Stopping on a motorway because you brushed past a cone... Earth shatteringly stupid.
Looked like they ran over it with front wheel, then it probably popped back up under the car and they were then dragging it along?
Yea my thoughts too. There was breaks in the cones where they could have quickly pulled in to the maintenance lane. But instead they stopped in a live lane. 😂😂
@@itchyscratch3829 Even if you are dragging a cone, stopping in a live lane is darwin award mentality.

Had someone do that to me. It was before mobile phones were common place though, he was reading a map on his lap!!
Yeah, you see it all the time - people staring down at their balls whilst driving like no-one will realise they're on their phone. I'd like to think at least this one will have learnt his lesson, but he probably won't.
Honestly... I'm 2 clips in and thinking "jesus christ... Stfu"... So many unnecessary horns and antagonism when simply letting off the accelerator a split 0.6 seconds would suffice. Humanity sucks....

Agreed
Or just don't rely on others to do your observations and make your decisions for you. Then you don't have to pull out into the path of moving vehicles.

I am the cammer who sent in 2:50 and I just want to apologise for stopping after the van overtook, I’ve only been driving for a couple months so this was the first time I’ve had this experience, I made a mistake by stopping after and put other people behind me in danger and myself. Apologies and I have learnt my lesson 👍
These things can give you a bit of a shock if you're inexperienced (or, even not) - sometimes you need a moment to recover. It's a good reminder that 'anything can happen' so I don't speed & drive defensively. 😊
It's unfortunate that sometimes oncoming vehicles will be in this situation - sometimes poor overtaking, or just happenstance. Key thing is you stopped safely.
You did what came natural. It makes sense as a new driver that your reaction was to stop and take stock of what happened before setting off again.
As I watched the clip I was urging you to get back going as you don't know if anyone is going to fly round the corner you'd just been round and slam into the back of you, but you wouldn't have been to blame for such an occurrence.
don't stop in the road. it's only to try and exaggerate the incident to look worsre than it was so you can upload to the youtubes. tbf all you had to do was ease off for 2 seconds and then carry on with your day as the van was fully back on his side by the time you got near. these nonevents happen 100s of times per day when you drive for a living - people do dumb stuff but 99% of the time it doesn't require anything more than easing off or light braking, no horn beeping or anything to antagonise the situation, then just shrug and get on with your day. it's much more relaxing. a good driver can predict what other drivers will do and so won't be surprised when they do it. that's a skill you'll learn as you drive more.

I know, let the side down! 😊
The Fiat driver is a moron: wet road & no intention of giving way - where is their sense of self-protection, if nothing else?!
This also illustrates why cutting a roundabout is dangerous: you get closer to these twerps.
Most cammers on this channel would have carried on because they "have right of way". Better to give up your right of way than it is having to deal with injuries and an insurance claim.

I wouldn't be surprised if half of the "didn't give way at roundabout" clips were because the driver wasn't indicating to take the next exit...
In the large majority of these cases, the problem is caused by the one with the camera who cannot read the road and just wants to go as fast as possible. Sometimes you need to slow down and accept that difficult junctions mean it's not always possible to get entirely out of the way.

Or the Merc should have chosen a safer place to turn around and pull out, than on a blind corner, with much safer places just a short distance up the road?

3:44 and here's why cyclists ride "in the middle of the road" sometimes. It makes stuff like this much less likely
Yea. I do that when getting close to the top of a bridge to discourage drivers from trying to overtake when there's no room for 2 cars + me on the side. I always wave a "Thank you" when they do wait the 10s it takes to get over. Crazy that it only stops half of them. If a car comes the other direction then I'll be the one squished when the overtaker swerves to avoid the head-on collision :(
Also, this is how a majority of those accidents happen. Motorist overtakes cyclist and promptly forgets they are there.
And then the internet is full of comments like "why did the cyclist try to overtake a turning car" or "why did the cyclist position himself right next to the lorry with blinkers on" and of course "why wasn't he wearing a helmet???" Disgusting.

Hi! That clip was me, I did speed up slightly as it was coming off a roundabout and that’s a 60mph road. I didn’t speed up purely to close the gap as they were overtaking. I somehow struggle to see how you’re aiming to place blame on me when the Discovery failed to look down the road and see an oncoming vehicle. The ‘blurring’ you’re referring to, I didn’t blur that must’ve been the editor but I can tell that’s it’s of my reg plate, not my speed 😂 if you are concerned about the speed however it was roughly 45mph as like I’ve just said, it was coming off a roundabout.

If someone pulls out of a junction and blocks you suddenly where you have to emergency brake, that's a problem. If someone pulls out to join the opposite side traffic but you are able to slow down safely and wait for them to join, to me this is not a problem or unsafe. Two questions about dirt bike riders, why do they always drive around school finishing times and why do the cun7# never fall off when they pull wheelies?
1: They are mostly kids or showing off to the only people who are likely to see them as anything other than scumbags.
2: Because there is no god.

