    Muito legal Gui! Me chamou a atenção a autonomia dela... achei bastante!!!

Abraco

    You stole my attention from another folding fat e-Bike I was considering.
    Particularly, the VASTLY superior packaging (the other model receives complaints for damage in shipping) and the customization.
    I won't say names, but the other one only offers fixed trim tiers, thus to get the large battery option, you have to either buy it separately for a premium, or pony up for luxury options like leather handle grips and a pillow on the luggage rack, whether you want them or not.
    Yours cost, delivered, as much as the other one's base trim level.
    They also don't have recognized branding for the electric parts, while this unit is nose-to-tail Bafang (a well respected brand in e-bikes).
    Oh, it doesn't even have lockout or adjustable rear suspension!
    Thanks for the thorough review!
    I do have a question though.
    How well does it perform off road? ;)

    • @BK42Cycles
      @BK42Cycles  Před 3 lety +1

      I guess I know the names:) I've been doing a lot of research before buying this one.
      The bike is almost a year old and absolutely problem free. The battery is still holding the charges very well too.
      Unfortunately, going off the road where I live is something very difficult. I did it a couple of times and the trails weren't challenging at all. The bike did well to my expectations, but I wasn't an off-road specialist and neither trail was too hard. If you decide to buy this bike, try to get the largest battery possible. I was quite short of money when I bought mine, but now I'd love to have some extra juice or even a second battery pack :).
      If you need any help, please let me know! I'm going to be happy to help you. Cheers

    I bought this bike about 3 months ago. It's a great bike for the money, it's only the suspension which is a little disappointing. I sometimes get the message "error 30 communications fault" on the screen, so I just turn off the power and then back on again and the message goes. very odd. I paid $1275 including shipping and taxes to the UK.

    • @BK42Cycles

      Hi Ken, the suspension could be better indeed. It had happened twice the "error 30" to me. Both time I was using the bike in an extreme situation like jumping or bumping hard. I am pretty sure some connection needs to be tightened. I am planning to remove all cables protection, unplug, clean and plug all connections once the bike reach 1k kilometres ( very soon ).
      The rubber grips are gone after 7 months using the bike. I can keep using them for much longer, but they are flat now :(

      @@BK42Cycles I have a twist throttle and the hand grips are hard plastic, so no wear, but not so comfortable. I've done no upgrades as yet, not even the saddle. I don't mind the saddle, it's much more comfortable than my Haibike electric mountain bike, which is murder! I prefer riding the Bluenergy bike to the Haibike, which was much much more expensive!
      I get the error message quite often, it seems to happen more on hot sunny days. I suppose one of these days I'll have to take things apart to discover the problem.
      I get concerned at times about being pulled by the police, as the legal power limit here is only 250 watts. Is it the same in Poland I wonder? Anyway, they haven't stopped me yet. I mainly ride alongside the local canals and avoid roads when I can.
      By the way, congratulations with your English.

      I have the full twist throttle as well, but it is left sided. I am used to ride motorcycles and having that on my left hand is quite strange. This bike is indeed, a fun ride, and as well, very comfortable. The fat tires helps a lot!
      The same thing here, 250watts max, BUT they control a lot more the maximum speeds and where we are riding. I'm always using the bicycle lanes and I keep the maximum speed: 25KM/H this is the local limit.
      Double checking and cleanning all connections may help. Btw, did you report this issue for Bluenergy?

    My bike is identical except for the name-KF10 Keteles. I found the stock tyres too prone to bottoming out at 2oPSI, so replaced them with Kenda tyres with a PSI of 30 and a far better ride. I recently had a power fail which showed an error message of E007. I tried all the obvious connections but could not find the exact problem? A day later, it is running perfectly again without any explanation? Would very much like to see a list of all Error Codes for these bikes and solutions if possible. Can you help with this?

      @@BK42Cycles Thanks very much for your response. Do you think the Bafang list of Error Codes is common to all E-Bikes? Is there one for the no-brand bike you are reviewing? Regarding Range for my bike, it is something under 30kms when I mostly use the throttle. If I could buy a Rack that could house a second battery, I could then swap the batteries for a longer range. Have you had the same experience?

