Chase is dirty!
I tried to open an bank account under my company name and EIN but all the banks required my personal SSN.. Why can't they find these people is beyond me. The bank is look to shift the liability and are garbage.
They are the worst bank of all time ! Withdrawal your money and run
Hold corporations accountable for their actions
The check was stolen from the US mail.
Since banks are federally regulated, she needs to immediately file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission.
Chase has someone on the inside who's perpetrating this crime. I had a fake check that fortunately looked dissimilar to our actual checks nearly get through, but Chase caught it based on the different look of the check compared to our actual checks and sent me an email so I was able to stop it. The amount was similar to another check and the check number was within the scheme of my check run. The inside scammers have realized that their fake check needs to be nearly identical to the actual check so the Chase fraud software lets it through the system.
Comes with the territory in the age of global outsourcing.
@@noblelies what? what the fuck does THAT have to do with anything?
Kate I hope you take it to court
Used to be you could just cancel the check. They do make copies of it so get it and see who cashed it. I never rely on banks, I tracked down a guy who cashed a $500.00 check this way as soon as I mentioned the cops he payed it back.
Low level management always ducks it up. You have to make enough noise to get the attention of folks that care about the reputation of their company.
Make sure the crime goes viral and *prominently* specify the bank's name. Mention attorneys. You'll get your money back.
CLEARLY all the writing on the check EXCEPT the signature was removed and rewritten by the thief...How is that NOT AN ALTERED CHECK???????????????????? Can't she sue or something? The bank hasn't a leg to stand on!!!!!!
That’s why you need two part checks for your proof!!!!
plot twist chase is the criminal. You have to "chase" them down and arrest them to get your money back.
All seeing eye as chase logo! Ps. Look up Chuck missler
They refuse because they dont give af
Since the check was across multiple states, it could be a federal crime.
Chase can bite it I'll never deal with that bank
Sue the bank. That's all they understand is a lawsuit.
If that happens to me in my golden years, I will figure that life in prison is less of a punishment than a retirement plan.
If there's a paper trail, you can track it. Give it to a 15yr old. They'll figure it out in a heart bit!
If the banks did their jobs properly, yes there should be a paper trail for fraudulent checks and even for wire transfers. Banks should know who their customers are “Know Your Customer” (KYC) and not allow fraudulent accounts to be opened to accept stolen funds. If they did this, stolen funds could easily be recovered. Even wire transfers can be recalled. Banks that allow funds to be stolen and banks that allow fraudulent accounts to be opened to accept stolen funds should be held financially liable. That would pretty much put an end to these types of scams.
I rarely write checks anymore. If a scammer gets ahold of one they have your account number, your signature, your address, your phone number, your check number sequence, and what your checks look like. With laser printer technology checks are easy to duplicate. Banks are also sloppy. They’re supposed to have a policy of “Know Your Customer” (KYC). This means that they verify who is opening accounts with them with proper IDs. That way, if they deposit or cash a fraudulent check, police know exactly who they are. Banks don’t seem to be doing this.
Get your $$$$ out of Chase & Wells Fargo.
Wire transfer, Zelle (over two days), USPS Priority Mail, FedEx, UPS. I'm an old guy, and haven't written a check since 2005.
The Real Scammer here is Chase Bank!
Chase, always Chase. I opened and closed a personal savings account within a month because they were so screwed up. My advice is to pull your money and run, don't walk.
It's mind boggling why people still bank at Chase. That bank always has issues.
Good morning
Because Chase is
complicent as well
as complacent.
See theft, put your
hand in the flow.
I've never had issues with US bank and i never click links or answer calls that say ' Scam likely ' stay safe
Dimon is profiting off your back. Go to a credit union and support local.
Chase bank never brother to do anything for the customer. Whenever came to an issue with the account. All they can do put their customer in to accountable.
CHASE making the news alot here lately.... not in a good way. I think I'd be moving to another bank immediately.
Don't bank with national banks such as Chase or Bank of America. Always look for local banks. They're more responsive.
So the check was at the very least fraud. And at the very worst counterfed How is she liable for any of that regardless of the time? That's an important part of having copy printed checks so you have a record.
Any updates? Guess she never got her money back. Shame.
Chase is the worst!
People just get a certificate cashiers check at bank
Where's the police 😂
Direct Deposit or Cashiers Check was needed. Anyway article questionable she would have robbed years ago with that kind of financial adatude.
Great - blame an old lady for writing a check.
It appears Chase does amything and everything to avoid responsibility. Pass.
Pull your money out of chase bank end of story
LMFAO..WHY DONT CON MEN WHAT TO INVESTIGATE THEMSELVES? the question answers itself
I would NEVER bank with Chase!!!! Chase is just the worse. Greedy asf!
