 split between the sexes, you can easily kickstart a repopulation program. These people live for thousands of years remember, so unless the women become sterile at the same age as humen women do it would actually be easier for them to pull this off then humans. They would just need to keep a close eye on geneologies.
Ayoooo did the voice change or my ears need rebooting?

After the scourge virus its hard to not support Thragg when the odds are so stacked against him
JESUS...this is brutal lol
Are we not gonna talk about mark and Adam eve's are literal gods of the invincible comics? 😂
Best way to beat thragg as a Viltrumite? Get older. It seems strength is proportional to age.
If that were true, then why didn't Nolan beat him? He's older than Thragg from the looks of it.
Strength is proportional to age only when a viltrumite relies on age almost exclusively. Thragg is also getting older.
As Nolan tells Mark, he needs to push his body so he can grow stronger. Nolan never encouraged him to just sit on his butt and wait.
Mark got much more powerful when he started training l.
In that sense Thragg is no different. Thragg was trained from birth to be the ultimate viltrumite. He is more skilled, experienced and physically conditioned than any other.
Conquest is much older than Thragg, yet terrified of Thragg.
How strong a viltrumite can get by virtue of aging alone is speculation. I believe fans give it more credit than it deserves.
I think some people have an exaggerated view of A: how dramatic the power increase with age is, and B: if the power increases are unending. Humans also grow stronger with age too. However, when a human reaches his or her prime they are only like that for so long and then begin degenerating. Strength is then maintained by lifestyle and physical stress.
It seems likely that it takes a viltrumite far longer to reach their prime, and the point at which age brings weakness is very late (ie several thousand+ years longer than Nolan lived), in addition the greatly reduced aging rate would entail that the decline would be incredibly slow.
All of this means that at some point, a viltrumite should require physical conditioning to increase strength and maintain it.
We know viltrumites do not live forever, they have a very long but finite lifespan. It is unreasonable to think their power increases indefinitely with age, otherwise at the point of aging to death, the viltrumite would be at their strongest when closest to dying, however death by old age is brought on by the body being weakened over time and becoming unable to sustain itself. If a viltrumite grew more durable, more powerful indefinitely, then how could the body be wearing out?
It stands to reason that a viltrumite requires thousands of years to reach their 'prime' and thus Mark's powers would naturally increase (but to what degree) as he ages, but eventually those natural power increases will stop.
Well how come Conquest isn't the strongest then? Dudes the oldest Viltrumite. By this logic he should be above Thragg.
@@Tayce_t Excellent point.

It would be really interesting to see what its like if mark never killed conquest and nolan became emperor, it would be very strange and interesting.
so do they just put their eyes back in after they get punched out or do they get new ones?
idk, good question, i think they just put them back in because they don't seem to have the ability to regrow them since there is aviltrumite with one eye missing
@@flash4973might’ve been during the scourge virus outbreak (in which their stats were depleted and any injuries received during this time were not healed up) for conquest and Kregg. Thragg has his eye completely chewed out, but healed it back. Even guys like Allen (not a Viltrumite obv) healed back his eye which was vaporised out of his socket.
@@or_no. yeah you're right, this makes the most sens, it's crazy how strong the viltrumite spicie really is.the only area where there is major improvements to be made is the lifspan, they should evolve to not age anymore past a certain point, that would make them truly godlike

Ngl i didnt expect thraxxon bodies to look like earthlings...
Aria explains posted literally the same video pretty sure she didn't even change the background footage
Originally I thought Thrag was close to being unbeatable, but if 3 viltrumites could defeat him without inconvenience, this means that the second strongest viltrumite however it is may have 50% - 70% of Thrags power, making 2 of them enough to defeat him, and 3 to do it comfortably as shown on the comic.
