    I find it incredible that you take your time to respond to so many people (no need for response).
    I knew that I would be joining the military early before high school, and now with the research I did since then to see which branch is proper for me, I finally landed on USAF this past year. Now I was checking out all the other career fields and decided to go for security forces because it was a simple job with a crucial assignment. Plus, I have an interest/plans for law enforcement after the military. I came across your videos and others on special forces, specifically TACP, and that made me decide why not go for more. I always thought these jobs were too top tier for me even to get a chance of seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. But I believe I'm more fearful did I will take too long to accomplish such superhuman responsibility. That's why I decided to focus on TACP, considering it's a job that plays a significant role and assists in keeping gears moving forward in the military and the US society in general. Also, the training pipeline is considerably less time required to accomplish than its SOF counterparts.
    Anyway, I will put your shared knowledge to good use along with my other research on preparation for everything. I appreciate you again, my friend. Thank you, brotha.

I'm hearing different things about the current state of the pipeline from different places on the interwebs and the ANG recruiter I'm working with. • @joshknix1866
      @joshknix1866 Před 3 lety +1

      TACPs DO NOT go to A&S with PJs/CCT/SR. They have their own “selection” that’s a week long. It’s not technically called selection but a lot of people quit in that week. Then it’s on to the apprentice course where more people will fail or quit. All this can be found on the Air Forces website.

SW Prep in the later weeks would be difficult if you’re just jumping into it, but the coaches are really good with the programming to have you primed at the end of it. You’ll be restricted on your freedoms there, living in a BMT open bay dorm with around 150 other people in 3 bays. An ANG recruiter told me that it was highly unlikely and that most likely you'll skip the prep course. If this is good information, which I doubt b/c he didn't know about the last course, you'll have to PT like a stud b/c you'll have a hard time leading a bunch of first-term airmen that have been literally preparing for 8 week straight, getting top-tier PT coaching, exposure to pain in a formal training environment, etc.. I'm really hoping it's not true and that PS will get some type of prep (I heard maybe PS would go to the same course as the TACPOs go to prior to A&S).

      Both endurance work and speed work. You want 1 1/2 miles to feel like 1 1/2 blocks. Build your endurance to 3 miles, 5 miles, even 10 miles ( which will help you to also feel like your ruck marches are not that long). You want to feel like that 1 1/2-mile distance is not even a challenge but more of a joke. Simultaneously, one time a week, do speed work of 1/8 mile, 1/4 Mile, and even 1/2 Mile intervals with rest in between. Ultimately you'll get faster and the rest intervals will get shorter.

      Hop in a pool and sink or swim 🤠 just gotta get on there. There’s ton of CZcams videos out there for swimming basics. Best of luck, and have a buddy make sure you don’t drown. 🤙🏻

      Best boots are Oakley Light Assaults for flat level terrain, and Rocky S2V for the woods/going up and down terrain.
