also important to note for my bigger folks: larger bodies have larger clothes. it’s ok if you can’t pack a ton, even as “little” (it’s quite a lot) as in this video. stick to lighter fabrics and take a few days to lay all your choices out to start minimizing each passing day.
start with all the ones you love/want to bring. then each day remove two items you could do without. by the end of the week when you’re ready to finally pack and go, you’ll have your thoughtful selection.
also, no matter what, you’ll always be able to buy a piece while traveling (same for toiletries that aren’t prescription or absolutely necessary, like hydrocortisone)! release the fear of not having everything you want :) takes practice, but I believe in you.

speaking on the last comment as another big person, i like to bring a straw and siphon the air out of ziploc bags! it makes them more compact but you don't have to deal with the hassle of a vacuum sealer- although you might get a bit winded if you're packing a lot! ❤
Exactly what I was thinking! I travel carry on a lot but I'm a big girl and probably pack half of that. I decided to not care too much about how I'm dressed and focus ont he adventure.

I don't have any upcoming travel plans but this provided a lot of reflection for me. I often get hyper-fixated on clothes, personal style and aesthetic etc. I really felt the "detaching clothes from personal confidence" and "everything matches with a bit of confidence". I have such a huge love of thrifting and sewing and how it can be a creative outlet, but this was a much needed reminder to be mindful of identifying too deeply with it - no matter how gorgeous your wardrobe is it won't make any difference if you haven't done the self-work. this video is so beautifully made and i think i'll be returning to it again and again over the next few weeks. i love your tips on clothing and not thinking too hard about things like matching. you said once, i think in a video with rowena, about how you're trying to learn how to be comfortable and happy anywhere and not depend so much on your physical environment. this bit on clothes struck me in a similar way. i'm trying to remove myself from the rat race of trends and looking a certain way and comparing myself to others, to just be comfortable in myself, and this video was super inspiring to me toward that goal.

I am about to go on a month long trip and this is very helpful! I always want my pictures to look different so I ALWAAAAAYS over pack. But with the "cartoon character" idea, I will for sure pack less and just be mindful of switching my clothes so it will look different.

It feels so good watching your videos again especially now because in 2-days I'll become nomad again. and I don't know what to bring with me because I have my big paintings I have my music instruments I have my jacket and books and stuff. but I know that I need to be light to travel the world and make more experience in an easiest way. And I don't see myself living in cities but more into nature or villages. Oh my God I'm so happy about my choice to be a nomad but in same time I'm not going to lie I have anxiety about that. I think about the neighbours that tell me that I shouldn't have to leave everything behind me but if I stay because of stuff it's myself that I left behind..
