Hey girl! Can you do a video on your tech equipment/ accessories & how you pack it /vlog or get content while traveling ? I love your style of content, and it’ll be super helpful! :)
great vid! what kind of headphones do you use? do you have any recommendations?
for anyone who wanted to note down the capsule wardrobe:
pack for a week max
* one top per day
* one sweater for every other day (climate depending(
* one pair of jeans/skirt/shorts for every couple days
* one dress for every three days
* one pair of socks & underwear per day
* one pair of PJs
* two bags, two layering pieces, two pairs of shoes (wear one of each on the plane)
Wait so if you travel for a month you pack as if you are going to be there for a week? Is that what she meant? So that would be 7 tops etc
@@Uliulihokuyes. When travelling for over 10 days (i would say) you should really just reuse and wash throughout the vacation.
I would love if you did a “what’s in my closet” video - I have loved seeing your style evolve and feel like you’re in your best style era, and as someone new to the UK living in a small apartment, it’d be so helpful to see what pieces you prioritize and where you get them!
Yassss I love her capsule wardrobe. Please please make one please
OMG yes get wardrobe is to die for
i always thought that packing cubes were unnecessary, but after seeing how nicely it compresses everything i really want to get some for my next trip! thanks so much for all the good tips and advice 🥰
I love using cubes not only to compress clothes, but also to organize them - especially if I change hotels during my trip. It is great way to easy see what clothes are still clean ;) and if you move hotels you don't need to pack and unpack everything in every one of them (as long as you know where which clothes are). Also: if you need to take something out from suitcase during trip your clothes are not visible and are less likely to fall out :) [mine carry on suitcase have zipper compartment only on one side and other is fully visible right away - I don't think I have ever seen suitcase with both sides with zipper closing as here in video - that looks like great feature]
I was an overpacker and I noticed that most of the stuff I brought with me I didn’t even wear! So for my recent trip I just used the 6 tops and 5 bottoms tip I saw on the internet and I didn’t even ended up using everything. I noticed that I re used two of the bottoms too. Definitely less is better, at least from my experience. I don’t know why I thought I would need 3 outfits per day before.
As a frequent train traveler let me just add that having a small suitcase also has benefits in the train as you can usually use the overhead shelf while bigger ones need to be in the luggage racks where they can (technically) get stolen much easier - but great video :)
And it is way easier to carry smaller suitcase into train (especially if you have other thing, even "personal item", like smaller bag). I have traveled with many types of luggage and small suitcase and a backpack are the best combo for me
I think the reason why I need a checked luggage is because I can’t help buying stuff in other places!!!
that's so true.... you could try wearing the more volumous/heavy clothes when travelling back so there's more space in the luggage. Or put some other stuff in your handbag
This may be the most useful how-to-pack video I have seen. Thank you very much.
This is one of the best packing videos I have watched. Clearly explained and visually very well demonstrated. Thank you 😊
That white sweater is GORGEOUS
You pack your things so nice and neat Maddie & I think everyone should do it when going on a vacation.
My biggest and ONLY issue with the potential of traveling with just a carry on is my liquids… I’m a skincare and makeup and haircare freak and doing 2 weeks holiday with just the airport allowance of liquids is just undoable for me :/ even if I’d transfer them into only travel containers it’ll be too many to bring on the plane. And I can’t imagine for example not traveling with 1-2 full bottles of body sunscreen lotion as I use it all during those 2 week so 100ml would do nothing :/ liquids tbh r the only thing keeping me from traveling with carry on only and it’s really frustrating sometimes ngl
This was a great video! You say why, why packing light is better. Most CZcamsrs just say, “pack one Marino wool shirt….. for 6 weeks….” Nope. lol.
This is so useful i just came back form my trip to Australia and this video helped me so much and I’ve learned not to overpack as much as i am an over packer, so thank you so much
I still love my LV reverse monogram *luxdups* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
I have a fifteen day Transatlantic cruise next March to Europe. Your capsule wardrobe method/formula makes SO much sense bc even it's abt a year away, I was starting to feel overwhelmed by how many articles of clothing I would need to pack. I will definitely be referring back to this video when I pack....which is almost as fun as being on the actual trip/cruise/vacation etc lol.
