2014 Mustang has the best looks. Best mix of old school and the modern imo.
did you see the new 2024 when I first saw it i thought it was a camaro
@@jackmac814 I have not made up my mind yet about the looks. I am more concerned that new car prices are getting out of control. The Mustang, Camaro, and the long gone Firebird were cars of the people. Pricier than other cars in the lineup yes, but they represented something you could obtain with some hard work and saving. Now though… over $50K for a Mustang? Really? Like most I will wait on the used car market.
I am looking at getting a C7 next year as prices have come down to a more middle class budget.
My two cents…
@@NEO_RedPill_2024 theres a lot more regulations now then there was back in the day I bought that 2014 mustang because my credit wasn't good enough to get an older car it had to be 10 years or less I think and i need transport to my new job. If I had perfect credit and 20,000 just lying around I would of bought an old 1985 foxbody that had a frame up restro with new engine. With that lopee lopee lopee sound lol
@@jackmac814same here. I got the 2014 GT because I couldn’t get the ‘87 GT in mint condition 😅
I might be bias but I have a 2011 black CS I can't stop looking it.
In my opinion the 13-14 Mustangs will always hold a soft spot in a lot of peoples hearts and therefore command higher money. That’s the car game
2012 too
Just enough technology.....
One of my favourite generations of Mustang. Not too low/sleek looking and have aged well considering they’re about 10 years old
Unless you're actually racing, that 300 hp 4.6 is a big box of fun, driving around town, driving to work, cruising down the highway. I have endless fun with it, and my favorite part about it is that it's in the Mustang that still looks like a Mustang..... and that's what made it so popular. That, and the unmistakable sound the 4.6 makes. Yeah, if you must have the most power, it's hard to beat the Coyote, but I'm perfectly satisfied with my '08.
I think the 2005-2009 are the best looking!
I bought a 13 GT premium, 6 spd manual when it came out because of that 60's look. The lines on the car are beautiful. Solo performance street race cat back exhaust gives it that 60's muscle car sound. Steeda suspension. Bama tune. I still absolutely love this car after 10yrs.
I own a 14 GT and in my opinion its the best looking mustang ever
I’m going to agree. I have a 2013 GT500. Yes, it has over 200 more hp than the GT, but I can tell you that those extra ponies are hard to use on the street. My car is loaded with options like nav and cockpit adjustable shocks, etc but I haven’t changed any of those settings in years. But it’s bones are the same as every other ‘Stang of the same vintage. I have taken it on the last 3 Power Tours, piling up over 2500 trouble free air conditioned miles each time. My car has over 60k miles on it. I’m old, and I don’t plan on ever selling or trading this car.
IMO why own a vehicle if you can’t drive it? Glad you are enjoying that ‘stang!
Hey, I have a 2012 Boss 302 with 55,000 miles and like you will not sell it. Gonna keep it and drive it till the wheels fall off, but will take good care of it along the way.
@@PooslingingmonkeyHow do you like the Boss 302, I’ve been looking at getting one as my first manual and first V8
Just bought a V6 2013 … love it !
I just picked up a 2014 Mustang GT California Special two months ago, I absolutely love it 👏🏾👍🏾
2013 Gt, Track Pac, Recaros, 6800 miles. Makes me smile every day!
We bought a black 2014 Mustang GT convertible back in January with 55k miles. Black was my last choice, but we bought it because of the miles, the 6R80 transmission, no mods and a straight body. It's currently in the paint shop being painted Fighter Jet Gray with painted racing stripes. My new staggered 19" Curva Concepts c42 wheels and Nitto NT555 G2 tires are sitting in the garage. I lowered it and installed Roush axle backs. I know changing the color will depreciate it, but I don't care. It's mine to enjoy. I also added the 2018 Mustang style Morimoto tail lights, which I love.
Have an 08 GT with a 5 speed. The key is all Mustangs feel fast and make the driver feel better....except the EV pos.
Have a 2013, Brembo pkg, GT that I bought new in Dec. 2012. It's been my daily driver ever since and is still excellent and strong performing. The Coyote engine, even first gen., is a gem.