    • @BK42Cycles
      @BK42Cycles  Před 2 lety

      the range is indeed very relative, it depends on your weight, how you ride the bike, the roads you ride it, even the external temperature. I was riding it in the winter, somedays around -10 degrees and the battery drains extremely fast.
      You can buy a rear rack and take a second battery, but it will increase the total load and the battery will drains even faster. There are some people capable of "tuning" these battery pacs .. basically, you can can have the same battery shell but add higher capacity cells inside. Instead of adding a second battery, maybe you can just improve the actual one. ;)

    Hi, I just watch your review because first I was interested by Mate X but yours enjoys me by its price ;)) But just a question, because in France we've only "electric assistance", namely we must pedal to active motor. So the FATTIRE 20 has it a real motor namely you accelerate when you push a button ??? And if yes, what is the autonomy withe this mode please ?? Thanks a lot !

      Hi Christophe, thanks for watching and welcome to my channel :)
      The price is indeed very attractive, especially when talking about almost the very same product and its parts. I was going to buy the Mate X as well, but the price, the long waiting period plus the terrible customer service were quite frustrating.. I don't regret my choice.
      You can operate this bike either only with the pedal assistance ( five levels ) or pushing the thumb throttle ( shown on the left side of my bike's handlebars ) you can also request a twist throttle, like motorcycles, but it may be another illegal item in the EU. Autonomy depends a lot on many factors, but in general, around 30km/40km pedaling.
      I hope it answers your question, if not get in touch.. cheers

      that isn't an easy question. The mid drive is completely different of the hub motors. I prefer the hub motors for how I use this bike, but if you will go offroad perhaps the mid drive will be better.
      I don't know what is the configuration and brand of your 500w ,, the Bafang 750w had a huge torque and with the Bafang 48v controller plus 48v 17.5 mha battery pack I can go as fast as 42km/h on the full charge and the battery range is about 65km now.

    Hi! After watching your video I ordered one for me but with 1000w mid drive. It has already arrived and I am very happy. I would like to ask you for an advice: if I want to upgrade the Derailleur: SHIMANO RD-3500 what should I buy? Shimano Alivio RD-M3100 or RD-T4000 or another you think is best?

    • @BK42Cycles
      @BK42Cycles  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Joao, great choice, 1kW is a lot more power :) I'm glad you like the bike. I'm still very happy with mine as well. Mid drives require a lot more maintenance of the moving parts, and a good gear system indeed. How many gears do you have on your bike now? The more speeds, the thinner the chain, and that is the most stressed element. I would suggest a full system replacement: Derailleur, chains, cassettes, and shifter. Either the Shimano Alivio RD-M3100 or RD-T4000 are very good but don't change only the derailleur.
      The top electric mountain bikes as TREK and GIAT are using SRAM SX Eagle on their bikes, this is one of the best, but unfortunately, it comes with a very high price.
      I know that this is not the best answer, but the question is not that simples as well :)

    Hello, I’m a totally newbie, but after searching very hard to a good e- bike, I saw your video. I looked at the sites of the seller, but I don’t get it very well... Can you show me exactly what bike you have, please? And what the upgrade of the bike is, you are telling about?
    I think I heard you telling Or I read that, if I tell them that I’m interested because of your video, that there will be some gifts? Is that still the case?
    I understood that I can ask them to do some customizations on the bike, is that right? I like a white one and I really don’t need a motor of 1000 W. If I get one with this motor, it’s see as a speed pedelec in my country (Belgium). Any idea if this customizations are possible (the Watt of the motor and the color if I buy 1 bike)? You know if there is a legal COC (conformity to the European law) with the bike? Because I’m interested in a motor of 500 Watt (or maybe 750 W), but then I need a COC-attest too...
    Sorry for all my questions, mate!

