I had to take the centerstand off to fit the bash plate... Agree re: the front fender. I guess since it's technically a street bike, they just slapped a beak on it.
Great video. I just rode the Dempster at the end of August on a KTM 890. I rode from Whitehorse to Inuvik and camped at the same crappy campground that you did. That place was a nightmare. I don't think I slept at all. I rode up to Tuk and then all the way back to Dawson City. That was probably too many miles for one day. I ended up with a flat tire at the first ferry crossing on the way back and had to stop and fill the tire every 50 miles. It really sucked riding in a thunderstorm from Eagle Plains back to Dawson.

Loved the video. Nicely done. Recommend the fender extender and rad guard for those types of trips. I also carry two makeshift rad guards that I cable tie on. Easy to remove, put the other one on, then bang the mud off the first one and clean it at a creek when I can. That way I do no have to look for a hose. love my 2020 Honda CB500X RR2. I hit like and subscribe.
Thank you!! I added the 1" lift kit on the African Twin front fender, and would probably do well to do the same to the CB... In sticky mud like that, removable radiator guards would also come in very handy! Ran into a guy on the new Harley Pan American in Deadhorse and he was complaining of the stock radiator mesh was so close to the actual fins, that they completely caked with mud and we're almost impossible to clean.... @@TwoWheelsThreeSheets I don't live in Inuvik but have spent a lot of time in Native American villages in Alaska. One of the hard things to get use to is "village time", the concept of doing it later or tomorrow regardless of the agreement made.

The craziest motorcycle riders I ever saw were crossing the Andes at Paso de Agua Negra. A gravel road with a fair amount of traffic and many horseshoe turns.
I drove to Dawson City in 1976, 2007, and 2008 but was unaware of the Sour Toe tradition. Next time I make it there I will have to join in for sure! Nice videos!
Thank you! It is a very cool little town, a real time machine... but I didn't have the intestinal fortitude to kiss the toe. No regrets for not partaking.
I'm really not sure... Established government campgrounds are plentiful in the Yukon, and while I wild camp as much as possible, I do my best to avoid private property or areas where camping is specifically forbidden...

Truth of the matter is in dry conditions, you can ride it on just about anything... but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. Tires are a major factor, and street tires aren't appropriate... A lot of people make the trip on cruisers, but your chances of success go down significantly riding the wrong bike.

The Dempster looks so much more docile than the Dalton due to no drilling rigs and trucks leaving a cloud of dust to blind you.