I've owned 2 2014 GT's, the 1st one I bought new and it was a Track Pack with the 3.73's and Brembos plus other stuff. I had to sell it a few years later due to money issues at the time, I loved the car though. My 2nd and current is also a 2014, but Standard GT albeit a Premium this time. Previous owners tastefully modded it with a Boss 302 intake (not all that useful), Borla ATAK cat back system, 20" black American Racing Wheels, and like a 1" drop. I got it in early 2021 before prices went out of control for $15k. It had 137k miles at the time, but in the 2.5yrs since and another 22k miles I've had zero issues and still runs strong. Probably gonna try to keep it as long as possible. Probably just be a paperweight when they decide to outright ban gasoline.
my favorite base model mustang ever. 2013 supersnake is the ultimate dream car for me
this Mustang is awesome. now after watching this you make a solid point comparing this to a corvette. last April just after turning 59 i bought my first corvette a 1999 C5 Hardtop w only 18k miles. 100% bone stock. love this car. lately i’ve been watching reviews of 2013-14 Mustang GT and loving them. in 1996 i bought a new 4.6 L GT, 5 speed manual and it’s bringing back many great memories. i don’t plan on selling my Corvette but if I ever do this 2014 mustang GT would definitely be my number one choice.
Enjoyed the video, I'm still enjoying my 2011 GT every day.
i love mine, had it 9 years. its a silver 2014 gt convertible with red interior i love it!
You are so correct, in that these are so different than vettes. I bought an 09 Z06 and absolutely love it. In 17 i was window shopping the net and found a 2013 Boss with 1800km. I was very intrigued, and ended up buying it. Never thought this Mustang would and could captivate me like a vette but it certainly has. A much different ride, but incredibly addictive in performance and sound. Keeping both till the bitter end! Never thought these gens would end up so wanted either, but understand it now whole heartedly. Cheers from Canada :-)
These are def gonna be the fox bodies of the modern day in the future
Way less of them made. Foxbodys were everywhere back in the day. 1.1 million 87-93 mustangs sold (2 million foxbodys total) and only 175,000 13-14 mustangs sold.
@@robfeldschun6146that’s very little 13/14 mustangs made thank I got one last year with 36k miles
Last Mustang with those iconic large fog lights in the grille 💔
2012 GT Conv little under 2 weeks ago with 36k miles - love it!
" 5:27 Oddly placed at top"...it's perfect for your radar detector.
someone knows whats up
This sounds like a car I could buy and live with long term. My 1986 LX was super basic 5.0, 5-speed, sunroof, power windows and rear defogger....No air or anything else. It was pretty fast stock mid 14's with a 2.73 axle. Eventually was high 12's low 13's with 3.55's some basic mods and Nos. Had it for 14 years and 160,000 fun miles. A 2014 GT with a 6-speed would be faster and with air and more comfort options would be fun. I do like the looks and retro style. Cool to see a review on something that is not a Shelby or a car with 700+ horsepower that is almost unusable on the street.
I have a 2013 GT Premium with the track pack and Recaro seats. I bought it mostly new. It was a dealer demo that, I believe, they were going to dress up for Mustang Week at Myrtle Beach. It is surprisingly quick (plenty to irritate my wife) and fun to drive. I've been tempted to take it to 5-Star since I live in Florence and have stopped in.
Next time you come to the beach swing up to Toasted in Calabash NC. We have amazing food and an awesome cocktail list. I have a 14 GT Premium M6 Black with Stone Leather
Yep I got me a 04 mustang GT automatic dark shadow gray and a 14 mustang GT sterling gray and a manual transmission and I really enjoy thoses horses
11 years, 137,000 miles and 600 to the wheels and my 13 Gt is still running strong.
I had a 2011 mustang with the 3.7 V6 and those were crazy good for what they were. You got the same transmission as the GT well the auto was a slightly different version, basically the same. You had a very stout v6 with a forged, crank and rods and really good flowing heads stock. You got a limited slip diff stock although it wasn't the nicer torsion one although you could option it and I put a vortec V3 on mine because I made my own bracket cuz I was poor but I made about the same power as the procharger kit. You making over 400 horsepower to the wheels at like 8 psi and you're still getting like 24 mi per gallon if not more, especially on the highway I used to get like 30 or more just cruising at 70 and cheap insurance over the V8. I think the 2011 to 14s are great, V6 or V8. I never got to run mine at the track, but most with the canned tuned procharger kit we're running at least 12.5 second quarter miles.
