Oh Dave, I shouted out loud IGEEEEN (yes in Hungarian) when you started to open the Marshall boxes. My first-ever pedal was and is a BB2, and I can't agree more. It is amazing, it rocks, it blues, it is everything, I just love that pedal so much.
Currently laid out with the flu and bored out my box - could not be more buzzing to watch this video! Story time - I was trying to buy a golden plexi on fb the other day but after chatting with the guy a bit, realised it was a mk ii. So fine, we chatted JF tones and that was that. Then he messaged me this morning saying he’s sending me the golden plexi mk ii for Christmas! Having been scammed £50 for a ds-2 on Facebook before, it restored a wee bit of faith.
Watching your videos always puts me in a good mood. Also, the end part, how you switched from the funny medieval minstrel-thing to the introspective Popol Vuh-sounding bit in like three seconds, was impressive. Thanks, Dave.
I am so impressed by the tone that you get out of the Boss Katanas! Are your presets still available? I would buy one if I could dial up tones like that!!
And now ! ! ! FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT - lets sort through my VHS collection shall we ? ? ? all the usual home videos, you know, the birthday in 1995, the caravan trip on 2000, lets not forget the tea and biscuit town fair in 1998, several graduations and a retirement party or two. Next week is the family legacy collection of Cassettes and 8 Track tapes we might even toss in a 8mm film's shot by various family members during our journey's. Tata for now - Happy Christmas and Merry New Year to you all - 🎸🎷🎤🥁🎹📺🎬📽🎞🎥
What have I on my pedal shelf?..... Shelf?..... Haha funny guy.... A small matchbox(Swan vesta) gives me storage space for my collection and the likely purchases of the future.... 😐 Y'all take care now from North Nottinghamshire UK
If you tie wrap the power bank on the underside of your board, then you will have enough room for another couple of pedals Dave. I did it with mine and it worked out perfectly mate. Then you could get the Rotovibe on board, and probably another.
One of my fav pedals is my UNIVOX Square Wave Fuzz….it’s a mid 70’s orange coloured and sounds amazing…it did take me 2 yrs to find one lol…and as with other cool vintage pedals it’s gone up a lot in last few yrs…
I have that same Crybaby Wah, and its just as beat up lol Also, I know this is a guitar-centric channel, but would you ever showcase some of those video games you got on the shelf? Maybe some of those movies and shows?
ZOOM G2......SSshhhhh.....Keep the secret ....I also have 3 and G1's.....They are amazing. ..."Can't live without. Happy place".....Professor Simpson get's it right again.
I think you could customize three more great smaller pedalboards with diverse tones and versatility per mood, and more shelf-space for Queenie's bass gear ;)
1:30 Hey, depending on the bass pedal it might work really well with guitar! My favorite wah (which I just recently acquired) is the JCT95 Justin Chancellor bass fuzz wah - I don't even play bass but it sounds stellar with guitar! I haven't played a standard bass wah in person, but the few videos I've heard of it on guitar, it also sounds great. The wah at least is a bass pedal more guitarists definitely need to check out. :) 20:40 That's the same way I describe my favorite pedal, a DSM Humboldt Silver Linings. It's also super versatile with a couple different modes that can be switched between with a flick of the switch. It can even act as a proper preamp - when I emulate an FX return on my Code 50 by turning the preamp modeling off, most drive pedals sound too quiet and dull, but the Silver Linings' preamp mode sounds great into this setup. I definitely recommend checking one out - great light bluesy drive tones, vintage almost-fuzz tones, and chuggy almost-metal tones, with the preamp mode and an independent boost, all in one easily navigable pedal with a beautiful embossed sunrise on the front. :)
I had an AC-2 but had to sell it to have a little extra money for my kids Christmas gifts that year. The reverb on it was intense, I would run it at full reverb into my OS-2 and it would be like a pseudo delay-ish sound. Same story with my Double Muff, short on money. I miss both those pedals.
Of no interest to anyone more than likely,.. I share the Mel9 and RC10R pedals with you, and that's all. I share the Morley wah pedal with Queenie (albeit a different model). And that's all :o) Cheers Mr Dave
I was going to say the Boss V Wah has a Setting for bass guitar Queenie could try because a normal wah for electric guitar scoops away the bottom end which is no good for a bass im guessing thats a wah purely made for bass guitar?
24 hours box set , great show, that guy jack never die, no one can bring him down, not FBI , not CIA ,not homeland , not LAPB, that guy just impossible to kill. in movie world, two guys you dont want to messed up with, jack bauer and john wick . edit : maybe that guy from moivie " TAKEN "too, liam nelson..?or something.
12:30 Yes demo the Acoustic Simulator please! I've always wanted one but reviews seem to be mixed so I wonder what Dave can make it sound like! Maybe square it off against an actual acoustic electric...
There's a corner of the internet that really enjoys hating Rob Chapman for some reason. If they heard the story you told here, their heads might explode...
Thank God I watched this sober otherwise I would be waking up tomorrow to emails saying "Your 10 new pedals will be delivered in 3 days" 😀

