You apply for financial aid at the same time as admissions application. If you don’t apply at the time of admission, you won’t get any later on as an international student.

Recommendation request from the viewers!: Should I go to Emory or NYU?
Emory has such a beautiful campus, good opportunities for my intended major in Public Health since it is a Public Health/Premed school, small class size (I can get closer with the professors, but it could be harder to make friends with such a small student body), good balance between competition and collaboration, an opportunity to potentially intern at CDC (nearby), etc. However, there are not as many job/internship opportunities or as high of prestige (which I hate to admit, but I hold very highly).
NYU is in a beautiful, busy city, there are more job/internship opportunities, an arguably more prestigious name, a great opportunity for me to dive into both marketing/communications and Public Health (which would give me more job/scholarship opportunities, although it may not as hands-on with Public Health as Emory since its an exploration of two different fields), more diversity, a greater variety/depth of courses, etc. Although, there is more competition, which, while it motivates me, could also mean fewer opportunities since everyone is competing for the same things.
What would you choose?!
As an Emory senior, I had the same problem, and I'm really glad I chose Emory. The way Emory immerses you in the human health department is amazing. If you want those internships of high prestigious they are def out there as many of my friends are entering top programs overall in all areas later this year. also I feel like it was much easier to make friends due to the smaller student body as well.

@@angelachou7473 wont disclose. But all top firms and top schools respectively. Tbh its what you make it and how hard u wanna work for them tbh. And its also super hard to get a really prestigious internship or job at any of these firms as a freshman regardless of the school you go to. Tbh i think nyu and emory r pretty similar. Would say emory has more of a honey feel and i would really stress the living and friend factor when making ur decision. U seem v capable you’ll get ur prestigious internships. I would focus on where you will feel comfortable for the next four years and the type of campus life you want to experience. Youll find out that plays such a large role in how you feel throughout ur time in college, possibly the most important role
@@osayamenatekha8943 Thank you so much for your replies! I really appreciate it! And yes, I definitely think it would be incredibly difficult to get a prestigious internship right as a freshman. Many notable internships are only eligible to juniors and up! I'll definitely look into both schools some more, but Emory has a 1-up for me rn with all ur provided information!!! I definitely really like Emory's close, small student body, campus, and great health department!
