Wow, a lot of videos to watch, but having watched a couple, I think this might make my mixing and mastering so much better. Already seen a few ways I've been going wrong. Big thanks for keeping it simplish as well.

Not that we are suppose to work with our eyes but.........your wave forms look just as good as the pro's
You make a lot of logical sense👍 So, ideally you should mix your song from the static mix, include your processing, levels etc then export it. Start a new session for mastering only.
That forces you to get the mix right versus mastering in the mixing session. Sound about right?
Ive been trying to mix and master at the same time and it sounds good on my studio speakers but when I play it on my phone or in my truck it’s always sounds low. So it’s been a little frustrating.

@TheBandGuide - for an EP/Album, if you recorded and mixed all of the songs (and song transitions) in a single logic project...is there any reason to split each song out onto a separate track like you have done in this example? Is there any downside to just mastering it all as a single track at that point? Thanks for this series, immensely helpful!
this is gonna sound like a ridiculous question but, what do i do if my mastering assistant button is gone? its genuinely not there

I noticed that your db meter was in the red for the mastered tracks. I don't understand why this isn't a problem. Shouldn't the final masters always stay below, say, -.5 db?

Hey Antonio! That's a great question - Just indicating red doesn't actually mean it's peaking- it's just a warning indicator. So inherently in mastering, you'll be seeing red on your meters.
Is the metering a logic plug in? I’m still using GB but I think I’m ready for Logic 😊

How come my "Bnc" button is on my stereo out channel instead of my master channel? Will that make a difference in my mastering?
Your stereo out is your master channel I think he just renamed his 👌🏾
The shortcut cmd shift M didn't work for me. Instead of opening "master track" it opens "stereo out". Is there any other way to open a "master track" column?
Yes! If you go up to Track in the top menu and select "Show Output Track"
I do think the instruments drown out the vocals.. especially that cling sound and guitar:)
