Mindful living trickles into all areas of my life, including my finances.
Hello! I don’t even know how you showed up in my feed 😃😃😃😃😎😎😎😎 but I started watching your videos; you are so refreshing and calm and exude tranquility and happiness 🤩🤩🤩🤩💕💕💕💕 my husband is making fun of me because I’m getting rid of stuff lol 😂 slowly starting my own minimalist process 😄😄😄😄🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR STORIES 😄😄😄
Your channel came up and enjoying as a new subscriber
Love this statement ! And love the soothing music
Where do you live? It seems a beautiful piace 🌸
You are not frugal...you are smart and live within your means while learning valuable life skills.
Farmers markets are not less expensive …ever! Shopping at a farmers market means cutting back somewhere else! Truth !
✨🌞✨
You also have to be pretty picky about which one you go to and which purveyors to buy from. The "local" produce at my towns Farmer's Market often comes from an entirely DIFFERENT state 🙄😖.
Whilst I love these tips it does wind me up when we are espoused to buy from farmers’ markets…I don’t have time! Or the money! Farmers markets are at least twice as expensive. It is a luxury for the well off. Thank you for the tips for homemade beauty products, however!
I agree. I am in NYC and farmers market produces are expensive, and are for the privileged.
I am in the UK, the farmers markets here are also so expensive. Hardly frugal i say
She does state that she's talking about what she does that works for her, not what you should do.
I'm in the UK, I do occasionally go to a farmer's market, I get ideas and tend to only buy fresh salad leaves...good food is my medicine. I live very remotely, the social contact is good for my mental health too...i was deprived of social connection when I had to shield for a year...for me, it's the tiny, everyday things I seek joy and growth in now.
I just realized how much more farmer's markets are when I visited one last week and spent so much-I had to tell myself that I'm supporting the farmers-literally. The fruit wasn't all that great either, JS😌 Thank you for the other helpful tips-especially the body butter.😀
I love how she's sitting her her big, beautiful kitchen talking about living frugally 🤔
Well her husband isn't living frugally
@@jillybe1873 😄 I see!
Update to my comment below: Connie's lovely home is rented, and the appliances were supplied by the landlord. Patti Raithel commented "Your home is beautiful, but not frugal at all. That refrigerator alone would set me back big bucks. Connie replied: "Thank you. Our home is a rental, so the fridge/appliances were already here."
We don't know Connie and her family's financial circumstances or why they are living in what seems to be a lovely residence that is either rented or purchased. Their frugal living habits will help them to keep and maintain a rented or purchased residence. There are many reasons why they may be living in a lovely home that is either rented or they own and possibly there is a combination of reasons, here are a few guesses: (1) Owned or rented, it may have been a fixer-upper and they obtained it cheaper because they had to do a lot of work on it. (2) They might have inherited a house or inherited money to purchase a house (3) They may have been able to afford a lovely rental or own the home because of their frugal way of living or their frugal way of living contributed to home ownership or being able to rent a nice residence with a nice kitchen. (4) Maybe one or both of them have jobs that pay well and combined with frugal living they were able to afford to rent a lovely home or own the home. (5) If they own it, maybe they bought it at a very big discount if it was a foreclosure or for other reasons they found a great bargain.
@@jillybe1873 at 7:04 Connie talks about preparing lunch for herself and her children, and her husband prepares his own lunch. It seems her husband is either partially following a frugal living lifestyle or he may be he is completely following Connie's ways of saving money.
So glad I found you. I'm a senior and just had a bday. I use to b very materialistic but not anymore. I want to get old HEALTHY n wise
Your BEST video!!!! Please do more on frugal living and zero waste. Thanks Again!!!
I agree!
There was just a programme done on farmers markets in Canada I believe I think it was 60 minutes.
They were talking to buyers and sellers and reporting on how much stuff at farmers markets is not grown by the sellers and some is not what they are claiming to be. They are buying from others and selling it as their own, many were lying about it just to make a sale….. beware.
