Highway 1 (PCH) north of San Francisco through Stinson Beach, Olema, Point Reyes, Bodega Bay all the way up to Mendocino should be mentioned too. It's a long ride, but certainly worth the trip.
Nice list. I rode out to Cali from Maryland last year and concentrated on the coast mostly since time was an issue. Couple places I was very impressed with not on this list were Routes 299, and 36 and also the Avenue of the Giants.
