  • What to do when a garage sale day is a bust? Look online for nearby estate sales and head that way. Come along for vintage finds spanning many decades. From Limoges china to Mid-Century canisters, treasures abound. Iconic French designer, Georges Briard, is in the house. See vintage enamel "Ambrosia" canisters, clock, and tree well meat platter. The handmade 1975 wall calendar captures a moment in time. The bathroom even has built-in display shelves to showcase a collection. It's my kind of estate sale with lots of vintage glass and fine furnishings. You won't believe the prices!

Just this morning we were able to video chat with my daughter and son-in-law while they were in the stadium! What a crazy coincidence. They're living in Bavaria currently (military) and a couple of their German friends wanted to show them around Munich. I always take notice of your German finds along the way and I'm constantly telling my daughter about them. I'm thoroughly enjoying your channel and so happy that another channel I watch (Tarnished Treasures) recommended it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and all your great finds. Kim

The frosted tulip candleholders at 2:09 were deceiving, I believe. If I'm not mistaken, the tulip portion at the top is an addition that doesn't belong. If you Google Timo Sarpaneva iittala candlesticks you can compare and see if this is what was for sale. The authentic ones are engraved with the artist's initials on the bottom. I have several myself that I've been fortunate enough to thrift. They're quite valuable, but there are some look-alikes (which I also own a pair of), but they are obviously not engraved.