Frozen foods can be very frugal, I use a lot of frozen vegetables. Where I live, vegetables are very expensive and frozen vegetables offer good value for money.
great video. Frugal living takes intentionality and is doable. I practice some of these things you suggest. It is just a new way of looking at life and what is important to me. thanks
Hi Connie,
I have enjoyed finding your channel recently. I too am a TBI survivor ( nearly 20 years) and know I had to change and accept what came my way... and do my best to be content.
I would love to know your frugal recipes for household products. Very intriguing!
Thank you again. As a long term TBI advocate... your words and teachings are blessings.

It was pleasure to watch this video. Thank you Connie for sharing
I love my morning coffee routine! But No paper filters for me! Save trees!
Hi Connie, I also heard a few years ago, if you eat fast food, such as burgers and fries when travelling, as it is a heavy meal, it makes you more tired and therefore not good for the driver. We don't stop at those places either, always pack a lunch or stop at supermarket and gets salads, etc. Another thing we don't do, is always run the air con in the car when travelling, instead winding the windows down for air. Perhaps people think we are mad and cheap, but it saves in fuel costs as well. We live in Australia and it gets very hot in Summer, but we have a dry heat where we live inland, so we also don't run an air con all the time in our home, as we don't need it because it is not humid with the heat. I just love listening to you and your common sense way of life. Best wishes. Jo xxx
I love the idea of setting a budget for eating out and not just tracking how much you spent eating out. Great tips!
Amazing video. Always calm. xx
Thanks for the very inspiring video.❤️
It’s no wonder you look so healthy! Agree with much of your advice though it takes time and a lot of young people don’t have the time and that’s how they get duped into spending more money than they need.
You are so inspiring! Thank you for sharing your strategies to being frugal. I especially like that you don’t compromise your quality of life. Blessings
I just found your channel today and I love the simplicity and gentleness.of your channel. Your voice is very soothing , the music is soft and perfect and your life of simplicity and back to basics fits right in with my own love of the simple life. I have subscribed and look forward to watching many more of your videos both past and future. Thank you for the tips on making the products.

Thoroughly enjoyed this video 👍🏾... thanks for sharing
Awesome U make your own cleaning products, cream, shampoo n conditioner!🥰 I pack my lunch every night as well. Btw love your lunch bag.💕
Thank you, very informative and relaxing video🌺🙂
Thank you for sharing these extremely helpful ideas, and in such a light and peaceful way. I started out with minimalism when I moved and I couldn't bring my furniture and all of my "stuff". I realized that it was the best thing that ever happened. Life in a non-cluttered, open space soothes me and allows me to truly rest when I am home. Although I live in a big city, I hope to move to the country where I will be able to enjoy beautiful, quiet nature around me, for free!
Great video! My daughter says I'm an escapee from a hippie commune because I make everything, including laundry detergent and underarm deodorant. I'm 73 and have taken a heck of a ribbing for my eccentric ways over the years, but my new dermatologist was blown away by my healthy complexion. I make my own skin care products, and he asked if I'd share my recipes, so perhaps he could convince his wife to try them. Eliminating harmful chemicals in my daily life has been my mission for decades, and it's really paying off in my old age.
Could you share your recipes with us. I would love to know your secret
@@heiditoon3170 I'll share with anyone -- send me your email address.
I would as well. I think less is more.
Wow! Balanced life. Love your hair and the freshness and cleanliness of your home!
I love your videos. I am going to try to make more of my products…as they run out.
♥️Very nice!! Love it!! 🥰Thanks☺️
Not sure how I didn't find your channel earlier?? I absolutely love your videos. I have been doing a lot of soul searching lately. I feel like your channel is exactly what I needed. Thanking for sharing with this community and I look forward to your upcoming videos. Blessings
I agree to this!
