Hi kyle, glad seeing you ripping on it, your tricks are awesome. We are really sorry that the plastic on the board didn't last long, we put too much effort into making it look good, but forget about the impact strength by using too much fibreglass in the pa66 plastic, we are working on a refresh kit that replaces the old formula plastic parts and I guarantee you this time it will take your abuse much better, also the rim&core department gets a massive upgrade by using a improved A356material with added T6 heat treatment,I believe it will the drops much better. BTW the new formula bumper is on the way to you guys, and also the replacement parts for the hub and rim is going to you as well, please shoot us an email if you encounter any difficulty in reassemble it.
You a real one Tony. Also want to add that people should be getting USDC as opposed to bitcoin cause in the span of time that it takes to order that value could drop (*Or go up). Whereas usdc should make that process a lot more streamlined.
"you'd be stupid to buy a GT now" -Tony
It’s Kyle not Kevin 😂
@@zanderwitaz going back to GT from adv, feels terrible. GT feels like a polished pint, yep their plastic don't crack but pint motor just don't have have torque. Brittle plastics are just one refresh away for adv, but that pint motor and that 180A mosfet is gonna stay with your GT for life. While adv has a 380A mosfet power stage already and big ass motor, yep I'd still have the same opinion, You d look real dumb to spend 2.5k on GT today while a better and cheaper adv is available.
@@floatwheel I'm all for a GT alternative, and I do respect in some ways what you're trying to do. don't get me wrong. But if all of your plastics are catastrophically failing ( which isn't limited to just bumpers, but controller and battery boxes as well) on top of the very motor you just quoted as superior, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence. And these are immediate mechanical issues.( Easy to diagnose...why did they ship??) The community (and you as well) cant know the long term QA/electrical problems that may arise as well.
I do want you to succeed, but until you put these products through their paces and fix issues that are more severe than a mere "refresh" Id probably cool off and lay off the cockiness a bit and focus on fixing your product as thoroughly as possible. Until then, even though FM is a garbage company, I wouldn't call anyone stupid for considering a GT.
Important to mention in your video would be that Tony owns all the problems that occur.
Parts are being upgraded and send out for free for the founders edition buyers.
Some hickups, but man WHAT A MACHINE!
For the rest, pretty nice to watch!
Thanks Kevin for letting him rip it!
This is really awesome that he is doing this!
nice little review about the floatwheel. Heavy boards are not best for tricks anyways but the secret for a sweet trick tune is in the motor cfg. Just set motor current to 80A/-80A and you tamed that power
We will have to try this!
You definitely showed the rim who's boss LOL huge buckle in it
We didn't even realize until later lol
Bro fucking demolished Kevin's board 💀💀💀
Still rode away though!
The cat on the floatwheel is just pleasing to the eye! Thanks Kyle for sharing this bit! I was sharing plenty of videos before you goats come out with your own. i have still so much to learn but this sport is amazing and nice to see the openess from the community towards anything which brings it further ahead. I love my floatwheel and I am grateful that the sickest riders are also keen to explore its potential.
It has a lot of potential!!
Awesome video. Kyle and his crew did an amazing job highlighting the pros and cons. I also love how Tony came to bat to defend his baby and support early adopters like myself. Despite looking like a wreck, the board still rips. No ragrets.
Wait what? I’m so confused. Everyone came out of the woodwork to hate on the GT when it dropped. This board gets completely demolished in one ride, and the comments are “looks great”. Haha, wtf
The board RIPPSSS
@@Ty-ye8rd The gt was Future motions 6th product release. This is floatwheels first. Also the gt had many issues like ghosting and DOA. It is also a very sucky anti right to repair board and company, so yeah hating on the gt and fm makes sense, hating on the floatwheel doesnt.
@@Ty-ye8rdUm, people and property were demolished when the GT came out due to ghosting and rocketing into things and other issues. What are you even talking about?!?
Yeew! Love watching you ride 😍 We liked it too!!