The 3.7’s are vintage now, it’s actually worth keeping. Plus that’s the best sounding v6 ford ever made.
I have 2010 GT auto, absolutely love this car, even with 315 ponies under the hood 😊
I have a 2012 GT convertible. Changed the taillights to the 13, 14 style. Did some mods, Roush axle backs, 91 sct tune, cold air intake, ford racing short shifter. Happy with the car will never sell it.
Thank you SOOOOO much for making this vid!! Ive been a Mustang fan since the 80s, and a Ive owned 8 since then.
Im gonna get get some flack for this, but 2014 marked the end of Mustang for me, at least stylistically. 64-70, Fox, SN95, New Edge and S197 are where its at for me. S550, S650??? Nahhh, you wont see me in either.
Dark Horse? GTD?? STD???!!! No thanks....07-14 GT 500 please and thank you.
Solid generation of Mustang, that had a reputation for being tanks. I think it is my favorite look of the "modern" Mustangs.
We have a 2014 Mustang GT/CS, race red, that is my Daily and with two mods... CAI and Stainless exhaust which I believe probably brings it up to about 400whp...had it 3 months and I have yet to mod it myself... will dyno it soon... the 'Stang needs bigger tires for sure and suspension tweaks but overall is an excellent car. Style wise I think it is almost perfect even without the grill fog lights which I really like. Mindful of a 1970 Mustang fastback. The '13 Camaro we have is not stock and puts out 720whp and is a beast of a convertible. Been 160mph in a 'vert? It will snatch you bald! Hard to compare the two cars as the ZL1 is effortless in operation and the top dog Camaro. The Mustang requires more driving skill, but what is amazing is the 5.0 keeping pace with the 6.2 Chevy SS Camaro and the 2018 and newer Mustangs even better suspensions and Port/direct injection.
Future classic? Prolly.
Good video, Brendan.
Agree 100%. I went from a GT350 to a ‘14 GT500. The S197 platform is just way more fun to drive. And to this day I think it looks more badass than the successors. I have no plans to sell my ‘14.
yep, I've had my black 2014 drop point-o for 5 years already... I'm keeping this thing
'14 GT500 is my dream car. I'll have to settle for my '13 GT/CS, I guess!
@@jovalleau that's still a dope ass car... I went out of my way to put those wheels on my drop point o
Same.. I love my 2014..
@@OGStoneVegas Oh, I'm not complaining. XD
13/14 future classics. Raw power classic 60s fast back looks.
I’m happy I bought my 2014 gt base. 36 k it’s the base but what matters is that v8 coyote engine and those 5.0 fender badges it has.
My 5.0 is always a joy to drive I got a 2014 California special
The best and the last 1 standing!! Long live the King 👑 ❤️❤️❤️‼️
11-14 are the goat!!
I'll just say what everyone is thinking. This is the best, most attractive production car ever turned loose on the driving public. The designers of this car are true artists!
I bought the 2011 GT Premium 6MT new, and loved it. The power made it a little tricky pulling out in wet weather, but yes, it really pulled. I kept it to 2022 and sold it just before purchasing a new Bronco. I wasn't driving it much by the time I sold it, with 37K miles in eleven years.
I've had my 14' mustang gt for over a year now and I love it. I highly recommend flowmaster outlaw axle backs for the best sounding exhaust (for the price)
🤔 GT 500 mufflers, 3.5 " cat 🐈 back
@michaeltabanao8092 very true!
I had an 06 GT fastback , 4.6L. Bought it off dealer lot new and drove it until auto trans died at 110,000 miles in 2020. Had lots of small stuff failing including interior door panels (glued them on more times than I can count), seat stitching, ac compressor, cam sensors, rear suspension components etc. When trans died I decided to upgrade to factory ordered 21 GT/CS fastback with MT82 6 speed. Night and day difference vs S197 but I still love the S197 design. If I ever get rid of the 21 GT/CS I would definitely get another S197.
Every mustang I have owned, those door 🚪 panel material always delamanetes......want to get it replaced with leather and stitched
@@michaeltabanao8092 I finally gave up trying to glue them and bought the hard plastic inserts form Predator Mustang. That worked out but not as nice as replacement leather trim.