I have never seen one of these that was actually useful. this is exceptional and I will be implementing every single thing that I don't already do! well done
this was actually super helpful and realistic omg thanks
Yes, I am able to travel with just a small book bag now, and I LOVE it.
Just been recommended your video from YT and I'm so pleased I have come across your content! Love it! These were such useful tips, thanks so much!
Amazing! you make it look so effortless and neat!
I use laundry bags as packing cubes. Comes in handy when you do laundry on the trip.
Thank you Maddie! 🤍
Loved it! Watched it twice ❤
I'm traveling to Montreal today and I was just packing my bags, the video came at the perfect time!
so helpful! i am going to france for 2 weeks in a carry on and i am a notorious overpacker, but i'm excited about giving it a shot!
Patagonia is one of the brands which often give you replacement parts for free!! You can just ask them as they have life guarantee
Love these videos! I find packing and organizing so satisfying! Great editing too 💕
Thank you Emily! 🥰🥰
Lovely tips and I appreciate your presentation
Super helpful, loved this video!!
Im going to use these tips for my trip coming up.. super helpful😊😊
Love your travel tips, especially on maximizing space. Great video!
Love this video, I'm definitely gonna use these tips for on my next trip, thank you 💕
I had no idea you could fit so much in a packing cube - I'm going with this method next time😊 Loved this video
Can’t wait to watch it, I’m so excited! I’m going away on Sunday this is perfect :)
This helped so much!
Great video with good tips for minimal packing!
This is my first video of yours, and I loved it; already subscribed!! Great editing and explanations. Will definitely be using your tips and tricks for traveling!!💛💛
First thing I noticed first second of the video is the cabin essential lite🤩 I'm so jealous because I have the same in black and I very much regret not getting the green. It looks amazing...
wow that was so so so soooo helpful! I love travelling organized and this will help me a lot.
Great content 😊 I like packing cubes good for travel. Thanks for sharing
One of my favorite travel essentials is a Burga passport cover. It looks so chic but also comes very handy as I can put my cards and documents in it and have everything in one place.
This feels like product placement somehow
This is so helpful !! ❤
Greetings from Redondo Beach 🇺🇸 Packing is very challenging to me all these years I’ve been traveling. This video is helpful. 🌷🌷
This is a very efficient video. Thank you. Agree that packing cubes are a must to keep items organized and easy to find. I also have a separate one for underwear, bras, and swimwear. I always travel with a swimsuit, you never know when you might need one. I put socks in my shoes to utilize space.
May I make a suggestion? I would put my toothbrush in a case holder so that it stays free from any contamination. Safe travels.
Scrolled thru the comments to look for this.
I second the use of a toothbrush case, even if it's just the type that encloses the toothbrush head.
I went to italy for a week and took a rucksack and what helped me for clothes was using vacuum bags with a pump! it does crease slightly but where i was staying there was an iron so it was fine
You are a life saver! I'm packing my carry on as we speak 😅
Always love to see how other people pack! :D
Really great advices! x
this video actually helped so much!! im going on a trip soon and was worried on how to pack my clothes since its a longer trip (20 days) I'm was planning on using packing cubes but was worried on how much I could fit :') this helped a lot
yaaas I love this content!
These are great tips! My husband and I traveling in Italy for two weeks in May (our first time international), so i will definitely be putting these to use! We only opted for a carry on but up until now I was stressing about that fact. Haha
I love your shorter form content and this longer form content as well!
I will be in Italy too and I will fly with my rain boots and the carry on!! Italy is not Spain for weather!
I am so glad I brought my cotopaxi carry on for my trip to Portugal! So many cobblestone roads, I felt bad for the people I saw trying to drag their rolling suitcases on the roads. Carry on is always the way to go, backpack even better :D
Brand new subacriber here! Thanks for the content. I enjoy getting new ideas about packing lighter & carry-on only. 😊❤️
i love the tips!!
Very clear and informative. I especially liked the weather and capsule wardrobe formula, because I always tend to overpack. 😅 Mostly because I'm not sure about the weather. I'll definitely give these tips a try next time I travel. Thank you!