Will you guys be getting a board aswell? Have been really interested in what opinions everyone at float life has about the adv.
@@NoGameuNoLifeuThey got theirs last week
@@Jdb63 2 of them, adv and adv pro
@Jdb63 thx alot! Can't believe I missed it
When’s the review?!?!! 🤞
excellent video!! your amazing at those tricks! Thanks for the demo video!
Thank you! We love riding!!!
Hey Kyle, no comment on the bent rim? Can see it pretty good at 5:05 and 8:17
What bent rim :) Xr is the shit.
LOL we had no idea until it was too late! Pretty taco-ed up though
Awesome test and review 👍🏽
Think I'll wait until Tony fixes somethings can't wait for the second test drive 😜
We are ready for round 2!!
Thank you Wheel Fun Stuff!
At last god revealing video. Promising. Hope this FloatWheel + VESC will become standard version available at any store. That's something being able to keep up with midrange EUCs.
The hours of that shop are unreal lmao.. open 4 hours a day in 2 he intervals 4 days a week.. I love it
This is the most experienced and wildest Onewheel rider I have seen!
Oooo who are the top 3?
so keen, Will pounce on one once the plastics are updated.
They're getting there!
Yeeeeeew!🥳
Tony just make a deal with Jeff for bangs 😛
WE WANT BANGS!!!!
That wheel though! Lol! Gonna need a new one already!
Shreddin to hard!
excellent choice of Kyle to test those🏆
He knows how to break a board!
Looks like you will need not only bumpers to replace but also to repair the rim itself because now it's bent
They are upgrading the aluminum used for this!
@@WheelFunStuff Thank you, that's good to know
I just ordered one. I know they've addressed the plastic being brittle. It sort of looks like you may have bent the rim on the hub as well? Any comments on that? Is that any less durable than a Onewheel rim would have been?
My intent is really just to use it for street and trail riding with some curb drops and nudges here and there, then I'll probably delegate my Pint-X to a trick board if I want to learn some more things.
Full send as always
As alway!!!
Daymn!! 😂😅 The bumpers are an easy fix, but that rim?!? that is far more worrisome...
This is just V1 though, I bet in 1 year it'll be much more dialed in 👌
V2 actually. They released a Floatwheel a couple years ago back when they accepted credit cards
@@farriswheelersdayoff9844 Sure, but that's an entirely different board and more like a crude prototype. This is their first worthy competitor to Onewheels. And what I meant is this was v1 of the ADV/ADV Pro, just like the ghosting GTs were v1 of the GT.
imagine having an 'ackshually energy'@@farriswheelersdayoff9844 but you still get it wrong.lmfao. this is V1 of the ADV that is a direct competitor to GT.
They are dialing in the hub for sure!!
Yes! I am definitely going this route compared to one wheel. You literally save $1000!
Oh and they have more power going up hills. I'll see you soon floatwheel!
P.s is this good enough for a free floatwheel??!!
Did you ever get new bumpers? And did they fix the issues?
I’d be interested to see if there’s a more street-trick friendly tune that can be quick-loaded. Nikki Dimes up here also said it’s a little burnout machine.
It loves it's burnouts!!!! Quick load tunes would be epic
Great Video, Some insane drops and great riding. There must have been so much more that wasn't shown on this that you did with this beast.
comments make me laugh, haters gotta hate.
Great video, great product, great skill.
I'm sure this product will go up in price or FM will have to lower theirs, for most of the world it's almost $1000 cheaper to buy this over the GT and it outperforms it by a decent margin.
Haha no it was pretty surprising it was almost 2 hours into riding thats including the time riding to and finding the few spots that we were able to film before we said it’s time to head back after the last bumper broke 😢
It's a FUN board that's for sure!
This guy beat the crap out of it and is a good way to test something so the company can improve on the product stop attacking and help the company grow.
Thank you! They are upgrading components that were broke from this!
