This is the start of the Dempster Highway. The scenery is incredible and it was an amazing adventure, so this will be a series on its own. I hope you enjoy!
Great stuff Tim! Such an adventurous place to go. The real challenge is ourselves, more than the road, the weather, the bears, the bugs, the machine. It's us that we need to conquer.
Thank you, great video with times, dates & speeds!! Hope to get to those parts next year. Fingers crossed for good weather & not too experienced on gravel so nice to see vid & what speeds you chaps were doing. Cheers 🍻
I love watching this video Tim ! I will see video 2 also How many days was the whole trip ? Where do you eat and sleep ? Do you found fuel for your bike all the way to the arctic ? It was very expensive ? It’s a trip that you will never forget ! Thanks for sharing !
Thanks for watching! The whole trip was about 11 days. I brought a tent and camped most of the time. There are lots of food stops until you get to the Dempster and then there are very few. Fuel is the same, we carried gas cans, but didn't end up needing them. Watch through the whole series to see what it was like.
I was up there end of June. We had great weather, so that would affect speed. The first part to Eagle plains we kept it around 70-80km/h to conserve fuel. After that it varies from 70-100km/h depending on the road surface. Just before Tuck the road was bad, so 60km/h was tops.
Good quality and interesting video.
Thanks, I appreciate it! It's an amazing place to ride.

Looks incredible Tim. Have you clean your chain a lot in the Dempster. Road looked good so far. Drive safely!!
Probably should have done that more, but there wasn't a lot of places to do it.
I did this in summer 2019. great.memories. and I did it on my tiger 800xrx.