I would say to stop overpacking is to stop having too many things. I only wear few pieces over and over but somehow when i travel i wanna take all... so that needs a self reflection itself. Also you dont need a top for everyday. One top for every three days should be enough unless its an extreme heat or humidity.
Very timely! I will be flying to the US for 2 weeks next week, and it is my first time. I was worried about how to pack and if I should check in some baggage. Thank you! I will pack light and follow these tips.
Wish I found this video before my last trip. 😫 It would've helped so much. On the bright side, now I know better for the next one 😄
I love packing light, I always go with 2 bottoms, 2 tops, and a jacket/sweater even for a 2 day trip incase something happens to the clothes and a full change is needed. For a week 3 top, 2 bottoms, and maybe a dress (I am slowly moving over to more dresses); then 4-6 tops, 2-3 bottoms, 2-3 dresses, and of course 2 jackets/cardigans for anything over a week. Honestly even the above listed “one week” can sometimes be over kill since I always wear items at least twice and if I am wearing my favorite wool items I could go the whole week in one outfit without needing to wash it or feeling gross (for all you doubters I too was HIGHLY skeptical of these claims and now know that wool fabric is legit magic and a new must in my closet lol).
i used to pack a lot of clothes for trips but recently i started downsizing to just a 25 litre backpack and i don’t see myself going back. of course i can only have a couple of outfits, but for me the benefits of being able to not be dependant on accommodation and mobility in general massively outweigh the drawbacks. i prioritise lighter clothes that take up less space and for me it’s been enough for trips up to 2 weeks (with washing) and i’m sure it could go further, i’ve even had space for souvenirs.
This was very helpful❤ I’m going abroad soon so gonna’ use these things!
Hearing you talk about losing your luggage. I can relate since I had a horrendous experience of losing my luggage and never got it back. One of the most stressful airport experiences 😭
I have the most basic Away Luggage in blue and last time I used it, a girl removed it from the luggage belt and was halfway to her destination before she realised it said my name and not hers on the tag 😅 THANKFULLY I had written my number on it just in case but omg
Thank you so much ❤❤❤
So cool!
Muchas gracias me sirvió un montón este video❤
This is really helpful. I'm a maximalist and bad at packing but I really think packing light is the way to go when on a trip. I will use these tips. Thank you so much.🥰
Haha me too. All I was thinking was where is the tissues, the nail tools, the first aid items, the tablets, the 100 pairs of knickers, the chewing gum and 10 lip balms 😂
@@x-starlight-x Exactly this.🤣🤣🤣
Amazing video! I will come back to your video, when i‘m going to travel! ☀️
Thank you so much! 🥰🥰
😮Thank youuu!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Yes to overpacking for me LOL. Trying to keep everything simple and minimal cause a lot more stress.
This is how I typically pack as well. I find that my bulkiest items are my skincare and makeup products. I’m still trying to find the most efficient technique. Anyway, I love your videos, and thank you for sharing! 🥰
Me watching this with my 70l backpack currently in Thailand 😢😅 spent so much on checking in my bag! X
Thanks for an amazing video! Would you mind linking the green tote bag you used as your personal item?
Great video❤
Its easier definitely, if solo or just packing for one !!! But if travelling family with small kids its not possible, you have to check a bag, otherwise the parents will be stuck with holding kids hands and rolling each ones carry on suitcases
I wonder if you have to worry about the weight limit though. I know a lot of airlines don't really care about the weight, but there may be a day where someone just randomly decided to ask you to weigh your carry on.
Hi it was a well coordinated video, the flow was perfect I was surprised it ended so soo. TT I ’d love to get a link to your toiletrie containers I love the fact they’re magnetic
idk if this is just england, but most airlines here allow you to have a personal item (handbag) as well as a small cabin bag (backpack) for free and then you add on a carry on suitcase for an extra cost, so technically you could bring 3 bags with you
Hey, LOVE your tote bag ❤ mine sharing where to get that? Love the space, colour and texture!😊
I’ll never understand why people put suitcases & their wheels on clean white bedding, yikes
Mostly done by the Whites 😛
@@HappyLife-nf7wb? Whites
MAYBE she washes her suitcase when she gets home…I use antibacterial wipes all over including the wheels as I bring into my front door before unpacking.
