Great video! I lost close to 30 pounds by eating only two times a day, ate everything I wanted. No snacks in between, only water. I noticed less I ate, less I wanted to eat. It’s a new habit that needed to be developed, and it feels great.

Intermittent fasting is definitely the way to go. The body needs to rest and shouldn't be working to digest food constantly. The average person eats too much but if you are eating nutritionally dense foods you won't be hungry all the time anyway. For anyone that is having difficulty fasting I would suggest drinking more water. It really does keep you full if you are drinking the daily amount required for your BMI.

This was a lovely video. I also find intermittent fasting one of the keys to a long healthy life. I was a vegetarian for years and became vegan, whole food plant based, about 4 years ago. My LDL cholesterol dropped 20 points, I lost 20 pounds and in my 60's now, I feel healthier and more energetic than I did 20 years ago. We all have to find the path that works best for us, and your calm inviting nature makes space for that.

I’ve been doing IF for about 3 months now, usually 18:6. One or two days a week I don’t do IF and my body seems to like the variation. One important thing I’ve learned is to eat enough until I’m satiated with each meal (2 meals plus a snack or two) that way my body doesn’t think it’s being starved. I think that’s the key to success with IF for me.

Protein at each meal - adding a 2nd egg to your first meal and say a high protein yoghurt to your fruit would be an excellent way to increase your protein intake

Eat a whole food plant based diet and eat when you want and until you are satisfied. It's so simple really and I'm not sure why people complicate things so much. Of course you lost weight eating the nominal amount of food you did, but it won't be sustainable if you're hungry half the time.

I am not so sure that your 25 pound weight loss is a simple by-product of your intermittent fasting. To be honest. Most people would loose weight with such little calorie intake in a day no matter the eating window. This is a weight loss diet. A healthy variation of a weight loss diet maybe, but still… this must be easily under 1500kcal a day.

"Our diets are as varied and diverse as we are." She introduces the video reminding people that we are all different. I can vouch as an intermittent faster that as time goes on in the stomach shrinks, eating is more mindful and appreciating the colors, textures and flavors become more important than tracking calories or eating in bulk. Additionally the stomach shrinks, the appetite decreases and it's more difficult to eat large meals. She looks healthy and seems happy and has energy to do yoga and spend time outside without appearing neurotic about burning calories. I enjoyed the peaceful music, the sound of her voice and the scenery as well as the message about minimalism and taking care of her mind and body.

Great questions! Yes, I eat this way on the weekdays and weekends. During holidays or gatherings with friends and family I eat at the time everyone else does and I try to eat the healthy foods that are available. My husband eats on his own time line. We eat together as a family (if the teenagers are home). I keep the kitchen well stocked with healthy options for everyone. But, teens tend to eat junk food and fast food. If they want those things they buy it with their own money.

I tried intermittent fasting but didn’t really see the benefits other than stopping my eating at 6pm has helped me sleep better. In the morning though I think it’s better to eat when you get hungry rather than wait until a certain hour. I’m usually really hungry by 930am if I’ve not overeaten at my 5 pm dinner!!

For me eating is only to eliminate hunger but I do agree that one need to eat healthy food, intermittent fasting and exercise to take care of our body as our body is our only "vessel" that we have that carry us to the end of our life. If we loose our body prematurely ( i.e we committed "Kill") before we exhausted all our past karmic energy in this life, it will be unwholesome and we may have to start all over again.

First thank you for this video but I was told you’re not suppose to put honey in hot drinks although I like honey in coffee also. By the way your food looks so delicious I need to start eating smaller portions 😊

Water dissolves bile, so food is less digestible.
Do not add honey to a hot drink, tea or coffee, immediately, but after a few minutes, so that the nutrients in the honey are not destroyed.
Some doctors are expressly against coffee, they hold lectures around Serbia about the harmful effects of coffee. I recently listened to a gastroenterologist and he said that he drinks 12 coffees a day! How do we know? Newer research from the Mayo Clinic says that two coffees a day are beneficial.
Thanks for the beautiful and practical ideas from various fields. I use your recipes during Orthodox Lent :)
The way you shoot is pleasant and calming, which speaks about you as a person. God sends us difficulties so that we become better and smarter towards ourselves and also towards others.
All the best to you and your family!
