    what are the types of regular astigmatism?
    The video describes about important terms like with the rule and against the rule astigmatism and how to treat them .It talks about about the oblique and bioblique astigmatism.

    Great video! However, I don't understand one thing. Why the axis of the correction cylinder has to be perpendicular to the plane where we want to give the power?

    • @ridhigupta8583
      @ridhigupta8583 Před 10 měsíci +1

      It is Because the power of lens is perpendicular to its axis ..so if you want to correct vertical power the axis of lens should be horizontal so that the power of lens is in vertical direction

    • @InsightOphthalmology
      @InsightOphthalmology  Před 2 lety

      It is because of the geometrical structure of the cylinder... A Cylinderical lens is derived from a cylinder in which The curved has the power... And the axis is a line drawn through the centre of the cylinder..