🙄🙄😒
My thoughts exactly. But I also wipe down my suitcases and the wheels and sun them immediately after travel.
Where is that handbag from, it is acc so nice ❤
Very helpful 😊 That brown handbag you packed looks lovely. Where did you get it?
Great camera work and editing, makes it look so professional! I loved the tips too, you are my favourite CZcamsr by far! 🫶
love ittt
Doesn’t carry on have a strict weight limit though? In India, domestic flights have 7 or 8 kg allowance in economy, which can sometimes not be enough after you add shoes and toiletries, or a hair straightening tool. Last year I travelled on a domestic flight via FinnAir, and they only allowed 3 liquid items in the standard zip lock bag, even if you had space for more.
Love this video. So well done and your tips are great. This coming from someone who travels light and uses shampoo and conditioner bars and sometimes chewable tooth tabs.
Where's the shampoo and conditioner bars from?
Hey Maddie, love watching your home and travel content. I wanted to offer you a small tip regarding skin congestion based on your last video after your travels in Costa Rica and Central America. Travelling in tropical climate countries means lots of sunscreen and when it’s not washed off properly, it can cause skin congestion. You should try double cleansing with an oil cleanser first, followed by a foamy gel or cream cleanser when you wear sunscreen or makeup. It helps a lot. My favourite oil cleansers are from Shu Uemura or Bobbi Brown. If you have not used one before, the tip is to use it as the first step during cleansing on dry skin. Pour some on your hand and massage the oil into your face to loosen the sunscreen, dirt, facial oil, grime, dust and gently massage your face. Then wet your palms and go over your face to emulsify your face and the oil will turn milky white. Then, rinse your face and follow with a gel or cream cleanser. The oil cleanser doesn’t make your skin oily but it’s great to lift and loosen any oil, dirt or sunscreen from your pores. I hope this will help with your skin during your next travel especially to hot, humid, tropical climates 😊
Luv your video! But I want to know what’s your handbag 👜and where’d you get it from! ☺️
I live in Florida and I have a European cruise starting and ending in Barcelona, so I have a long flight to and from Orlando. I'm a bit indecisive abt not checking my suitcase. I will be traveling light wth just a carry-on and personal item(this may be TMI haha) but I drink a lot of water thus I have to use the restroom frequently. It's quite a hassle having to maneuver even two small pieces of luggage in a toilet stall lol, then trying to find another seat at my gate. For this reason alone, I tend to check my luggage. I actually feel less stress this way, carting only my flight and a change of clothes wth flight essentials in a small sling bag.
Please do a video about capsule wardrobes!🥹😍
Love this video! :) Would you mind sharing the brand of your pyjama? Soo cuute :)
such lovely info! love your videos.
Very nice 👍
Great video! Thank you for the inspo. I was wondering how would you have extra shoes? Do you use packing cubes or have suggestions? I am going to be traveling for 3 weeks and am planning to pack flip-flops/sandles, walking shoes, and doc Chelsea boots, but I don’t want them to dirty my clean clothes.
This was a great video! Could you do a video about how you pack for Costa Rica?
X2
On a 2 1/2 week trip to Costa Rica & Nicaragua I took a carry on backpack with wheels.. I never once pulled out the back pack part... I gave it away on my return home...
Awesome tips! I’m working on a capsule wardrobe for 19 days in Greece, and I’m down to 13 pieces. Every capsule wardrobe video I watch helps!! Also how does that personal bag go under the seat without spilling everywhere it looks like it has no zipper?
Hi! Could I know what bag you use for personal items ? Loved the video!
I've been wondering about that hip strap! They make a world of difference.
I have an Osprey that zips open like a suitcase--my favorite piece of luggage by far.
I absolutely love my Osprey! Love that I can carry it, but if I need to check it (like at the gate because we’re on an old small plane) I can zip away the straps.
@@paigestatham6363 yesss! I love being able to zip away my straps and use as a duffel when the straps get in the way. Can't convince me that any other bag is perfect for my lifestyle.
@@paigestatham6363could You share the Osprey's name please