@fordguy3032 🤔 thanks , might try that.....
@@michaeltabanao8092i found the boss panels on marketplace for cheap and they look killer , premium ones can be found for cheap too
Miss having that 2014 coyote... I was pulling about 480 hp.. hard to get the smile off at that kinda power... Photo in my profile pic.... 👍🤙..
Had the dash upgrade carbon fiber and stereo touch screen definitely worth it.. ,🤙 she sat about 3.5 inches from ground 19" 235 front and 19" 255 rear ... 😊Unfortunately should her last year 😕
Couldn't agree more, Infact, I recently just bought a 2013 GT sub 20K, It is higher mileage, but i really don't care, the cars interior holds up to todays standards, aside from the radio/infotainment. But a $700 upgrade to a dynavin head unit with carplay.and I think this car if the best daily driver muscle car. I think its a hidden in plain sight, gem of a car.
I certainly like the body lines of this Mustang above all others. Including my 1990 GT.
Thanks for the video. The 67 fastback is the best looking, but the 5th is my favorite of the modern generations.
For me it is a tossup between the 69 and 70 fastback for looks
@@fortheloveofnoise9298 Beautiful cars. All of the 1st gen fastbacks were great.
Red beard, red mustang. Hell yes!
The 12v outlet is placed perfectly for a radar detector.
Ugh i absolutely love this car
My favorite modern stang. Peak FoMoCo performance before technology took over to much imo
Hello, pleasewhere can Iget the additional front lights on the grill, many thanks!
i daily one of these! good car !!
I own a 2011 GT/CS with a glass roof. I have owned every generation of Mustang, and this one is arguably the best. Destined to be a classic.
Despite the solid axle Randy Pobst got the same lap time out of a 11 GT with the track pack as he did out of a 2011 BMW M3 V8.
Great Mustang generation and frankly like just about all the Mustangs these cars will hold their value with the only exceptions being the V6 models which I predict will become cheap and easy to get engine swap projects for a lot of people.
My favorite gen of Mustang. I just wish I could afford one.
My favorite model that’s my next car in a manual
The most mustang Mustang to ever mustang
My next car. I saw the new 2024 and it just elevated the price of the 2014 by $2000.The 2024 is great if you like the Camero and have played video games all your life.
Been saying this since the S550 was launched
Currently trying to decide which car to buy in a few months, 14 GT, or a 79 Trans Am… Do I go for new or old school? Reliably or stunning looks (both have stunning looks but trans am’s just have slightly more) 😣
2013-14 was the peak of the "old" Mustang. Too bad you didn't get to review a manual. I'd love to own one some day. Hopefully values don't get stupid
same here. hoping prices stay low for when i get one!
If you get a manual spend about $4,500 for a Tremec trans.....even with an automatic and tune...hits hard
@@michaeltabanao8092 huh? I'll just replace the factory trans when I break it. Plenty of experience replacing the T45 in my SN95 🤣
2014 Track Pack here.. MT-82 Best of the Best.. They could of done a better drive shaft (Mirror Vibe w/stock 3,73 gears) Near useless 1st gear and Crappy Clutch tjat drags giving the 2nd gear lockout.. Missed a few.. but otherwise awesome!
What's with the sticker on the radio that says "UNPLUG SIRIUS" @ 5:40?
Fast in a straight line and comfy, Lincoln Mark VIII LSC. And can be had low mile starting at 3k.
If it had the full-on Terminator engine with supercharger, I’d take it, but probably not a stock one.
The 4.6 3 valves will be collectors 2005 to 2009. Why? Because those were brute cars with a V8 and driver aids were limited to traction control and ABS and live rear axle until 2015. The 2010+ models came with ASM, Advance Trac, ABS, etc. Everyone has to remember, 300hp back in 2005 was a lot. They were underrated too, most came with 308hp to 310hp. Sure, they didn't make 412hp like the new Coyotes at the time, but it was and still is a strong engine. Everyone just got sucked into the whole EXTREME horsepower game.
As someone who has owned a 3v and a 13 gt, the 3v is trash and won't be worth much ever, maybe in 100 years
The 4.6 from 2005-2010 is one of the worst engines ever made by Ford the 302 from 86 to 95 was the best. The 4.6 can only make 500 something horsepower and that's it
@AustinGamble-xp3tg 500 for 2 pulls lol.