Before Dave , I never realized to keep guitar gear around …
After watching Dave videos I keep everything now , including all my pedal boxes as well ..
Cheers Dave..wuz like popping round to mate's house to geek over pedals.. have a great Christmas 🎄 bro
Great tour of the pedals 👍

Super vid dave .happy christmas man
I had an AC-2 that was stolen with my whole pedalboard. I remember seeing Supergrass on TV using it live when they played Moving.
David happy Christmas time to u man🎄🍻🛸

Fun video, Dave! Cool collection of pedals! Good to see the red Oswald make an appearance!
Yes please review the acoustic simulator
Compared to Josh Scott none of us have that many pedals on our shelves. 😂

Man that harmony pedal is my thing! sounds amazing Dave...I must get one
+1 for AC-3 review (and acoustic music!)
Great video thanks for sharing all that pedal goodness 😀 👍
Enjoyed seeing your pedal family cheers Dave!🙂
Love the medieval bit, any chance you could do a full story series?
I have that same Crybaby Wah, and its just as beat up lol
Also, I know this is a guitar-centric channel, but would you ever showcase some of those video games you got on the shelf? Maybe some of those movies and shows?
Yes please demo the AC-3 😊
You've got to love a man with PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games on the shelf next to the telly.
"I can't get my head around U bends" -- very wise words from Dave Simpson, 2022
Liked the demo. Everything from Jethro Tull to a jazz trio in a one table, back street, Tokyo sushi bar.
ZOOM G2......SSshhhhh.....Keep the secret ....I also have 3 and G1's.....They are amazing. ..."Can't live without. Happy place".....Professor Simpson get's it right again.
I got 'Lister of Smeg' vibes with the mediaeval sound! 😂
a review of the acoustic simulator would be great
I loved the medieval bit! 🤣

I like that you've got a katana on your katana
Some pretty cool pedals I have a shelf full of pedals myself lol!
I'm just getting into pedals, so many to choose from, my latest one is a behringer vintage delay, great for solo work imo.

40:45 I live for this bullshit
A Katana on a Katana!
Yes, we want to hear a video on the acoustic sim pedal.
Sounds like some Good Christmas Turkey Gravy to me, Mw
A Katana on the Katana hmmm
I'd like to see the AC3 review 👍
Hey Dave where is your Fender Champion 100?
I sold it in 2019.
Love the dual katanas.
I thought the AC-2 didn't have reverb.
Dave hasn’t got room to horde pedals because of all the amps and guitars 😂
Very true.
@@thedavesimpson keep up the great content Dave. When are the Trio coming to Leeds?
It’s just a flesh wound 🩹. 😅👍☮️🌞🎸❤️
Amazing video!
That's a JJ tube box i recognise that as i've bought some myself
He's got the box!
Dig the katana on the katana

Are you sure that's all?
Nice. Yeah, I don't have many pedals myself. Although thank goodness I have several because the little supro I have doesn't have any effects.
Hello Dave! Are you planning to get the Bluesbreaker reissue? I'm wondering whether I should get it or stick with the silver one.
I’m not no. I never liked the original so I’m not interested. :)
I was going to say the Boss V Wah has a Setting for bass guitar Queenie could try because a normal wah for electric guitar scoops away the bottom end which is no good for a bass im guessing thats a wah purely made for bass guitar?
Pitch shifter, Wah and fuzz. Far too much above my p(l)ayscale to be able to find useful.
Where's dat RHCP review??
Love your vids
I’m not reviewing it.
@@thedavesimpson Aw, was looking forward to it! I liked it a loy more than UL, I was curious about your take

Do the AC3 Dave!
I enjoyed the video thank you very much. Hopefully this one is acceptable. A subscriber.
All I need is an overdrive and delay pedal
Dave Gibson came out with new pedals
Tremolo flanger compressor far as I know
12:30 Yes demo the Acoustic Simulator please! I've always wanted one but reviews seem to be mixed so I wonder what Dave can make it sound like! Maybe square it off against an actual acoustic electric...
Dave, have you tried out the new FuzzRite by Catalinbread? It adds the germanium circuit, and sounds pretty close to me. Curious about your thoughts!
Not yet.
Great video Dave. What does the Marshall governor pedal do Dave ?
Its a distortion pedal. I have a demo on my channel of it.
@@thedavesimpson nice. Thanks for the response and I’ll check out the demo video. Thanks again Dave.
cool pedals! do you use the loud n proud from mad professor anymore? nice plexi style pedal 😉
Nope. I gave it to a friend.
@@thedavesimpson ok dave thank you anyway ...the pedal is cool but also little bit a "diva" 😉
Iron Mans my favourite Avenger
