It was kind of beautiful in a way. Gohan truly stepped up and became the adult and warrior his dad envisioned him becoming. (I mean he still eventually loses, but we'll forget that part) Lmao
not gonna lie, the part where buu was taunting gohan with their voices was kinda chilling

For anyone who didn't get Nappa's joke about how he died:
He was "having a stroke" (jacking off) and died because he "put an extra notch in the belt"--he was engaging in autoerotic asphyxiation and strangling himself with the belt. That's also why he started off the conversation with "how's it hangin'?": he accidentally hanged himself.

Ahh, that makes more sense. I thought the "notch in the belt" and "ask Trunks' dad" was supposed to imply he swooped in after Vegeta's death and banged Bulma, then had a heart attack in the middle of it.
Not going to lie, I though he was talking about being unhealthy and eating a ton of crap; however, this makes MUCH more sense and I love it.

Frieza trained in the hyperbolic time chamber for the equivalent for 10 days (equivalent to 10 years of training. He obtained golden form after 4 months for reference and that got him from namek saga to ssb levels alone). He one shot killed gas who was the strongest person in universe 7 (that isn't beerus or whis) then did the same with both ultra ego vegeta and true ultra instinct goku at the same time knocking them down to base form then dipped
@@zenosama-tm3bs As a DB manga reader currently stuck in purgatory (with that damn recap saga of the Super Hero Movie), I can confirm this as well. Thankfully, Black Frieza training in a hyperbolic time chamber is more believable than 4 months to Golden Frieza. As long as Black Frieza isn't killed in the next saga, I'll be happy... and if he isn't shot to death because that would send the wrong message.

I'm honestly amazed Goku didn't squeak, not once, during his big transformation.
Also, I love how everyone, as soon as they see Gohan, is like "He's gonna say it, isn't he."
I was hoping they would lean into how legitimately terrifying Buu can be and they did it! The voices of those he’s eaten screaming from his skin is A grade body horror.
Also I laughed so hard at Popo being the one to fully charge the Spirit Bomb with just one hand that I couldn’t breathe.🤣🤣🤣
And hearing Ultimate Gohan finally say “I AM AN ADULT” followed by one of the most brutal gut punches I’ve seen to this day.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I was fully expecting a "charging my attack" song and that fight between Popo and Goten/Trunks, but I'm really happy with what we got.

Masako's scream for Super-Dee-Duper Saiyan, holy shit. They weren't lying when they said the boy swings for the fences.
Gohan being dead should not have stopped him from stomping Kid Buu. Just instant transmission over to the check in line and ask to borrow him for a few minutes. If Buu is a big enough threat to break the rules and bring Vegeta back, they can break the rules for Gohan.
And then they wish Earth and its people back while the fight is ongoing, so there's even less excuse at that point.
Bringing Vegeta back was not breaking the rules. It was just Baba who has the ability to let dead people come back for one day.
But since dead people are allowed on the world of the Kaioshin, Shin could have easily grabbed Gohan and brought him to the battlefield.

Every new chapter of Super makes the fact that End of Z takes place after Super less believable and I love the joke about that. They can't even say whether or not they'll beat Black Frieza yet because the last fight they had against him they lost lmao. Weirdly, the manga pretty clearly shows that Black Frieza takes place right before Super Hero. The anime has a different story than the manga in Super but there's really nothing in the Super Hero movie that I think makes it impossible for them to do the 2.5-ish sagas they have of Super manga material and place it between Broly and Super Hero, which is where it takes place in the manga. Super Hero is only about 1/4 of the way done in the manga now so who knows how different it will be from the movie by the end.
the manga's continuity is clearer as it's basically superhero, black Frieza, then end of z. Anime is the problem as it basically feels it's superhero, Moro, gas, black Frieza, end of z. So it feels like moro arc, gohan would be beast whenever it gets animated lol
BTW TFS released both parts together but added some alternate and jokes

the scene with goku and bulma talking was the epilogue episodes, Dragon Ball Super takes place before that episode if we are going by the timeline. That was the Uub episodes. Never understood why they made super take place before the final DBZ episodes
Fun fact: the voice actor of Bulma voices kid Trunks, and the voice actor of chi chi voices kid goten
The horror aspect of Super Buu was perfect.
The ending scene references the 'End of Z'
End of Z was retconned, and Super was brought in to be before what was supposed to be End of Z.
GT on the other hand is a timeline after End of Z where Super never happened.
I love the fact that the only reason the spirit bomb ever worked was because popo gave it all the energy.
We all feel the same, this was great! but wish they did more since they are still as capable and funny as before, but alas, burnout and copyright are very real things, I am just glad we got something. Hope the best for TFS and also great fun reaction Melon!

13:28 Oh yeah, that bit of hooplah. It's manga only territory right now but Frieza found another Hyperbolic Time Chamber and trained inside for ten years (1 day outside = 1 years inside). I don't remember clearly, but I think the immediate public response was negative. Overtime it made more sense. Before Namek, Frieza never truly pushed himself or trained. He was a prodigy who didn't put in the effort and let his base strength stagnate. After his death to Future Trunks and 1st revive, he trained until he achieved his golden form. From his second death to the Tournament of Power, he mentally trained himself in Hell to prepare for fighting Goku. DB Super version of Broly wrecked Golden Frieza for about an hour, which was a big wakeup call.
Love that when super buu had everyone’s voices happen he pulled a semi perfect cell but this time he did it right (semi-perfect cell tried to convince android 18 to willingly get absorbed and did it by mimicking android 17’s voice. However he had no clue what his personality was like so he got the impersonation wrong). Also shin: “KAIO WHAT?!” glad that came full circle.

Black Freeza and everything they mention in the End of Z scene is stuff from the Super manga that hasn't been animated yet and some things just from Super in general like Jiren.
Since we still haven't got to this scene in Super's story, it's basically just a nod that they still haven't tied things in and how retconned it's probably going to have to be to fit since nothing that's happened in Super was ever brought up in Z for obvious reasons.
This was absolutely brilliant. So many classic lines and jokes in such a small package.
It was great but imo they missed some chances to make some jokes. Like SSJ3 being epileptic.
