We use the Homer Laughlin sugar bowl everyday for sweetener packets. So practical!

You mentioned that your grandmother liked to crochet. I am affiliated with a University of California campus and a recent class offering was titled, "Crochet: Hyperbolic Geometry" . . . which when chatting with the professors teaching the class, they pointed out that crochet is one example of hyperbolic geometry. I thought you might get a kick out of our grandmothers (mine, too) busily doing that type of geometry when crocheting . . . they would have had fun with that tidbit of knowledge, too.
This is neat to hear! Wish my college kids could take the class.
I have an oak table very similar to that one. We bought it in the mid 90s for $2400.
Wow, the Goodwill table was a deal. I am sure it sold fast.
The goodwill colors of the week in my area are two colors. One color is half price. The other color is $1.79. It used to be the other color was $.99 but they’ve really gone up in price. And then the Salvation Army in my town has 50% off one color during the week but on Fridays it’s 75% off and on Saturdays. That color is $.99. So if I found a top for $8.99 during the week I would’ve paid $4.50 but on Friday I would’ve paid around $2.50. But then on Saturday that top would’ve cost $.99 I did go back on Friday and find a really nice, Christopher and Banks kind of knitted hoodie with kangaroo pockets. And a really nice pair of riders jeans. I paid around two dollars apiece for them. Saturday they would’ve been $.99 apiece. But I couldn’t go on Saturday.
I can barely keep up with that pricing. You must be a skilled and seasoned Goodwill shopper with that sticker schedule.
@@LadyMaryBeth well one Goodwill is on my way to my mom’s house. Really just blocks from my house. And then the other one is a little more downtown and I don’t get there as much but I like that one better. I just know how the colors run for different thrift stores. We have Union, Gospel Mission thrift stores, and they never have sales and they never have color tags. It’s all for the mission and I get that but it would be nice if they did it.
That oak jewelry box at the beginning is exactly what I've been looking for to use as a cabinet to store my paints and brushes beside my easel or drawing table.

Yes, my pendant and bracelet are from China Baroque. These were items they offered in-store made of Chinoiserie.
