Early Winter Storm Beach Fishing at Night

  • Winter Fishing a Storm Beach at Night. In a classic GP shore film Graeme ventures forth to a South coast beach after crashing out his joblist to make time to fish. At first the wind is howling, it's cold and to make matters worse he has a food bag about 3 sandwiches short of a picnic! Yes we know that's him under normal conditions but this time he really doesn't have too much to eat and ponders whether he would get more energy by eating the Ragworm! In a TA Outdoors-style "Theory time" he sets you guys the question of whether he should eat the bait in the poor conditions or tough it out to see if he can catch a fish.He is, as you would expect given the weather, the only fisherman out on the beach in the dark. However he makes the best of it, so sit back and let him transport you to a freezing cold, windswept, rainy English beach in December. Mmmm...far warmer editing a film in the comfort of indoors ...Enjoy.

He is so knowledgable about all types of fishing but also the things he does around the house and his properties.

Don't eat the worms. If the fish don't want them they can't be any good. I do love your, unique to the British, sense of dire, though hopeful, pessimism, which, if you stick with it, can sometimes come up with the goods. I love fishing stormy winter nights because it's wonderful and invigorating to experience everything nature has to throw at you and just sit there watching your tip lights, and imagine you were anywhere else in the world where it's warm and peaceful and the fish are fighting each other for your hook bait. @@TAFishing It is truly a really good fishing spot but may I ask about the tides and fishing? I had bad experience a few times with out going tide and not catching anything. Maybe the weather can be involved to, I don't know. Catching those kind of big cod must give you exciting thrills, it would at least do for me. I caught Cod, Dogfish, flatty's and whiting there and used frozen squid, frozen ragworms and normal worms. Next time I will get more bait and try heavier baiting. When the Covid pandemic drops and let us go wherever we want I am coming back for more fishing. If in any case you are free and would like to fish there also, i would love to hook up!