Gracias Connie muy buen contenido para economizar en estos tiempos difíciles 🙏🌟🌈
Hi Connie, you are just the most inspiring person and you radiate such beauty and calmness, i just love watching your videos, your calm voice and all your amazing tips. From this one i felt very inspired to make my own products. Thank you for giving so much of yourself.
Wow, amazing tips! So simple. Thanks a lot
I’m very much the artist! So….. I have my basic clothing as my base and add all the fun accessories! Most of which I make and find at thrift stores! Dressing fun is a part of me but it doesn’t have to be expensive!
The only cleaning products I use is vinegar and sometimes bleach. I don’t buy anything else.
I have tried homemade shampoo and conditioner….. but my hair is very curly and needs professional help! Lol!
I only buy food that I need, but I do stock up on basics like beans and rice, freeze meals!
I have a water bottle I use all the time and I make my own coffee!
My Tupperware is plastic containers from food I have bought…. Lol!
I like the razor idea!!!! Didn’t think of this!
Hiking is amazing!!!! And I do it a lot!
I also have practicing yoga for decades! It’s amazing!
THANK YOU Connie . I continue to appreciate your videos. Thank you for all the tips in this one and for reminding me that nature and simplicity can bring so much inner peace to the soul. Bordeaux, France
Loved the razor hack. I already meal prep for the week. I personally have found markets in Australia very expensive, but I do like to shop around for a bargin. I really enjoyed your cleaning tips, the beauty tips though.
I must say that you are such a lovely woman! Your voice is so soothing! Great video!!!!
I felt so relaxed by the way she talks and all of the helpful and mindful tips..
Is my first time on your channel and I love that you actually taught us how to make the product people always talk about it but they don’t actually show us what to do
Welcome Ginny! Glad you are here.
I was naturally led to your channel this morning after putting the intention of what I want to change in my life. I wanted to ask, what clothing brands do you wear? Are they sustainable? I like your curated minimalist style.
Спасибо, как всегда очень познавательно!
Good healthy tips 🤗👏💐
Thank you for sharing your frugal habits.
Hope you can show your yoga routine.
Thanks for sharing ❤
Another great video! I started many of your suggestions years ago when I was a single mother wanting to watch my budget but also make life easier and live better. I have not cracked the home made body products so definitely going to give these a try. Thanks so much.
I love your channel and just stumbled on it today. I am very frugal and lead a very minimal and simple lifestyle. I try to be very deliberate on what I purchase for my home and keep things as basic as possible. I feel this is the best way for me to live and helps me with anxiety.
beautiful! I already do most everything on this video except for making my own shampoo and cleaning supplies. Thank you for having worked all this out! It is a beautiful way to live. Well done!

Loved this video. Very calming and motivating
Thanks for sharing. I’ve been using natural products , white and apple cider vinegar, baking soda, Castile soap, coconut oil and salt, for cleaning for most of my life. My mom taught me as a child to rinse my hair with white vinegar. My mom and grandmother made our soap. I’ve been using Castile soap for body wash and shampoo for many years. I buy a gallon at a time that will last for about a year. Coconut oil is only thing I use for body moisturizer. Like you ,I mix it with baking soda for deodorant. I mix a few drops of frankincense oil with coconut oil for my face moisturizer. As a nurse I am mindful of chemicals on the skin. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for sharing your story!
You are doing something right!!! Your skin is absolutely gorgeous, glowing, beautiful & youthful. ❤
Thank you so much!! You are so kind!
Hi Connie..we r so similar it's strange! (Not to look at, family situation or style) but attitude..eating wholefood..making just about everything myself too..including natural toiletries and cleaning stuff. Also the love of hiking and yoga! You are a kindred spirit! Thanks for sharing. X p.s a tip for those of us in colder climes..if you fancy a go at the deodorant Connie made..a few tsps of EV olive oil added make it not set so hard in winter. I usually add some lavender essential oil too.
Hi Suzi! It's always so nice to meet a kindred spirit who love hiking and yoga! I love your tip of adding essential oil to the deodorant.