Nice riding
Haha who needs bumpers anyways ? Solid shreddage, machine looks pretty dreamy. I might have to get one for shredville eventually.
You would love this beast! It is a tank for sure, mainly b/c the weight lol
@@WheelFunStuff I could mow through 6ft grass with that thing!
It freaking shattered!
Just like them bumpers!
@@WheelFunStuffhahahaha
yeeeeww!!!!
What did Kevin say when he picked it up?
Can you put bangs on it?
Maybe one day...
Is the rim sides really thin or soft or why not talk about the dented rim?
We didn't notice the rim until the video was released. It is a soft aluminum that is being upgraded.
I hope the fender plastic isnt the same. Its so close to the tire that if something gets lodged in there at speed, it could crack it. Even more concerning is the footpad plastic. What if it takes a hit? What if you've got the fender top on and that takes a hit and your fender mounts crack at the screw points?
Very true! They are upgrading all the plastic pieces to better plastic
I gotta bring my GT sometimes for a Hanson Tweak 😃 619 Representing
Bring it in, Kyle can tweak it up!
Whats the songs name around 1:44 :)?
YOUUUUU!!!
NO YOUUUUUU!!!!
guy like messed the thing up lol, rims bent, that guy may not be happy about th testing but its cool to see what it can do. How fast before the thing pushes back? I havent seen anyone talk about pushback in a video yet
There was no Pushback that was really felt during the testing. Was reaching speeds up to 27mph. We need to ride one more!
Yeewww!
YEEEWWWW!!!
Thanks for doing this. The community needed it.
Of course! Happy to provide
Yeaooh
YEEEE
4:32 and 4:59 You can see a bend in the rim. Was that caught on film?
It was hard to notice, but we believe it happened bonking the red curb in the video!
When whill enyone make an uphill test of the floatweel? Been waiting for it for... And thus will show, are they competetive to EUC?!
Newer eucs are still better since they are higher than 100 V nowadays but the float wheel has way more torque then the gt
@@coreykirby1632 Thanks Kirby. I thought floathweel would be that. Floathweel reached 50 km/h. It was great. Only torque is my question. It must be better then GT. I Have Inmotion V13. But One Wheel (original with 0,5kw) was my first love. And beginning of everything.
Onewheels will never be competitive with EUCs uphill due to the shape, the extreme soft mode, and the smaller motors & batteries.
@@darselkselky6111 yes it’s definitely an improvement the float life posted a video about if
Thanks Kirby.
There wll be more and more uphill test videos like those in San Francisco streets regarding GT a year ago. I'm still counting on the Floatw. Because in case of microlocations (like grocery, farmacy, beach,...) it is very suitable. I cannot help laughing when see someone complaining about Floath's weight. My V13 iz 55 kg weight. Floath is light. And hey. I think a suspension is of the greatest impotancy. And I'd like it to be embeded in the Floath as standard offer. Not only the town is hilly, but the infrastructure is disaster. Roads full of ruins, holes... Except those live in Mahattan.
YeWWWWWWWWW!!!
YEEEEEWWWWWWW!!
Yeeow
YEEEEE
They are changing the plastic stuff which is great. Now I’m just waiting for a better payment method.
It is a little tricky at the moment!
Isn’t the adv a better trick board, but the bumper has the same material. Definitely need to differentiate the design for trick and trail riding boards!!!
The adv would be a better trick board!
2nd!!
Just like Kyle at RFTR
You bent the rim too??? 😂
Who else did?
yikes, looks like we did!
I’m scared to ride my wheel like this 😂
Accidents happen...
are we gonna ignore that giant ass dent in the rim?
The xr rim just cracked instead of bending, to be honest i dont know what would be worse. But thats why floatlife makes guards for them
@@NoGameuNoLifeu I know. I’ve had life savers on my gt since day one. I’m just commenting on the fact that he never mentioned it😂
Such confirmation bias in these comments. The whole board got destroyed.
