- The Insta360 Go 2 is one of the best action cameras around, so I wanted to see what happened when I strapped one to my cat Mervin. And seeing his little paws climb a tree is pretty awesome.

If you put an action camera on my cat and later reviewed the footage, it would basically be the same as sitting the camera down on a blanket and recording all day.

Thank you for sharing this! Living with cats most of my life and this was a new facet of cat-dom for me. I've been blessed with some very entertaining, smart and funny felines along the way. All unique, all loved. Happy cats are fun to live with!
Such pretty paws! Someone else mentioned the careful steps thru the forest. Just HOW careful surprised me.
The degree of the gentleness of the landings both jumping down and jumping up into the tree surprised me, too. I know how agile and graceful they are but this was a revelation.
Cats are darn special. Just watch how this cat does everything with forethought. Every step is balanced and there is nothing done in a crazy way. They can be silly and just go berserk, but this cat shows how meticulous and planned every thing they do. Except if it was a brown box, kitty would just jump right in.
I like how this cat uses a very delicate tip toe step in the neighbor’s yard. 😂
That is pretty cool, I would love to see what my cat does in the backyard.

This got recommended to me on my Google feed on my phone. Now I am more curious how you got this on the Google feed of my phone.
Must be weird being a small yet incredibly agile little creature that somehow instinctively knows it's lightweight and very flexible, and can pull off amazing jumps and acrobatic feats with seeming ease.
At the end I think the camera got flipped downward from the force of the landing, because the cat was probably not looking straight down at the ground the entire time.
Great look into Mervin's day.
And I love that name - it's of Welsh origin and means _"Sea Friend"._

Reminded me why my beloved Murphy was so obnoxious to try to sleep with. His preferred position put his whiskers right at my nose level. I could only stand the tickle for so long. I'd move my head, he'd snuggle closer. My son was his sister's human. She put him to bed every night. Stayed with him no matter how bad he squished her in his sleep. Completely devoted to her boy.