    • @BK42Cycles
      @BK42Cycles  Před 3 lety +1

      I've answered most of this question on your other post ;)
      If you want to have the bike legal COC you will have to buy a 250w, 36v, max 30kg, 25k/h no throthes and reflector lights ebike.
      If the bike does not match this criteria you can't make insurance and it isn't legal anymore.
      About the customization, one year ago it was possible to chose the frame color, rim color, motor and battery. I'm not sure they are still doing that because the bikes are now stored in Europe, so they are ready to sell ( if not you must wait about 2 months shipping from China )

The maximum speed in a flat surface is 46km ( with pedal assistance ) To get more speed, only hacking the controller and adding more battery, but honestly this is more than enough. I keep the max. speedy set to 28km/h to ride it legally. If you need a lot of speed, perhaps you will need something around 2000 watts over 58V, but it is another category then. The shipping prices are different for each region and as well they have changed since I bought this bike, the best way to get the right number is contacting the Bluenergy ( contacts in the description ) They are very helpful and the consultation is free :)

    Thank you for great review of bike ;) Can you please tell me which is your average range on one charge battery, normal discharge level and which speed can you maintain to longer ride on flat surface... For example if you ride 30 km, can you reach 35 Km/h speed on this 30 km ride all time?

    • @BK42Cycles
      @BK42Cycles  Před 4 lety +2

      Hi there :) The average range is 50km. It depends a lot on the driver weight, if you will cycle together, or use only the motor. But so far 50km is the average. Each assistant mode has a different maximum speed. The level 5 on a flat surface, battery between 75% to 100% 32/33km/h. The speed will decrease with the battery discharge. For instance, if the battery charge will be 10% the max. speedy on level 5 will be around 21/22km and not 32-35km anymore.
      To make this bike faster, it is better to order with city tires ( not all terrains ) and replace some parts to make it lighter. The bike is very powerful and the torque is huge. It launches very faster but the end speedy is not too high.
      Anyway, for legal matters, I keep the maximum speedy at 24km/h in the bikes computer. I hope I'm answering your question :) Cheers

      It depends on what you are looking for. This bike is smaller, but a cool bike as well.
      When I bought mine I was looking for an e-bike with the battery pack integrated in the body ( for safety reasons as well to keep the bike parked outdoor a bit more protected ).
      This bike you sent got all weight concentrated in the back, I'm not sure how it will be the riding experience. I usually like to have the weight distributed along the bike's body.
      Another thing you need to ask the seller is the Motor and the battery brand. To me the battery cells need to be good ( panasonic/samsung ) and the motor BAFANG. It is possible to buy cheaper bikes, but it won't stand much...
      This one doesn't have hydraulic brakes - this is very important to stop the bike. 750Watts goes really fast!

The good thing is that it arrives with all taxes already included and no surprises.If you will need any help to configure the parts, pls let me know. It is also important to let them know in which side you want to have the rear brakes ( I didn't inform them about it and I have on the left side unfortunately, as it is hydraulic, changing the sides require a lot more work than normal cables ). Thank you once again and keep in touch!

    • @BK42Cycles
      @BK42Cycles  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi buddy, It's a great fun to ride off road and in the city as well. Talk about the range is very complicated because it depends on many external factors as rider weight, speed, pedal assistance or not , hills inclination. I haven't done this deep research so far. Apologies for that. I am about to make a side-by-side comparison with the MATE-X e-bike (Chinese e-bike as well ). Thanks for watching... if you have any other question let me know

      @R3v3r4nD Před 4 lety +1

      @@BK42Cycles Wow, thanks for a quick answer! :) Great, I am looking forward to comparison with MATE-X! also if you have weak points of the bike, or what's good to replace or maybe to the contrary, which parts are exceptionally good - something like "3 months in review", that would be very for making the decision!

    • @BK42Cycles
      @BK42Cycles  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks for the ideas :) A lot to do still indeed. I guess it will be a 1 year ( 2.500 km ) review very soon. 3 weak points: 1 - Saddle - easy replaced - From what I know the producer is replacing them by a better model as we speak. 2 - handlebar - also easy to replace, 3 - Suspensions are very hard - easy to replace as well but a bit more expensive. This is not surprising by the bike's price. A full good set of oil suspension may cost more than this bike itself :) 3 best parts: Engine is absolutely a best. 2 - Panasonic battery pack - 1 year and it is still almost like new, 3 - Frame construction - super solid and steady.