3:46 I wonder who will be the first to blame the cyclist for them being hit by the van.
notice that alot on this channel. Comments seem to cream at the thought of blaming cyclists
@@AzguardMikeUnfortunately true and they try and justify it by saying cyclists run red lights etc. some do, a lot don't. But to use that as justification is childish.
@@garyboyle695 Van wanted to turn, cyclist wanted to go straight, van turned was all clear as cyclist was in blind spot essentially, then boom. If cyclists understand their vulnerability and hanged back at intersections, then collision avoided unless person behind doesn't see cyclist
tbh obviously the van driver was entirely at fault, rightly so. side note though, personally I just don't know how you go your entire life without hearing the pieces of advice that read "never ever ever sit on the left side of a lorry/van" and the common sense - don't go full speed into junctions, well, ever really. but like, I don't blame him, cycling is stressful enough you've got so much to think about, these things slip your mind.
@@nekotranslates The van should have just waited, not over taken and turned directly in front of the cyclist. Basic highway code, not to mention common sense.
Cant blame the blind spot wen the van driver knows full well the cyclist is there as they pulled out to over take them.
100% on the moron behind the wheel.
8:00 Gordon Ramsay anyone 😂
07:40 ran a red light but the black estate deliberately accelerated into it
We need to find out if that woman is alright at 5:10 as that is bloody ridiculous that he made a swing at her like that. Unacceptable!!
What are your thoughts on women pushing mens' buttons?
Are you equally ready to condemn that as well by any chance??
7:35 another 'professional' driver giving their trade a bad name. Why are taxi drivers like this? Hopefully they didn't have a passenger
9:48 always wondered what happened to Dougie Lampkin....
I'm really old as I thought of his dad, Martin Lampkin
@@nigelheath7048 Do you remember the TV show Kickstart?
@@slacko1971
Always watched it.
At 1:47 that's a freekin horrid roundabout as it is. The entire section from the Hop Farm needs upgrading from the times of pony & trap transportation.
1:09 what's going off here , who has right of way? i cannot see any lines
Cam car was me,
So basically, the road sharply bends to the right. The orange car is taking a approach to turn right turn (but the road is actually straight). The road markings are clear, but sunlight and camera quality just don't do its justice. People ignore it and just drive fast through that junction.
@@ThePrivateMan3301 The car failed to give way and caused me to stop. Nothing sad about that.
If you have to cause anyone to change speed or direction, as a result of your driving. It's quite a serious mistake.
The funny thing is, a driving instructor shouldn't have to tell you that. 🤣
Put your phones down! 😤
1:20 - If you've missed your exit...MISS IT, don't swerve multiple lanes 🙄 an extra few minutes on your journey won't kill you but doing that probably WILL.
2:20 - it really does baffle the mind to try and understand their thought process of saving zero seconds undertaking people to get to the red light first.
2:40 - good thing the driver wasn't in a rush, that could've end badly
2:48 - the blind bend overtake, how these people passed their test is unreal, probably someone from the 80s when safety came secondary.
3:40 - once again, someone hasn't read the highway code for not turning in front of a cyclist(this happened on my test and waited for them to pass before I took my turn) I hope the cyclist didn't just limp off and got their info, I'd be fuming at the driver!
4:30 - saw what was coming 50 yards away and didn't tap the brakes or move left 🤦♂
4:54 - if you have evidence and reg plates, report red light runners to the police.
5:32 - a bit late on the horn, pal...
7:04 - how does that even happen...? 🤨 Not like she's on a hill.
8:58 - I've never ridden a scrambler or a bike before, does he really need to be revving that much?
Patience is a virtue, especially on the road.
3:35 The Merc was already committed and in the carriageway before either of you became visible to eachother.
Classic case study for needing to be able to stop in half the space you can see is free.
7:45. Should have gone to specsavers !!
Bright green and street lights too
Of course he saw it, wasn't even that dark. Just thought he had to make a point.
3:29 try slowing down on country lane roads, going way too fast
I generally agree, but not sure this was too fast if I am honest. The merc was stupid trying to come out of the layby that way on a blind bend.
3:43 - Van driver had literally 0 patience, wow :(
7:32 - Looks like that BMW stomped on it just to catch up with and clip the red light runner.
0:58. Jake. The black car was giving way. The perils of 'letting someone out'. I've learned my lesson to my cost in this respect and no longer do it.
05:24 It's called kamikaze roundabout for a reason.
It was the over reaction of the century. She had about 15 miles of clearance before the XC90 pulled out.
#1 makes me so angry seeing this, on their phone and causes damage to someone else's property so selfish#3 words fail me#5 kids on bikes with no respect, you can't educate stupid, and its getting more common, but not sure why the pedestrian just stood there, shock maybe??#7 a typical onecar#9 overtaking on a blind bend could have been fatal#12 the van driver should have his license revoked, I really hope they served justice on them. #last one, another one just out of nappies on a motor bike.
Uninsured dirt bikes, the preserve of every council estate turd hole across the land.
Dear paul give way to the right when unsure.
1:20 total lack of forward panning.
Was it an omen the heavy recovery truck was there?
Cammer was a prat stopping on the live lane
Love how people think i indicated so have the right of way to pull in front of you.
That organ donar in the last clip I was amazed that he didn't fall off.
First one, Luke whacked his wheel on curb when pulling to side 😢
Thankfully no damage to the wheel, just a mashed up bumper 😂