I've only had my 3v for 2 months now I traded it for a kia forte and let me tell you I didn't regret it one bit sure the mustang did have all the cool tech the kia had but I like a simple car to begin with all I need is some speed and the 3v 4.6 is not slow but it's not super fast like the 5.0 ether but you still build up . My goal for the build is to make at least 350hp from the 3v engine. If I get bored with that I will eventually coyote swap it and make some serious power.
@@thatv8life186 but it's TRUE to OG mustang 4.6 and similar body lines man that's why it's so underrated because it's a perfect example or retromod car.
Last of the good looking mustangs
I had a 2012 3.7 v6 with performance package. After a few mods, it was surprisingly quick for a v6. Nice car but traded it in for a 2018 GT. I must say, I like the handling and refinement of the S550 mustang, but I think the 2013-14 were the best looking. I’ve never driven a 2014 GT, so I can’t attest to its straight line acceleration. Despite the 18 GT having 40 more horsepower, I believe the straight line acceleration, with manual transmission, is very similar due to gearing.
0-60 in these cars is the same as a terminator cobra. Impressive for sure, especially for a N/A mustang.
2014 mustang GT harken edition. If the 4.6 can really be had for half as much just grab one and a supercharger kit and have a blast
I almost bought 2014 GT, black color with leather but it was sold. So ended buying 2016 GT.
all the modern fastback mustangs look similar, i like them all
Nice. My dream car. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
It’s the triton 4.6 v8 and reliability
I've owned a 2012 white GT for 12 years now. Still think the 11/12 model year is best looking ever. I rarely drive it because it's my 3rd car so only has 89,000 km's (55k miles). Will probably keep it till I'm dead because I'm emotionally attached to it😂
I live in AZ, this exact model is 27k😅
Always loved the exterior styling of the 5.0 but those interiors! I don't care for anything about the interior. That Coyote engine is sweet though, especially when paired with a manual transmission. But it may be tough finding a good one that has not been beat to hell.
I concur, its like they made a bad ass car, and they gave up when it got to the interior department
Ya that's why I like the s550 mustangs more, they put a lot more effort on the interior.
Best year for mustang. That’s a why I bought mine. I researched the the 2015 and didn’t like the body style as much as the 2014. Still don’t. This is a the best looking mustang year.
I suspect there will be *at least one more* V8 Mustang after the S650.
Nice car,
2007 GT500 and a 2008 bulit edt my choice
100% gonna be the equivalent of the 67 fastback
I’ve owned my 2014 GT since I bought new in 2014. Will only get rid of it if I’m trading into a 2012/13 Boss 302
yup I wouldn't bother with s550s or s650s over the s197
Ford is enjoying this with dodge and chevy bowing out of the muscle car race it just like the mid 2000 if you wanted a new v8 muscle car all you had was the mustang
I'm really happy that you showcase this car. I think this body style in this car was under appreciated and I love it and I appreciate you bringing it to the attention of people but unfortunately. Now the price will probably go up on the used ones.😊😊😅😊
Cool car. I test drove these and its competitors (Camara SS and Challenger R/T) with manuals. I am not at all a Chrysler / Dodge fan, but I must admit that the Challenger drove the best (its interior was already falling apart, as you expect from a Dodge). To me, it felt like the best car going in a straight line. I think you can get a '09 SRT8 for a little over $20k now ... that'd be my option for going fast in a straight line. All of them are great cars though!
I ended up buying none of them, instead opting for the much more rare and much better handling Cobalt SS Turbo.
Just bought a stock '09 Cobalt SS. 125k miles, original owner. Not stock any more. I can't leave anything stock.
@@aaronbritt2025 Awesome! And thanks for modding yours. The value of mine just shot up👍😉!

I had a 2014 auto V6 I gave to my mother, I want to get a GT 2014 manual convertible but would settle for a 2014 V6 manual convertible. Curse you for making values go up! I won't be able to afford one for years as I have to buy a vehicle for my new job eventually, so I can't afford to buy one for a few years.
A new edge 4v is hard to beat for sound and performance. For the newer body styles my heart will always belong to the GT 350 and Mach 1.
People like to knock the auto trans but a tune will really wake it up.
