Durant is my favourite player to watch as well, love how he shoots so much mid-range in particular but let's be real, his "2 rings" were cheap as hell and didn't add anything to his legacy. Everyone outside of GSW knew exactly what those championships were and as a result Kawhi and Giannis were celebrated far more as earned achievements.

Man watching KD is amazing, totally agree with him. Any game I watch him there are at leadt 5 or 6 times where I shout “How?” I mean he has no flaws, he is the perfect basketball player on paper and he is even better in real-life. To be pretty much 7 feet with that long of a wing-span and even move like that is rare. But the way he can shoot from anywhere anyway with the defender having no chance to stop it is incredible and that’s not even the best part. His efficiency while scoring is just unfair. My man has quick handles, a quick jumper with a release at the top, 7’6 wingspan, nearly 40% from 3, over 50% from the field and nearly 90% from the field goalwith the post-game, athleticism, great game iq is just amazing. Can’t mess with Stephen A for say KD 6’11, 7’6 wingspan could pull up from 30 every single time
His mid-range pull-up is iconic. Don't think any guy can make that at 7ft.

He does have flaws but this era can't expose those flaws these players today aren't smart enough on defense, I know for a fact that he would struggle in the kobe and Jordan and magic era, Tony Allen did an excellent job on him and so did kobe when kobe was in his prime. You just have to outmuscle durant stop him from going to his sweet spots.

KD is the perfect teammate in NBA history. A scoring machine that is selfless and is an above average defender fits in every team without the need of building around KD. Still hate his way of winning championships tho
To me, he doesn't seem like the leader type of player. Giannis, lebron, cp3, etc are natural leaders, while also having the talent to back it up. KD, Kawhi, Kyrie, etc have so much talent even if leadership isn't their forte. KD is a great player to have on literally any team. He can be your best guard, forward, or center, whatever you need. He can play a ball dominant game or offball, whatever you need. He can play like the best player in the world while acting like a Second option. Anytime I make an alltime starting 5, I usually have KD on there because of how perfectly he'd fit with anyone.

During KD's last year in OKC, I went to go see the Thunders play the Celtics live at TD Garden. This is just my opinion but I sincerely believed he was the best player in the NBA that year. He was just unstoppable, there was absolutely no way to guard him. He could iso, run any pick play, post up high or low, could pull up from 3 - whatever. If you gave him space he could drive in and score inside. The Celtics got destroyed that game, and they were having an amazing season lol I think they were the top seed that year.
imagine if he went to a 3-point barraging team with an mvp and intense defensive philosophy. unstoppable iso, off-ball, and impenetrable defense.

Lebron is stronger, but he isn't shooting over KD's length in the paint, and he ain't stopping KD from doing anything he wants to do on offense.

Hey JJ/Tommy, just a thought, but I think questions like “could you talk about how valuable he is?” Oftentimes lead to generic answers and give off a little bit of that generic post-game interview that us fans are trying to get away from. It is possible for the person answering to give an insightful interesting answer but it’s too dependent on them. Might just be my opinion but I thought I’d bring it up to see if others feel the same.

I always say KD is Kareem 2.0. His jumper is an unstoppable weapon just like the sky hook. Add to that the ability to put the ball on the floor and shift you, and you get the greatest scorer of all time, in my opinion. He might not match the career numbers of Lebron and Kareem due to injury, but that doesn't matter.

I personally believe Giannis is overall the best player, and I think Luca may take that place some seasons from now
Great young player but he has ALOT to improve on for one he’s not really a good or great shooter he has a lot of room to improve on his shot selection and efficiency, his body and conditioning can Also be improved, very high level passer but he has room to improve in that area as well. Playing off the ball is another area some times less time on the ball is better for the team. Cutting setting screens , spot up shooting. If you watch him play you know that he’s kind of a guy that his basic stat line covers up a lot of his weaknesses. He’s close to a harden/Westbrook type of player better than both but if he’s not cared he can end up in that same situation we’re 10 years from now we look up and his stats say one thing but his team success says something else. A lot of these guys could take a page from Ginobli and realize individual success and team success are two diff things.
I'll take Harden over Luka but I agree with you about Westbrook
His shooting/scoring since he’s got in shape has been pretty good tbh, I think the main factor for him to improve on is his body and his improvement in scoring/shooting is a testament to that. A fit and conditioned Luka means an improvement in nearly every aspect of his game
He’s KD’s favorite player to watch too. He needs to switch over and D up though- at least in the 4th

I think for Luka the only weakness is being in Shape and keeping his body right then the sky is the limit.
MJ, Wilt, Shaq, Kareem, Kyrie, KD and others are dominant scorers. Offensive skill set wise, Kyrie, in spite of his size, might have the best scoring aresnal. But the others add size or athleticism or strength in ways he cant tho
