Great review Sir! As you mentioned about the riding position, the one at my dealer felt very similar to my Thruxton R. Nice and sporty but not overly aggressive. Like my Thruxton, it feels like I could ride it all day without any discomfort unlike my Speed Triple RR. I can only ride the RR for about 30 minutes before I feel the need for a dismount and walk around. Especially when I am in any traffic. It hates riding in city like areas. I'm sure with a little fiddling you will get the suspension just right for your liking. The sound of the engine is mesmerizing! Love the triples! The fit and finish of the 660 is beautiful just like all the Triumphs. It's nice to see it out there in the wild finally.
Ride SAFE and BE safe Sir! 👍👍

Thank you TTRGuy! These riding positions are there to challenge us and keep us young 😂. Yes, love that 120 Deg crank and its triple turbine effect. Glad to see you persevering on your steeds 👍😀 . Ride safe!

Thinking about getting one of these for a first or second bike (doing it late at age 50, but I'm more like a 30 year old physically).
    Great video.

Is it fair to say the handling is pretty good but just a bit different? as if you had to do it in bit different way as in other bikes? Cheers.

Yes, the handling is good and the bike is light, it’s not a chore, just a bit different 👍.

@@terenceokeeffesmotorcyclestuff what would you say is the root cause for this kind of handling?

I'm considering this bike and I hope you can elaborate on the steering issue you mentioned because everyone is being very vague, which is not helpful. Can you be specific on what exactly you're feeling? Is it uneasy on the straight, does in want to lean too much on the turn, do you have to fight it to lean? Thank you for your time.

There is a slight reluctance to turn in that requires a little extra effort but not so much that you feel you are over counter steering. The good news is that I have played with the rear preload over the last 850km in all of the lower four positions (out of 6) Even as a heavy rider I find I can balance out this handling very well at position 3 and the handling is much better, neutral and balanced. Go position 4 and the handling is unpredictable (for me), you can go back and forward over the same twisty road and never be quite sure how much input you need. It’s too nose down. Back to 3 and it is great. I feel that this bike is very sensitive to rake/trail differences (very short trail) and even one notch different on rear preload can upset the balance appreciably. I would say any owner should try stock position 1 and then see if they prefer position 2 or 3 after that. I’m happier with it now I have tested this all out. I shall make a video on this soon I think. Cheers!