@@Ty-ye8rd Ikr? I have no problem with floatwheel. I think what they are doing for repairability is great, but you need to address the issues if you want anything to get better
Yes, lets not talk about it!
Definitely don’t regret going with the (GT) over the float wheel as my first Onewheel💯🇺🇸
Hey, just Remember your only leasing the board you don't fully own it🤣
@@truedawgbowman3831 that sucks for you kid but don’t ever make your own issues somebody else’s issues🤙
@0906danny Hey, sorry for being a poor sport. Thanks for being positive about my dumb comment!
Floatwheel has more range, higher speed, more torque and is cheaper😂
You also have the right to repair it yourself.
Everything is basically better
Good points. Overall the GT is very user friendly as a first board, ride it right out the box, minimal settings to adjust the ride that cannot be overdone. For the Floatwheel you have to be more involved in the build of the board and making sure it is tuned correctly for it to even ride correctly.
Is anybody know a way to purchase a float wheel without having to give coinbase an similar services your back accounts user name and bank password to get cryptocurrency from them to pay float wheel?
Who is this kyle handsome *.*
Who is this sexy german boi
U broke Tony’s board 😂
Did you expect anything less?
5:06 rim taco?
We didn't notice until the editing LMAO
The plastic was much too brittle.
Why not use a high durability plastic like a HDPE or UHMW?
They are getting upgraded!
I'm still getting one shortly much better than Future motion ow 😂
Go get it!!!!!
Rim is bent af holy cow
She wanted to be a taco, almost there
5 percent of the GTs had issues, and they get attacked in every comment section. This get’s released, and is completely destroyed after one ride, and people think it’s great? Haha, talk about confirmation bias
People want to hate, we like to appreciate! To be fair, the board was still working great just real shitty plastic. Gotta find the faults to make it better!
God damn Kyle I'm so jealous of your working hours. This man "works" 4 hours a day, only 4 days out of the week. Must be nice lol
LOL he got a full time job during the week and finds the time for this "work"... maybe oneday lol
😂😂😂🤙🏻
YEEEEE
Firrrst.
Number 1 in my eyes!!!
Yeeewwww! No Flux Given!
You know how we do!!
Holy crap! This board was falling apart….
Just the plastic. An easy upgrade, which has already happened. Much better now!
There’s absolutely no bitcoin involved in purchasing a Floatwheel lol
Still a mystery to us!
Wow those bumpers make me wonder what other quality corners they cut
the bumper plastic was a last minute mistake for aesthetics, every owner will be getting new plastics when he reworks the plastic formula to make it more durable
I’ve already received new plastic parts. Let’s see.
All of them.
The bumpers are extremely high quality, they're just too brittle. The entire board feels very premium
The community already tested all asppects of the board and the overall quality is very good. There are some first batch issues like the brittle plastics. But Tony is on it to fix all the issues. I have my board since almost 3 weeks and I'm so focing happy I bought it!
I'm trying to be carefull with the plastics. But I did nudges and nose slides and the board roled down some banks in the sk8park and so far it holds up. I have a little hole and a few cracks but that's just cosmetic issues so far. And if I get the improved plastic parts I'll rip it even more!
Wow, that board looks like complete trash after a basic ride. Thanks for taking one for the team so we don’t buy them. That rim lookin pretty wonky lol😂
Sometimes trash is a good thing! Toy Story 4, great example lol
Kyle is factor on durability and operation.... Still dont see how is TRUMPS GT... Floatwheel knew all these issue and others prior to manufact and spiced up videos but not implement the it in totality
They are working on upgrading the durability of the components!
Rim is totally bent /crushed 5:05 and 8:17, piece of junk and people complain about GT? I don’t get it, glad I went with a GT. No regrets.
Trash! I knew it lol 😆
Cope
You ain't know shit
Agreed.
The plastic didn't like the ground very much...
i wish i was skinny
Get them squats in and go ride!!!!!!
